Film Screening - A SENSE OF WONDER -- March 26th
Hello!
My name is Erin Boyle; I'm the archivist at the Historical Society, and I'm coordinating a screening of the new film, A SENSE OF WONDER. Starring Kaiulani Lee, directed by Christopher Monger and filmed by Oscar-winning cinematographer Haskell Wexler, A SENSE OF WONDER is the story of Rachel Carson's love of the natural world and her fight to defend it.
As you may know, in March 2009, the National Women's History Project is honoring women who have taken the lead in the environmental movement, and they are putting special emphasis on the pioneering work of Rachel Carson. In conjunction with this campaign to raise awareness about women and the environment, we're hoping to spread the word about the premiere of A SENSE OF WONDER in Wilmington on March 26.
Would you be willing to pass on information about the event to folks at the Cape Fear Green Building Alliance? The event itself is free, and it should be a really thoughtful evening. A panel discussion will follow the film.

Join Sense of Wonder Productions and the National Women's History Project as we celebrate the release of the new Rachel Carson film, A Sense of Wonder, in a special screening hosted by the Historical Society of the Lower Cape Fear in cooperation with UNCW Environmental Studies, Cape Fear Surfrider Foundation, Tidal Creek Cooperative Food Market, and the Conservation Committee of the Cape Fear Garden Club.
