Local Designer Enters Chain of Eco Homes for Greensburg, KS Competition
A local Wilmington designer has entered a design competition for a chain of environmentally friendly homes to be built in Greensburg, Kansas. In 2007, Greensburg was flattened by an F5 tornado. Since then, the town has made a commitment to not only rebuild the town, but to also be a demonstration of sustainable design principles. The "Ranger Hybrid Home" demonstrates many green building techniques & energy efficient technologies. A select jury will vote next month, but a period of public voting happens first. The jurors will take the public votes into consideration when making their selection. Below is a link to the entry.
