Dog Saves Bag Full Of Drowning Kittens
Meet Napoleon. No, not the emperor, the dog.

Get this dog some steak, because he's a furry little hero. Napoleon jumped into a lake to save a bag full of kittens someone had thrown into the water. Now, bulldogs are known to be somewhat poor swimmers, (probably due to the stumpy leg thing)but Napoleon was able to grab the bag and tow it to shore.
Two of the six poor little kittens didn't survive and the survivors were in pretty bad shape. Happily, after being nursed for two weeks, they regained full health and are at an adoption center. (Due to the publicity, they're likely to find homes, unlike the gazillion other kitties in shelters.)
The question that pops into my mind is what kind of asshole throws a bag of kittens into a lake? I've heard of the custom before, but I was happily ignorant in thinking that it was one of those things that died out long ago and was just referenced occasionally in our culture. I was jolted out of that ignorance today when I read this story.
Jesus, man, if you don't want the kittens, drop them off at a shelter! If you can't bear to be responsible enough to take them into the shelter and talk to the staff, leave them in a box on the doorstep. Even if they're immediately put to sleep, it's more humane than drowning with your clawing, panicking siblings. And by the way, get your ****ing cat spayed. The shelters will do it dirt cheap. If you can't be responsible enough to do that, you shouldn't own a cat anyway.

Oh Sis. Ya just HAD to throw in the SUV, didncha?? Always with the salt in the wound you are.
In any event.....I too would like to smash the drowner in the face with Sister's SUV!!

That is what I drive. I'm not going to go rent a Prius when I have a perfectly good SUV with a V8 engine and new tires.

I drive a big honking V8 supercharged fast grocery getter coup. It would save no money to buy anything else by the time I paid for it. So I conserve and follow what Obama says  got new perfectly inflated tires, lined up, tuned up purrs like a kitten.
Breaks my heart about drowning kittens. I still miss my loyal kitty.
