Toddler Starved to Death by Religious Cult
http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/08/11/remains.found.ap/index.html?iref=mpstoryview
The poor kid's body was found in a suitcase. He was starved to death because he wouldn't say "amen" after meals.
The cult promised the child's mother that God would raise the boy from the dead, so she kept his body around for a week. Well, God apparently had other plans because they ended up ditching his suitcase-encased body in a storage shed and fled to another city.

Re: Toddler Starved to Death by Religious Cult
I never heard of anyone saying "Amen" at the end of a meal....but never mind that part...I don't see a toddler making a willful protest about saying "Amen" or "Oh, me" at the end of a meal. Everyone involved in this heinous act should be punished to the full extent of the law.

Re: Toddler Starved to Death by Religious Cult
This sort of religious crap breaks my heart. I know it is long past being the popular quip for Christians but WWJD was about as close as they ever got to how they should live.
Pick up a copy of "In His Steps" and hand it over to the next Mega church member with all the answers.
Some where along the line simple church leaders taught this and simple parents took it to be the gospel.

Re: Toddler Starved to Death by Religious Cult
Mega churches have their problems, but as far as I can tell this isn't a story about a mega church. Small sect with the only publically known stuff is that they wore white clothing, gave each other royal names, and said amen at the end of meals. No factual information about who they are or what they beleive has been released.
