When she found out that she had me, how scared and lonely would she have been? But being courageous...she gave birth to me. Since I'm talking about her, i really miss her. It would have been nice if there was a picture of her.

I made him become like that. Instead of being regretful, he still protected me. But, inside here...the baby kicked me. For the first time. As if the baby said: 'wake up, what are you doing here?'. That is why I came straight to here. It gave me the feeling that i needed to stay here with father and mother. As if I have to give birth to the baby here and raise the baby very well. Just how like JungWan protected me, now it's my turn to protect this baby.

preceeding events leading up to this scene:
Geum-soon has been kicked out of her in-laws home right after her husband's funeral because whenever her mother-in-law sees her, she's reminded of her son who had just passed away. She, her husband, and middle son blame Geum-soon for the death of their son/brother, since Geum-soon had called her husband who had arrived at the University when she was lost on the streets of Seoul while grocery shopping with Mother-in-law and lost connection with him when her cell was low on batteries, which led him to return to Seoul, and the eventual car collision.
Geum-soon heads to the train station, but does not buy a ticket to return to her Grandma's hometown, not wanting to worry her Grandma, or let her know that she's been kicked out. She heads to a sauna where she spends the night, and the next day, as she heads towards a place to eat, her wallet containing pictures of her and her husband along w/ her grandma and father is stolen.
She enters a bank or office sitting room, where she obtains water from the cold/warm drinking water dispensor. She eventually falls asleep, but is woken up by an employee.
She searches for a job, but is constantly turned down due to her experience, age, and gender. Downcasted, she wanders the streets and notices coffee cups lying about, which she begins to pick up. She is nearly run over by the her birthmother's (whom she has always assumed had passed away according to her grandma) new family. Geum-soon returns the coffee cups in exchange for coins and heads to a convenience store where she buys chocolates with the little money she had from returning the coffee cups.
At an underpass, she finds a place to sit and unwraps one of the chocolate and savors it. Seeing a homeless little child across from her looking at her and the chocolates, she heads over and offers him one. The child doesn't take it as his grandfather or father is sleeping next to him, who also must be as hungry as he is. Geum-soon offers him two balls of chocolates. Turning back, the occupant of where she had been has returned and kicked her bag of belongings.
She now has nowhere to go...
