Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
Hi, smoochie! Well, I can watch Kim Ho Jin, I think his acting gets better toward the end, although he's not my favorite. But unless Son Tae Young has changed dramatically, I cannot watch her. I know lots of people like her (icluding Kwon Sang Woo! LOL--she's probably a nice person), but her acting for me is like fingernails on the blackboard.......Still, maybe she's improved, won't write her off yet.
I had not seen the first few episodes of this one, so I can see that Sang min is intrigued by Min joo. But he is cold and he is only thinking about himself. He treats his father with disrespect (I enjoy Joo Hyun whenever I see him, always good) because his father embarrasses him--a father like that is not good when you're climbing the corporate ladder.

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
OK,
I saw this once before a year or two ago. With this rewatch, some of my opinions are changing a bit.
The biggest change so far is about Sang-min. As I read PhilaD’s post, the assessment of all the characters is very close to mine. The first time through, I thought Sm was a total jerk, but this time through I’m seeing Ja-Young as dense as she is beautiful. There are soo many signs Sm has changed. She just doesn’t want to see them.
And MinJoo, she’s always up front about her intentions. I’m liking her better this time around.
Mi-Ryung, yes, a real spoiled brat; as is SunJoo, but they're both still young and will grow.
Mi-Ryung parents… a bit over the top, but likeable.

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
I am home with a summer cold , and I couldn't wait to go ahead with ep 7 . I read ADwatcher's comments , and I have to agree with some of what he said . I am probably the only person here that hasn't seen this show already , so I don't have preconceived notions about the characters .
I guess you could call Ja Young dense when it comes to Sang Min , but I think it is the fact that she has committed herself to him for the past 9 years . In her mind , they are a couple ....the marriage , engagement or whatever is a formality . I don't think she is dense , but she has been blind . We all see disturbing changes in SM's behaviour , but JY has been overlooking all of it .
I never understood it when in Kdrama one of the partners refused to let go in the event of a break up . But in this case it is a little different . JY did not see this coming , and she simply can not believe it . It is kind of strange that she compares SM to a child with a new toy , and thinks he will soon come back to her .
If they were married , JY would be a prime example of the wife being the last to know .

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
Sang min is two-timing Ja young. She may not have noticed that he's distant, but they've been together a long time--he should have told Ja young (although it's hard to tell just how long Min joo has wanted Sang min). Now Min Joo just wants what she wants, ignores what anyone else wants (did you notice the way Sang min decided to marry her?? He didn't have much to say about it). She is incredibly selfish, but then so is Sang min. He's just wimpier than she is.
I know I'm prejudiced, because I've seen it before. I hate Sang min, and I love Ja young! But my favorites have not yet appeared.
