Ok... #12 on Tuesday and 13 on Thursday....

Well, it seems JY is going to be pregnant. And YES, Sang Min had no problem 'loving' JY a few weeks ago, when he got her pregnant!!! He made a comment in one scene that he had quit caring for her for some time now. Then why didn't he leave her then?

And the way that SM talks to his dad is horrible. If his dad has a different opinion than SM's then SM is so cold to him..

It also makes me mad how Min Joo has no conscience about being with Sang Min knowing what she does about his long term relationship with another woman. She just doesn't think she has to answer to anyone.

Yeah, TY feels inferior to SJ. The chemistry is definitely there. I mean, who'd want to be tied down to that screeching little banshee Mi Rung?

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

I guess I was further behind than I thought. I just finished #10. It's confirmed that Ja Young is 7 weeks pregnant and oh my gosh... Sang Min is such a dirt bag!!

While JY is sick and shocked over finding out she's pregnant, and at the Dr to confirm, SM is out with MJ shopping for a wedding ring. He's laughing and having a great time. JY is the furthest thing from his mind.

JY calls SM and asks him to meet her at the cafe. He's rude to her and hangs up. JY waits until 11pm for SM who is at the resort with MJ. When SM arrives home JY is outside waiting for him, freezing. He takes her in his car and actually buys her a cup of coffee. Then she tells him. by saying, "I'm not alone". He turns his head in disgust and bluntly tells her to GET RID OF "IT"... He accuses her of trying to hang on to him by using the pregnancy. He tells her he won't go back with her. After hearing this JY gets out of the car and SM drives off.

Next day JY is too sick to get up and has a fever. I think her mother suspects she is pregnant. THen suddenly JY is gone. She doesn't even take her cell phone. She maybe goes to an abortion clinic? She already went to the Dr. When the nurse calls her she gets up but then faints.

Sun Joo calls Tae Young to meet. Her excuse is ... what should we spend 'our' money on. He tells her he doesn't want it. They go to dinner and while there, SJ sees on TV a charity show for the children in the hospital. They look at each other, SJ has tears of compassion for the children on TV. They know immediately what to do with the money. They run happily together (love these two) and take the money to the hospital... They don't bother with leaving their names because they truly wanted to do it from the heart... They are so happy about the decision.

Mi Rung sees TY's bike and starts wiping it down with her gloves. She knows the seat is cold and runs to her house screaming for her mother to give her a cushion.. I really do not like this girl!!! She puts the cushion on TY's bike seat and then sits on it herself to warm it for him... NIce gesture but I still don't like her...

I'll try to get to #11 later today if I can..

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

I am here after ep 12 , and I have to admit I am really getting into this drama - I am looking forward to watching it emoticon . I am glad I have a chance to see such a classic drama

The story is already compelling . I will not proceed furthur til Thurs . I sure hope everyone can catch up .

I know it is not funny , but I had to laugh when JaYoung's mom was hitting SunMin because of what he is doing , and MiJoo hops into an elevator .I am starting to think that those two may be a match made in heaven , but I can't believe that whatever those two are feeling is love . It is just too precipitate - and while I can see the advantage of this match for SunMin , I am not getting what MiJoo is getting out of this .

Mi Joo is just as cold in her own way as SunMin ...and I will tell you a scene that really bothered me when she went out to the living room in her robe to read the newspaper and asked her Step mom for coffee as if she was the maid or something . What , Mi Joo ...your arms are broken ??? emoticon

SunMin is getting his face slapped alot these days - the latest time was his father . I can see that relationship imploding , and his dad doesn't even know about the pregnancy yet . He will be mortified .

It is probably a good thing the newlyweds are planning on living with Mr Lee after the wedding . No WAY do I see that arrangement working out . I have to say that SunJoo and her mother drew the short straw .

They should just rent an apt .WHen the truth come out , noone is going to want them around - including President Jo who is now JaYoung's grandma's new best friend .

It just gets better and better

I think what Minjoo gets out of it is possession, power, and, whether she knows it or not, someone just like her. It's supposed to be opposites that attract, but in this case, I think the power she gets from being in control is more than worth it to her.

Minjoo has no respect for her stepmother. She thinks that Stepmom married Dad for his money, and Dad married her because she was easy. Minjoo's a hypocrite, because she's doing the same thing, although she doesn't see it that way. After all, she "loves" Sang min (the jerk! LOL).

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

Good Morning YH Family emoticon

I've never seen Be Strong Geum Soon, but at 163 episodes, I can't commit to it. We've just started a drama with 169 episodes and are still on episode 12. We're talking a year away.

The only way I'd watch a drama with so many episodes would be if I absolutely loved it. Wanna do BB again? Kidding! Kidding! emoticon

I watch way too many dramas and movies to promise anything like a year of my life to something I've never seen. But of course, that's just me. Anybody else interested, go for it. I'm not up for that one. Sorry. I'm sure there are those who'd like to do it.

How about Kim Sam Soon? I'd watch that again in a hot minute. 16 episodes seems just right. Anybody? emoticon

Later emoticon

Well, I guess I'm anybody. In answer to your question smoochie, I just loved Kim Sam Soon and I'd go for that one too. Yup, the shorter dramas are much more appealing and usually have some eye candy to keep us interested along with good stories. What could be better than that?

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

I was out of commission for a bit. Had to move my desk; which meant I had to move my computer, no connection at the new spot, etc…. and that’s just the highlights!
What an exciting life I must lead to have moving a desk be the highlight of the day(s). Actually, I like it that way. Wouldn’t want to go through some of the things our folks in the K-Drama arena go through. Either in the drama, or in their real life. I can’t even imagine how bad things must be to contemplate suicide. Though, gotta admit, I would have liked to have been in SM’s shoes before the breakup.
I just finished watching ep 12 where mom (with the weak heart) is at the hospital. Things are moving along pretty good right now. All the plots and sub-plots are being moved along.
MinJoo; I think some have mentioned how much she and SangMin are alike. It’s true. I think both of them think they’re the center of the universe. Everything is ME, ME, ME.
And LTR, Wow. I can’t believe how she can just turn on the waterworks easier than I can blink.

I’m in agreement with Smoochie about these long dramas. Many of them are good to excellent, but they do tend to drag things out. I don’t plan to commit to another long one again.

Smoochie, jasy, I’m game for Kim Sam Soon. I’ve heard good things about it. In fact, I bought a cheapo copy. And that’s what it turned out to be. The video is very good, but the subtitles do not make any sense at all! It’d be great to be able find out what is going on. I watched about 3 eps before I gave up on it. Well, I think I used up..

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

Well, I did get thru #11 and will watch #12 tonite. I think Min Joo truly loves Sang Min. What she sees in him is not even what Ja Young saw in him when she fell in love. This Sang Min is so ugly. But Min Joo sees him as someone she can rely on to help her with the business. He is someone she respects (because of the business) and I think she just fell in love... She doesn't see the side of him that did what he did to JY.

Sun Joo doesn't seem the type that is snobby at all. The money really doesn't seem to satisfy her or bring her any happiness. She wants honesty and love. She sees Tae Young as someone who would be trustworthy and someone she could lean on. I think she's already fallen for him. It made me happy when they married in the real world..

I can't stand how Min Joo treats her step mother. If door mat mom would just stand up to MJ just once I think that would end that kind of treatment. What would Min Joo do, throw her out in her street for not getting her a cup of coffee? The least Min Joo should do is show her step mother basic respect and consideration, even if she doesn't like her.

Sang Min ... There just are no words, are there? (I mean words that we can actually show here)..

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

OK - I watched 13 tonight . This drama is constantly surprising me with the pace of the story .
I simply could not believe that JaYoung's mom died . I expected an exacerbation of her heart disease , but it seems she was a lot more fragile than she appeared .

It is a terrible blow to the Lee family , I spent almost the whole episode being shocked .

I do not hate SunMin yet , I feel like I am sitting back as an observer - watching his karmic pricetag go higher and higher . I can well see why people would blame him for this turn of events , and I was cheering on Tae Young when he went and punched him out .

The younger girl of the Lee family seems to be still in high school - it is a terrible loss for all of them . I wonder if the "backbone "role of the family will pass to Gramma or Ja Young . I think all the siblings will be growing up fast in the coming episodes .

I am really looking forward to the next installments - but I do not want to go any faster so that others can catch up emoticon

I just watched #13. And yes, I hate Sang Min. My blood just boiled when it showed him with Min Joo at the 'family' meeting and then with Min Joo while she was wedding dress shopping. I didn't hate or resent Min Joo, just Sang Min. And while they were showing these scenes of Min Joo and Sang Min moving on with their plans, it also showed Ja Young's mother die and then the devastation of the family. Yep, I hate Sang Min..

I'll check back shortly... gotta sister/hospital run to make.... So hot out...
