Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

#21... Min Joo tells Sang Min they should postpone their wedding. Sang Min is immediately mad and wants to know what she means. This goes on until Sang Min says, "FINE".. and then, "Do what you want"!

I think Min Joo is confused by Sang Min's secrecy and wants open honesty between them (she'll never get that from this jerk). Min Joo wants Sang Min to reassure her but he has too much to hide to play the comforting reassuring boyfriend.

Sang Min MO is to lash out angrily any time he thinks he's being confronted. What a slime ball..

Next morning Min Joo finds out that Sang Min had left the resort the night before. She is very upset. She tries repeatedly to contact him.

I must say, I burst out laughing when it showed Sang Min after he left the resort, throwing a fit in the car, banging the steering wheel. And when MJ tries to call him he ignores her call... Then, his angry butt gets in an accident... Too bad it wasn't serious!!

Meanwhile, Min Joo continues to try and contact him. She calls his dad and ol' dad starts in about how he will use her resort in the future. I'm already starting to NOT like the father either. He's so ignorant..

Min Joo calls Young Joon to hang with her a while because she's so upset. He is at Ja Young's when he gets the call but he is about ready to go anyway and he meets up with Min Joo and tries to comfort her. He tells her if she loves SM then she needs to let go of other things that are getting between them.

Min Joo goes to work and finds out about Sang Min's accident. She freaks out and rushes to his side. He, ever the pouting angry creep, turns from her and when she takes his hand he angrily jerks it away.

The grannies and sis come home from the trip and Ja Young has made them dinner. Other granny is very impressed with her cooking skills. Then JY starts getting morning sickness and her granny sees and knows.... knows she did not get an abortion..

I feel like I have to take deep breaths after each episode. Sang Min has a way of making me so mad!!

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

I did not get to watch YH yesterday , so I caught up with ep 21 just now . I had to laugh at a couple of moments in this episode and I hope this doesn't mean I am evil emoticon .

I think that when SM had his accident , he was looking down at his cell phone so he wove into the opposite lane and just missed hitting a truck . I 'm sorry but I started laughing when the truck kept on going !!
There was obviously a crash , and he would have been able to see it in his side mirror , but I guess he had a schedule to keep !!

One of the things that don't surprise me about MJ wanting to postpone the wedding - she jumped into this one with both feet - and I don't think their engagement has been over say 3 weeks !!!

The next funny moment to me was when Ja Young was binging on oranges ....and crying . I know we are supposed to understand that that means she is still pregnant ( which we knew ) and that she must be having cravings for Vit C . All I could think of was we would all be in better shape if we went on orange binges instead of say , CHOCOLATE !!! emoticon

MiRyung goes on her 2nd blind date and seems a bit dazed that she IS being rejected without putting on much of an act !! Surprise , MR - this is what the whole world sees !!!

Finally , I think that the actress that plays MJ must be really small . Have you noticed that he big high heeled shoes she wears makes her feet look huge , yet she still looks beat down ? Just an observation .

I guess SM is all mad now , and will make MJ jump through flaming hoops for forgiveness .

BLEEE -ACHHHH !!! emoticon

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

LOL, great points Addie. Too bad Sang Min bothered to even look up when he was driving.

I think Sang Min knows how much Min Joo loves him so he can act insulted and hurt and know she will give in. He has some nerve shaking her hand off and turning his head from her. I mean, who does he think he is? If she knew what we knew she'd tell him they are over and that he should also start looking for another job. I wonder how fast he'd go running back to Ja Young? He wouldn't be so high and mighty anymore, would he?

I think even though Ja Young is still terribly hurt by what he did to her, what he did to her mother is beyond forgiveness. I can't see her taking him back, even if she still has feelings of love for him.

I'm going in to watch #22 later tonight.

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

#22.. Sang Min continues his bratty rejection of Min Joo. He keeps his head turned from her while she is standing over him worried sick and desperate for him to 'forgive HER'... She apologizes for hurting him and has to chase him down begging him to ride with her when he is released.

He is in his room pouting when his drunk dad comes home. Dad sees a bandage on SM's head and is worried. But SM is full of anger (he sure is pissed at everyone, isn't he?) towards dad and lets him have it for his tacky behavior at the resort. As much as I can't stand SM, I think he was right to tell his dad off about that. Dat was a total embarrassment at the resort and had such gall in his expectations of his further 'daughter in law'.

Granny realizes that Ja Young didn't get the abortion and she's upset. She sees the tell-tell signs of oranges in the trash. She has talks to JY and Tae Young comes home and overhears them talking. Granny is begging JY to get rid of the baby because it will be too hard for her to raise a child without a father and the child will suffer too.

TY is horrified by what he hears and let's them know how angry he is with SM. He takes off to go after SM. SM isn't home (good thing too). However, when TY is outside SM's apt SM does come home. Imagine if TY would have met up with SM's dad!!!! I think dad would go straight to Min Joo to stop her from marrying SM... Surely MJ wouldn't marry a man who has a pregnant ex girlfriend!!

Sun Joo meets again with Tae Young and he makes sure she knows he will go no further than friendship with her. She looked hurt but she has no choice but to accept him as a friend only. Sun Joo is very lonely and she really needs a friend more than a boyfriend anyway.

Other Granny talks to Young Joon and finds out he went to Ja Young's house while her and Granny went to the hot springs. He tells grandma that he saw JY crying in the street and felt bad for her. Granny tells him that JY's boyfriend of 10 years dumped her for a rich woman. YJ now knows what is making JY so sad all the time.

I felt most sorry for Min Joo in this episode. I REALLY would like to see her dump Sang Min. I bet SM would stop giving her the cold shoulder if he really thought he was going to lose her. But he knows how much she wants him and, to me, he is trying to emotionally reel her in. Can't stand this guy!

I'm so tempted to go to #23....

Just as predicted , SM is all acting the injured party . MJ tells him he is 'Complicated " but I don't see it . I am not sure what makes SM tick yet , but I hope I will find out .

MJ is a goner , though ,now that she is chasing after him .

I agree , nsheldon . Ja Young would not go back to SM if he came crawling back . I just don't think she eer thought about where she stood on the abortion issue . Now she forced to , and I don't think it has anything to do with SM .

Now that TY knows the truth , the **** is going to hit the fan . I am looking forward to that showdown .

TY has already admitted to JY that he likes SJ , and SJ says they will just be friends . This IS going to be interesting !

I will watch 23 later , Nsheldon , but are you sure you didn't slip a 2nd episode past me ??? I am afraid we have lost the others emoticon

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

I'll watch #23 tomorrow (morning).

HELLO out there!! Anyone one else besides Addie and I watching YH???? Should we slow down? Stop? It's really good.

This time around I am really trying to do more character analyzing.... especially with Sang Min.... he can be difficult to figure out because he's so unlikeable. But I will try to find out what he's really about. I remember when Ja Young thought about their earlier years. Sang Min was fun-loving and kind. He had a good heart and was really sweet to JY.

Right now it just looks like greed took over Sang Min. Or maybe him and JY spent too many years 'going together' when they should have married sooner.. Maybe Sang Min feels he advanced well in his job and Ja Young stayed behind. She did not care about climbing the ladder of success. She was/is more down to earth and satisfied with the simple things in life... like family.

Sang Min really did not come from a warm loving family. His father loves him but Sang Min is ashamed of his father's lack of education and 'class'...

Slowing down would help me, but don't want to be a drag on the others.

As for SM some men always think the grass is greener on the other side and find out that it is not only after they have made the change. Hard not to catch an attractive rich woman like Min-Jo when she throws herself at you as hard as she can.

Usfkman: We'll slow down. It's more entertaining as posters/readers if we have more people involved. We get different points of view, and I've found that others tend to see things that just didn't occur to me...

I'll wait til the end of the week (or maybe the weekend) to watch #23. It's pretty easy to catch up because they are 1/2 hour episodes.

I think we all think the grass is greener on the other side. I think Sang Min has changed so much from the days when he first fell in love (w/JY). He has advanced a lot in the business and maybe has become materialistic and greedy.

I really can't stand how Sang Min is manipulating Min Joo now, giving her the cold shoulder, which is making her more desperate to have him!

I don't like how he treats his father (although I'm starting to not like the father either), and it's so disgusting the way SM looks down on Ja Young and her family.

I am totally in agreement to slow down and wait for the others to catch up . Yes , it is kind of hard - but I think it is better to have more people .

As far as I am concerned we can resume the previous schedule - but let's revisit this on the weekend . I hope all will touch bases by then ....

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)

It took me a lot longer to catch up than I thought it would. Last week was very busy for me so I did most of my catching up over the WE. This week is also turning out to be busy. It’s Tuesday and I’m barely starting to post… and I find out I’m still behind!! I had only watched up to #21 and I find we’re at 23.

I just finished 22 so I can at least be somewhat current.
SangMin… He really is the master manipulator isn’t he. The way he turned the situation with MinJoo around. It’s getting obvious that he learned these skills from his father. The dad is also turning the screws on MinJoo. I feel sorry for her at this point.
I knew SangMin was not seriously hurt; there’s no humidifier in his room.

I’ve kept thinking about how JaYoung misjudged Sang Min’s personality so badly. I’m thinking the changes in him developed slowly over the ten years they were together, and JaYoung missed or ignored the signs. I also think he has highly developed masking skills. Again, probably picked up from is actor dad. He does not show his evil side unless pushed into it, or when he’s with someone that is already on to him (e.g. JY and Ty now). What gets me, is how good he is at manipulating a person’s morals and ethics to achieve his goals.

BTW usfkman, I tried exercising while watching K-Dramas. After almost killing myself several times, I gave up. I don’ t have an exercise bike nor a treadmill, but I do have a small trampoline.
I don’t recommend anyone trying to bounce and read subtitles at the same time.
