Re: K-Drama: Yellow Handkerchief

To show how dense I can be: even though we've been married for over 30 years, it never dawned on me why, whenever my wife got a call from one of her friends, they'd always say, "This is such-and-such's mommy," rather than say their actual name. Now, after watching YH for awhile, I see that even married couples don't use their real names when speaking of each other to other people. They say, "such-and-such's mommy or daddy". emoticon

anybody have an idea what those messages that flashed by several times during ep 158 were all about? It could be something to do w/ KBS and KTE and then there was something about 12/15 or 12:15?

No, but I get it via satellite. The only info we've received recently has been an apology from TAN about switching satellites and a warning about sunspot activity. emoticon

Saw ep #159... Just hate that this will end very soon. I have (can't believe I'm saying this) sympathy for SM & see such compassion in him. The look of love in his eyes for the children makes me 'want' to forgive his past selfishness. Geeze, we all make mistakes! Time to forgive (which is exactly what the writers want us to do)....

I haven't gotten that far yet, but I too am increasingly sympathetic. But maybe it's because I'm a father as well and can understand how, confronted with the living reality, he can do a complete 180.

BTW, I've started my own BB:

This forum will be devoted to ancient and medieval studies on all topics from all societies around the world. So if anyone has any interest, please feel free to drop in.

Read synopsis on drama you believe may follow YH, One Million Roses. Actor Lee Chang Hoon is one of my favorites. I am sorry that YH is ending (have enjoyed it tremendously) but am looking forward to OMR... I really enjoy seeing repeat actors/actresses in different roles & personalities. Where I watch YH I only have about 9 days left. It has been really a wonderful drama...

posticon What did you think??

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie in here...hehehe...found out this site from the chicago club. i saw the ending of "YH". i was wondering what do other YH fans think of the ending? i know since this is a base for Californians fans...so I'm assuming everyone had seen it?? but i won't say it in case you haven't...hehe. I sure wish the ending was a different ending. It was happy yet sad at the same time.

Though I'm quite sad that YH ended (since it has been on for so long) but I'm looking forward to "OMR" cuz I see familiar faces again. I love Lee Chang Hoon and Yoon Hae Young when they were in "This is love". I was wondering if I can ever see them in another serie...hehehe.

bye bye all emoticon

Re: What did you think??

I figure this is the *Los Angeles* regional board, so I say go ahead and freely discuss the ending! Hey, if you’re reading from outside California, read at your own risk!

I already pretty much blabbed myself out on the Chicago board about the final episode, but I’ll say here that I thought that the second-to-last episode was really good. The re-marriage of Sang-min and Min-joo was a real tearjerker (and that’s from somebody who HATED Sang-min – at least, up until recently. And (for all the viewers who were with YH from the very start) I really found it a little eerie the way it started out Christmas music and Christmas shopping – just like episode #1 did. I loved the way YH had gone full circle.

The final episode was pretty good, but it also left a lot of things hanging. And the Sang-min death scene was a little over-the-top. It didn’t affect me (emotionally) the way their re-marriage did the episode before.

Somebody on the Chicago board had watched that final episode on Soompi, and discovered that a lot of scenes had been cut from the KTE broadcast. Given that a full episode of YH runs about 35 minutes (without commercials) and that KTE’s final episode only ran 28 minutes, it’s obvious that a whole lot of that final episode got the axe. So disappointing!

YH was the best!! I loved the next to last episode best. I was boo hooing all over the place. Last episode had missing scenes but a kind viewer was able to fill me in (much appreciated). I started on OMR last nite but couldn't quite stay awake for the entire episode. Just too sleepy... But, I, like others, also will enjoy seeing the charaters from previous dramas. I am sure we'll all enjoy OMR (maybe not as much as we have enjoyed YH) emoticon

Due to the Calornia fire, I missed the last two episodes. I wonder if someone might have taped it or would allow it to be d/l.
Is YH been shown any place else in the US?
