Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
Ep 35
MinJoo got a haircut , and she looks very attractive . Sang Min is starting to look more evil to me , and I wonder if his head gets any bigger if he will be able to fit through the door !
I can't believe that he asked JY is she was going out with YJ to get closer to his family ?? WHAT ??????
Did I miss something , or does the whole world revolve around SM ?? Too Much !!
In the meantime , Young Joon saw SM demand that JY go with him , and he called him on it . Not so much that but I think he was serving SM notice that he , YJ , is taking an interest in JY's affairs .
SM keeps digging in deeper and deeper , and I wonder how big the explosion will be when all this blows .
I have to say I feel sorry for SunJoo . I think she really cares for TaeYoung , and she doesn't know what to do about it . The obvious stuff is not working , and there is much opposition . In fact , BOTH families object to the Other families background without even looking at the 2 as individuals .
I think TY is upset , too . but at least he knows the real reason why they can't date .
When SJ started crying in front of her mother , I felt really bad for her . I am not sure she has ever felt the support of a loving family , and she could probably do better at the Yoon House
It was a no brainer that JY would run into MJ in the office bldg . I am glad JY went there with her head held high . I wonder why MJ doesn't feel the icey Arctic blast whenever she sees JY ? She is not very astute , is she ?????

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
I just finished ep 36 , and sometimes it is SO hard to stop at the end of the ep !!
It was impossible when we were watching only one ep , though . There is always a lot of action going on , but I think there were a couple of instances where Young Joon should feel encouraged - at least , that is how I see it .
He called during the fateful lunch with SM and MJ - so he knew the what, why, and where . I loved it when he called SM and asked why he would allow a situation to exist where JY would be uncomfortable - then he hung up on SM !! YJ is acting as JY's protector , and she could use it .
I thought it was encouraging when JY called YJ first afterwards to tell him about the lunch - then when he drove up and surprised her , she was smiling . It may just be me , but I think it is the first time she did that .
It made her whole face light up , and even though she may not want to , she is leaning on him .
As far as TY and SJ - he has told her the ugly truth about SM. Somehow , I don't think she will be able to keep this to herself - she is just too volatile and unhappy ....
MiRyung just can't give it up . She may be able to talk her parents in to a wedding , but there will be no groom !!

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
I agree with you , nsheldon There are no boring episodes !!
I watched 37 and 38 . I usually stop in between the eps and post , but I really couldn't stop this time - it was so good . There was so much going on , I could watch these again tomorrow so I get it all straight !! ( and I probably will )
I don't believe Ja Young is deliberately leading Young Joon on anymore ...I don't think she can help it . I think that inspite of herself and her situation , she likes YJ ,a nd it is hard to ask her to give him up . Like her friend from the office said " He moves faster than I thought he would " but the outcome is the same .
JY is a beautiful person , but she is thinking that now the truth of her pregnancy will take care of YJ's inclinations towards her ....I just don't know about that . I know that his grandmother was perhaps less than thrilled with the news that YJ cares for JY - but I am SO relieved that she didn't discriminate against JY because of her previous relationship !! I thought maybe the double standard would prevail .
I don't know if YJ proposed in so many words , but I think he got his message across to JY what his "intentions " were . I quite enjoyed the montage which played in JY's mind at the end of the ep = where she is reviewing all the times she spent with YJ - I think he was wormed his way into her heart .
AS far as SunJoo and Taeyoung are concerned - they are both suffering . SJ tells SM that she knows what he did , and she tells her mother too . NONE of them will tell MiJoo - I think his secret is safe for the time being . SJ and TY are meeting for their "final " goodbye . I am not so sure about that , but it should make for an interesting interlude anyway .
I know think that SM"s dad college roomie is HIS karmic payback ! It is kind of funny , though I hope the college guy doesn't turn into a big curmudgeon like dad - especially if he starts working with /gets to know NaYoung . If anything happens there , it is because they both love money ...
I know SM betrayed JY - but I am starting to think it may be the best thing that ever happened to her !!
Back tomorrow

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
Ooooooh, I so agree with you Addie... The best thing ever for Ja Young turned out to be Sang Min betraying her. He's such a loser in my book.
I am a bit worried about Ja Young allowing Young Joon to become more attached to her. She knows how he feels if she's told Joo Yun that Young Joon proposed to her. That's pretty strong feelings. Now she's made it clear to us (the audience) that she has no intentions of getting something going with YJ... but yet, she continues to see him.
So sad to see the young lovers Tae Young and Sun Joo part before they even get together.
Now, when the three kids (Tae Young, Ja Young and Na Young) went to the cemetery to spend time with their mom, I was a bit surprised by Young Joon showing up. I mean, there are a lot of places I feel are ok for him to show up .... but the cemetery (kinda personal)? I know I know, he dropped his granny off with JY's granny and knew they had taken the bus....
It was very nice of YJ to take JY, TY and NY to the movies and out to eat. THey all had a good time.
Next day YJ sends JY a monster basket of flowers. He also tells her he will start calling her every day.
Min Joo calls SM's dad and he wants to know if she got the recipe for making him kimchee. She immediately gets frustrated but tries to cover herself by inviting him out to lunch. He declines and hangs up on her. She then calls her stepmom and tells (orders) her to make side dishes for SM's dad. Stepmom does so and takes them to dad (bet roomie will be mad he was so stingy with his noodles!).
Na Young and Mi Ryung go to that same Chinese restaurant where NY couldn't pay. Of course, the roomie is there. Are they throwing NY and Roomie together?
I think JY is about ready to tell YJ the truth now...
YJ's granny is ok with YJ being with JY because they both have past loves. But a pregnancy?

Hmm.. I missed the fact Bigfoot got a haircut. I’ll have to go back and see if I can see a difference.
Nsheldon wrote: #37 Ja Young and Young Joon have dinner together and afterwards they play kick the rock hopping on one foot... She laughs at him. I'm glad YJ makes her smile..
It’s good to see JY smiling some. She looks so much better with a smile on her face.
Geeez, I’d almost forgotten about that game. I think I can still kick a rock; or hop (once) on one foot, but I don’t think I can do them both at the same time anymore. Not even sure I could see the rock to kick, even.
Could not believe that SM's dad's roomie made noodles and to share w/dad he wanted money for ingredients. These two guys are just the same! LOL
At least he doesn’t charge labor.

I don’t think she was actually leading him on. As you mentioned, she just had so many other things on her mind, Her mother, the baby, Tae-young and Na-young’s problems, that she didn’t even think of the implications of seeing a “person” might be. Now, I think it’s too late. I think she likes YJ.

Yep. I think TY sees the situation better than SunJoo. Sunjoo just wants someone to love her. So sad.
I remember the first time I saw Han Ga In. She was in Terms of Endearment. I was captivated by her. I only got to see two (portions) eps of TOE. One probably near the end, and the last few minutes of the last one. The ending did not make sense to me, I hope I can see it all someday. Don’t know if YH is before or after TOE, but I find her look in YH to be harsher than in TOE. Still a very attractive woman.
