#39 Granny wants to know what Ja Young is going to do about the baby. She said she cannot abort. Hopefully, if this is her decision, she will quit drinking and taking the stairs!!!
Min Joo wants to know if Dad called (to thank them) for the side dishes... Nope, he didn't. Min Joo thinks dad is inconsiderate. I found it odd that when she was in the bedroom, complaining to Sang Min about his dad, she starts thinking about Dad.... It seems to me that she can't get over being mad that Dad doesn't accept her. She won't try to look at things from Dad's point of view .. he loved the girl his son was with for 10 years and was supposed to marry.... Min Joo expects instant acceptance in anything she says or does or she is mad.
On the other hand, now that Min Joo is married to Sang Min, Dad needs to get over his ridiculous attitude towards Min Joo. What's done is done so he needs to quit acting so hateful.
Speaking of Dad.... His roomie (now we know his name is Ki Hoon) doesn't want to share a thing... including his TOWEL.... Come on Dad, would you really want to use the same towel as someone else? Yuck!!
And, it seems that Na Young has had an ongoing online relationship with Ki Hoon all these months. They will be working at the same restaurant too... Something to be revealed later...
Tae Young and Sun Joo have their last moment together... He holds her hand and puts a star necklace in it. When she leaves he is following behind on his bike and both are crying.. sooooo sad...
Sun Joo later tells Mom to find her a husband, ASAP. She said as long as SM & MJ approve she'll marry. Sang Min tells Min Joo that SJ is putting her life out there for others to make decisions... REALLY? Wasn't it YOU Sang Min who would not allow SJ to have the man she loved? JERK..
Ja Young calls Young Joon to meet.. He first takes her to a gathering with his friends. Later they are together and he asked if she had a good time. It was like she was taking her last breath to say yes. She really can be boring... Anyway, he knows she has something to say and he is afraid it won't be good. She tells him "I'll tell you why I can't accept you"....

I watched ep 39 last night , but i didn't have time to post - i am going to watch 40 later or tomorrow .
I am so not liking SM' s dad , and I find the idea that he would use KiHoon's towel disgusting . I could say that KiHoon is fussy , and he is certainly a penny pincher BUT I wouldn't like any body using my towel either
KH may also be a poor college student , so he can be forgiven for appearing tight .
SM's dad , on the other hand , should be rolling in $$ . He is collecting rent , a living allowance from SM ,and handouts from MJ . I think , as you said , nsheldon - he is greedy .
I think that I would feel sorry for MJ , but IMHO she and SM's dad deserve each other .
I am most upset about TaeYoung and SunJoo . They are going to be apart , but SunJoo's plan to marry ASAP seems to me that she is jumping from the frying pan to the fire . She will do ANYTHING to get out of that house , and this appears to be the only way .
Why would ANYONE think that getting married to someone you don't know and don't love is better than moving out on your own or studying abroad . The logic - if there is any - escapes me !!!!!

When it is so hot outside - it seems like a great time to watch Yellow Handkerchief ep #40 - PLUS , I don't have to wait so long til the next installment !! 
It is a heart wrenching scene, to be sure , when JaYoung tells YoungJoon about her pregnancy . It is difficult to watch both of them : JY because her voice is so soft - and she can barely raise her eyes to the level of YJ 's , and YJ's because he looks as if he has been struck by lightening . Indeed , he looks like he had already started on the road to getting sloshed before JY even left him . He didn't see this one coming , and he is devastated .
I have to say , I may not totally understand JY's decision , but I have to admire that she has stuck to her principles . She feels strongly about NOT having an abortion , and she had the decency to tell YJ about it . As her friend from the office advised ; She could have married him quickly ( short engagements seem the norm in these shows ) and THEN told him "Oops - I am pregnant " Such behavior would be unthinkable in JY , though . Ultimately , her qualities may attract JY even more ...but it is hard to know what will happen . I think JY is sorry , and misses YJ too . But she wouldn't flinch .
MJ and SM - is there a more smug and "entitled " couple out there ? I guess my attention drifted during the flower scene ...I was thinking HEY - I LOVE their couples suite - the design and the colors and the furniture !! Then I thought - IS MJ OLDER than SM ??? SM is JY's age (27-28 ) Is MJ YJ's age ( somewhere in the early to mid 30's ) Why did her Step mom call her "a little old "
I guess my attention will wander more during the MJ SM scenes ......
I KNEW that guy in the office liked MiRyung !! We find out his name is YongSik , and she tracks down TY through him . TY encourages YS to go for it , as he ( TY) doesn't see MR as a woman . I think we should refer YS for IMMEDIATE psychological testing !! BUT Someone is going to have to marry MR , and it may as well be him - we know TY won't !!!!
SunJoo is pining for TY . IS it harder for her than TY . TY is already used to not getting everything he wants ???
I am in for the long haul with this story !

Ok, this morning I watched #43.
I know the outcome of YH in general. But it's been so long since I watched this that I am surprised with every episode, as if it were the first time watching.. And ALL the episodes are great...
Ki Hoon (roomie) is off to work and notices his tennis shoes are covered in mud. He calls Dad on it and Dad gets very defensive, saying he did wear them once and calls KH STINGY... This man has so much nerve!! I like Dad less and less all the time. He is rude, inconsiderate and selfish. He thinks what belongs to Ki Hoon also belongs to him. Who does he think he is? What a major idiot... Life father like son.....
Ja Young is planning to go to Italy for work. She gets ill at her job and her co-worker, Joo Yun talks her into going to the Dr. Not sure what was said by Dr (didn't say) but Ja Young admits to Joo Yun that she wants to miscarry.
The very best scene yet in YH...... Min Joo and Young Joon are out having a drink (uh, she's not drinking alcohol but he sure is)... Young Joon is drunk. MJ tells Young Joon she is pregnant. MJ apparently called for Sang Min to join them so YJ would have a drinking buddy....
Young Joon asks Sang Min how he feels about becoming a father and of course, SM is thrilled. MJ tells YJ that SM is 'ecstatic' That must have been hard for Young Joon to hear, considering he knows how much Ja Young is suffering, being an unmarried pregnant woman..
I don't like Min Joo a lot but I think it is really unfair that she is unaware of what is going on. Sang Min should tell her.. It's his responsibility. If MJ were my sister (and I were Sun Joo) I would tell her. But no one is talking. It's not up to Ja Young or Young Joon to tell Min Joo anything.
Anyway, Min Joo goes to the restroom and IMMEDIATELY (and I mean right NOW), Young Joon slugs Sang Min in the face... Whoopie!!! Loved that... I bet he's been wanting to do that for some time.
It was priceless when Sang Min got up and said "Why did you do that" and Young Joon's response, "You seemed so happy that I got jealous"... LOL
Sang Min has the gall to tell Young Joon that he questions his character. Such a creep... Then SM asks YJ hasn't he ever broke up with a woman before. YJ says never in such a cowardly way..
Can't even discuss Mi Ryung. She's using that very cute/nice date to try to make TY jealous.
Hey, Ja Young is going to Italy and Young Joon tells his Granny that he's going to Japan... OMG they're both at the airport... in the same line!!!

I just finished 43 , and I am going to make some dinner before I continue to 44 . I am so enjoying this drama . There is always something going on , and I truly look forward to it !!
I used to think that KiHoon AKA roomie WAS stingy , but I think the straw that broke the camels back was when SM dad took his shoes . The guy is so clueless , he doesn't even pay attention to when he steps in the mud ! I almost was yelling at the TV " Go ahead and charge him !! " It is the only think he will understand !!
I have lost sympathy for Pops too - I don't like him because he keeps treating MJ the way he does . I am no fan of MJ either , but I don't like what Pops does to her . Plus , SM - is he to be believed ! He is so acting the part of a besotted newlywed , but I just can't believe it !!
I don't blame SunJoo for doing ANYTHING to get out of that house , but isn't there another way than a precipitous marriage where no feelings are involved ?? CAll me a hopeless romantic , but I continue to hold out hope that something will happen to stop that . It better be fast , though .
Yeah , I know everyone is against SJ and TaeYoung being together ( incl TY ) BUT TRUE LOVE CAN"T be denied .
I feel bad for Young Joon , but he better hire a full time driver and medical staff if he is going to keep this up . I wonder why he is running to Japan now ? He really needs to be able to talk to someone about this , but unfortunately he can't talk to Ja Young - and there is no one else unless he blew JY's cover . He would never do that , so here we are .
When he punched SM , I was almost yelling ' YOU GO YJ !! I am so glad he did that ...those 10 years he spent in the States sure rubbed off on him ...that is just what we all wanted to do - admit it !! 
This airport scenario seems interesting , but I think JY is taking a big risk going on such a long trip by herself . If she miscarries on the plane , couldn't her own health be in jeopardy too ???
I tell you , I better not pack any YH DVD's on vacation . I could see myself sneaking off to watch eps on my laptop wearing ear buds !! I am going to miss it though ....it is good to have this to look forward to when I get back ....
