My (step) dad married my mom, who had 3 little girls... we were young... I was 2 and had a younger sister (1) and an older sister (4). My mom and 'us girls' were blessed by having this man in our lives. He was so happy to have this ready made family. They added two more children and they had 53 years together.
I have so much respect for the man or woman who takes kids on and gives no thought as to 'who they belong to'. They are just kids who need parents/guidance...

Young Joon picked Ja Young up and they went to dinner. There she is again... DRINKING!!! At least it's just a glass of red wine this time.. After dinner YJ asks JY if she missed him or thought of him. YJ tells her he was shocked and hurt by finding out she was pregnant. He called her reckless (lol).. Then he said he was a man in love with a reckless woman.
He tells her he is not wishy washy and that he is not making a decision out of sentiment. He loves her. He said, "Let's marry".. JY says she feels the same... she is in no position to marry because of her circumstance. YJ tells her he will love her and will love her baby (he swears to God on this). JY is quite shocked by this. He tells her if she cares for him then she should do what he wants... 
Then my wonderful Young Joon tells Ja Young that 'Your baby is my baby". Then, "It's OUR baby from now on".. Ja Young can only say.... no, no..
When YJ takes her home he promised he will be a good dad. He wants to marry her SOON. She says why did they just meet now and that she should have met him sooner. YJ grabs her in a hug and tells her that it was destiny for them to meet NOW...
He kisses her forehead... (...sigh)
Young Joon again talks to his Granny. She still will not give in. Later the two Grannies talk and YJ Granny asked JY Granny if she understands how she feels.. JY Granny understands..
Min Joo and Sang Min go home but MJ still will not give up about the hair bands. She is now fixated with wanting Dad to marry.
Sun Joo's blind date comes for dinner and MJ, Mom and SM question him. During this, Sun Joo sits zombie like, not caring about anything. SJ walks date out and then she hails a cab and calls TY, telling him she is in a cab with no money and for him to meet her at their playground.
Mi Ryung's date finds out she is using him. I think he is too through with her silly a$$...
Addie: Have a great trip. We'll get back to YH on thurs the 17th...?

I could not leave without watching Yellow Handkerchief .
I was thinking about it earlier today at work . To me , that the sign of a really good drama - it is though provoking . I was thinking about the baby . SM is a scumbag , and JY made a huge mistake , and indeed wasted 10 years of her life in the bargain BUT the baby is innocent and has done nothing to deserve punishment or ostracism .
Maybe because JY has been betrayed so cruelly by SM , she doesn't trust her own feelings for Young Joon OR trust in him . He keeps asking for her trust - she is yet to fully give it . I feel SO bad for YJ because he has NOONE on his side - including JY .
I think he has a great idea - he wants to be the baby's father - and the baby certainly is going to need one . He wants to get married ASAP , and for those who want to count back the months - let them . It is not their business .
I guess we can't expect the grandma;s to go for this though - on the other hand , I would like to share something that my mother told me that my grandmother said . She died when I was 8 , so I didn't know her well . SHe told my mother ( who was her DIL ) "the first baby comes whenever it wants - the rest of them take 9 months "
Anyway , we know from JY 's statement about wishing she had met YJ sooner proves that she cares for him . I loved it when he grabbed her , hugged her and said : I won't tolerate anymore confusion .
YES , YJ - SOMEONE has to take charge of this situation .
Sigh . This is going to be complicated .
MiRyung is going to go through a few nice guys before she gets it . SHe is truly dense .
SunJoo - I find it hard to believe that she will be able to go through with that farce of a marriage if she can barely tolerate sitting next to him at dinner . I really feel for those two - SJ and TY . Their situation seems even more hopeless than YJ & JY . This will keep me on the edge of my seat for a while !
Well , I better sign off for now . I thank you for the "bon voyage " and hope you have a good week . I am taking the ibook = but am not sure about internet access .

Boy, you guys sure know how to kill a mood. I may not like MJ’s personality, but I thought she was a very attractive woman. Now I just think about her “waddling” on her webbed feet and shaking her “tail feather’. Not a very appealing thought.
There was one ep where she met with FIL in a red dress and long hair. I thought WOW! She looks great! It was a flashback, but I don’t remember her with her hair like that anywhere else in this drama. Just as well, it doesn’t fit with feathers.

O.K. you’re going to find out one of my fetishes; I loooove long hair on a woman. My wife suffered many a hot summer and many hours of maintenance because I would refuse to let her cut her hair. This was grounds for a divorce in my book. I still love long hair, but I’ve mellowed a bit in my old age. l won’t divorce my wife if her hair doesn’t drag on the floor, but I would prefer it. Anyway, when I saw Ja-Young with her hair down… I won’t mention what I thought ‘cause I think I can get arrested for that. Suffice to say that…….. Nah.. can’t do that. It is a “family rated” forum.

I just finished ep 47 , and I am sure I have not seen it before .
After the dinner with her date , SunJoo runs to TaeYoung and asks him to tell her not to get married . He agrees , and tells her that they will neither of them get married but go on as they are now .
IMHO , TY seems to give up and admit his feelings for SJ . They go off together on his motorcycle , and they share a first kiss . It is poignant , and somehow I know something has to work out for them !
Ja Young may not want to marry Young Joon , but she is not averse to spending a lot of time with him .Poor girl , how can she help but care for him ? And he is trying to sweep her off her feet . He wants to marry soon , so he "can tell the baby that HE is it's daddy " I hope he can wear her down .
SM and MJ can't draw a breath without running into SM's dad , and now that they are pregnant , dad thinks she should be drinking Koi fish extract , so he brings a live fish over . Bleech !!! I wouldn't blame MJ if she threw that fish at him .

Ok, I watched #47 & #48...
(first I had to re-watch most of #46 to remember where we left off) - Tae Young meets up with a very distraught Sun Joo. She can't bear the thought of being with someone else. Yet they both feel so helpless. They take off together and spend the night (in an elementary school??). They kiss and he holds her (she needed that). But he tells her it's useless. They promise to never marry someone else, and she gives him a ring of hers.
Yeah, Sun Joo's mom thinks SJ was out with the date.
Question: why is SJ even dating this guy when she has made a promise not to marry. Wouldn't she just hang out at home and sneak to see TY whenever she can? Why did she go with that guy and even agree to meet his parents if she was the one who wanted the promise not to marry??
Next day SJ has a date with that guy Tae Young is near her house and follows her. When the date is over Sun Joo gets up to leave and sees TY looking at her.
Sang Min's dad brought that LIVE fish over and wanted Min Joo to drink the boiled aftermath... BARF
I think Min Joo is rude to Sang Min's dad. She doesn't even want to make any attempt to have a relationship with him. If he doesn't behave the way she thinks he should then she wants nothing to do with him....
However, Sang Min's dad is sooooo intrusive into Min Joo's life/pregnancy. He could care less if he shows up without calling or realizes how PUSHY he is. He thinks she should be touched by his concern for her pregnancy and should drink the fish juice ... YUCK
Young Joo's granny calls to meet Ja Young during lunch (why does no one meet after work?). Young Joon granny basically says abort the baby and she will accept JY; keep the baby and break it off with YJ. Ja Young agrees with her and promises not to marry Young Joo
YJ's Granny asks JY if she likes YJ (I guess JY was too quick to agree not to marry him??) JY tells Granny YES she likes (loves) him but he's too good for her. Granny wants to know what she will do if YJ won't give up on her. JY says he will, in time.
Sorry Ja Young.... Young Joon CAN'T give up as long as you continue to be with him.
I think Ja Young is very conflicted. She loves Young Joon and wants to be with him so she continues to see him. Yet, she is determined to not marry him. Doesn't she realize she is making it harder on him? I feel sorry for her and for him.
Young Joon calls JY. He doesn't get an answer so he calls Joo Yun (co-wrkr) who tells him JY is meeting his granny. I think he rushes right over because he catches JY before she gets back to work. He asked if granny hurt her feelings.. She said, "No, she had every right to say what she did".. YJ tells her not to be hurt and JY tells him, "I told her I won't marry you". JY tells him she has to try not to see him. TRY...
Young Joon (in his perfection) tells her that two halves meet and marry. One half is not absorbed by the other half. He told her she will still be Ja Young by his side. He hugs her and she looks almost relieved that he did. They are right out in the day light, on the busy sidewalk and she is letting him hug her...
Oh, the best..... Min Joo is so upset over dad on his way over to make sure she is drinking the fish crap for lunch that she runs off. She has no friends except Young Joon. But Min Joo needed a girlfriend to talk to so she called Ja Young out. (Ja Young doesn't get much work done)..
Min Joo tells JY some of what dad is doing. JY was surprised she didn't like her FIL. Min Joo tells JY she has no friends but wonders why JY doesn't want to be friends with her. JY says she doesn't make friends easily. Then MJ stars asking JY about her past boyfriend. Were you ever in love.... JY answers yes but explains that he met another woman with better conditions. MJ wants to know if JY hates her ex.. JY says she used to want revenge. JY doesn't want to talk about her past anymore.
Young Joon calls Ja Young and says he wants to hear her say she loves him ... she tells him she already did (did I miss it??). YJ is getting afraid because his granny is so opposed to him and JY. He knows Ja Young will obey his granny... So he tells JY that he won't rush the marriage.... so sad..
Sang Min finds out Min Joo disappeared and is with Ja Young!! What does this creepy jerk do? He calls Ja Young!! Poor Ja Young is gonna have to hear it from Sang Min again...
I swear, if I were Ja Young ... and Sang Min called me like that, I'd say, "hold on" and hand the phone to Min Joo...!!! bet his stupid creepy A$$ would never call me again... lol
