Ok, episodes #53 & 54 (we sure are moving quickly)..
Sang Min comes to the school where Sun Joo and Tae Young are. He immediately walks up to TY and slaps him. WHY did TY only stand there and hang his head? What did he do wrong? I wanted him to hit SM back.. SJ was mad and yells at SM. She goes w/SM but tells him she's going because of TY, not because SM is there to take her back.
When TY goes home, Ja Young realizes how much Sun Joo means to him and tells him to hang on to her if he loves her. But TY says he can't give to SJ what she is accustomed to.
When SJ goes home it's a different story.. Min Joo slaps her. How dare she tarnish our family name! SJ questions the 'importance' of their family so MJ says SJ tarnished the groom's family.. I guess that's true. Also, MJ says no one forced SJ into a marriage... also true.
Then dictator Min Joo takes away SJ's phone and car keys and forbids her from leaving the house. Was funny that later MJ tells SM that SJ is an educated adult. So why is she controlling this 'educated adult'.. I'm sick of Min Joo acting like everyone has to obey her orders..
Young Joon tells Ja Young he is already making arrangements for them to go to America. This throws JY off and she tells him she hasn't made up her mind yet. What is she waiting for? I suppose it's her 'guilt' again.. she doesn't want to leave without approval from YJ's granny.
Then, as if there aren't enough problems in YH Land, Young Joon's ex girlfriend shows up!!! YJ meets with her (Hyun Ji) and tries to be polite but he is very concerned as to why she is here, considering all her family is in America. She tells him she wants to start over with him.
HJ goes to YJ's granny (with a gift) and lets her know also that she is there to get her man back. Granny thinks this is the answer to all their problems... YJ can marry HJ and it solves the YJ/JY problem... Granny tells HJ that Ja Young is not marriage material..
Later Young Joon tells granny there is no reason for Hyun Ji to come to their house. Granny talks marriage for YJ and HJ. YJ tells her he loves Ja Young and that is who he will marry!!
SM dad tries to call MJ (he is still trying to make up for seeing JY). MJ sees it's him calling and just hangs up. She is really getting to be a B.... But I had to laugh when dad refers to MJ as an old hag. But then later dad buys eels and takes them to MJ's house, where they escape and are wiggling around on the kitchen floor. This guy is really too much..
What could get worse? Well, Tae Young goes out drinking and Mi Ryung goes to him. She takes him to a motel and she takes her pants off and lets TY believe they 'did'.... She's smiling about it. I will never ever like this irritating little bug of a girl...
Poor TY believes he 'did' and is willing to take responsibility..

I am sorry nsheldon I fell behind in my YH viewing because of work schedules . I wanted to be sure to catch up before tomorrow when we will watch 2 more eps .
I am so glad that I am getting to watch this classic drama . Though it is different than any other daily that I have seen ( and I do not like to compare them anyway ) , I am really enjoying the story , character development and acting . I look forward to each ep , and the action keeps me on the edge of my seat . Thanks to the dvd technology , I can see it myself , and not just hear about it .
I am also greatful that nsheldon and others are watching it with me . As much as I like kdrama , I enjoy it much more when I watch it with somebody .
I watched only ep 53 , and will comment before going on to 54 . I do not like SM , and everyone knows it . I do not think he had the right to hit TaeYoung , but as long as he had an excuse too , he did . TY did NOT have to call him , and that is the thanks he gets . SunJoo has learned what a lot of us know already . Everything is easy in the abstract . While it may seem possible to marry someone you don't love , It is IMPOSSIBLE for someone like SunJoo . She feels too much . As much of a mess that this situation is , the best thing to come out of it , IMHO , is that the other side cancelled it . There is no danger that this will be a problem in future .
I was proud of Ja Young asking TY if his heart was breaking - and giving him her blessing . She know it will be difficult , but she encourages him to go for it . As she struggles for her own blessing to be with YoungJoon , she can see where TY and SJ are at .
I though it was interesting how JY and SJ used the same line " no one can know what the future will
bring ". Strangely , they are in the same boat . TY is going to have to get over his lack of material goods .
SJ doesn't have any more anyway =MJ has taken them away . How can you ground a 24 yr old ?
I am falling more for YJ every day . I believe they will go away if Gram doesn't cave . Don't you think it is interesting that Gram is blaming YJ for the loss of her friend ? My take on the sitch is - if Gram gave her blessing , they would all be one happy extended family !!!
YJ has also taken care of MJ by telling her he doesn't want JY to see anyone . I don't believe him for a minute , but he coolly get JY off the hook . The man can do no wrong .
I so don't believe that the appearance of his ex in Soeul means anything - but that is the cliff hanger !!!!

I think ep 55 is about making other characters miserable :
MiRyung's parents have created a monster She is seeing her parents on the verge of collapse , yet she doesn't blink . TaeYoung will probably become an alcoholic if this keeps up , but I guess being a young widow wouldn't bother her .
SM's dad is now miserable because MJ finally told him she can't abide any of his foul fishy concoctions , and though he would like to prove his devotion to her , I am afraid that ship has sailed .
Young Joon;s gram is becoming a broken record . I wish she could see that the very situation she is trying to avoid will come to a head all the sooner because of her actions . If I could set her down to present the case , I would say gram :
FACT : JY and YJ love each other .
FACT : They ARE going to be together .
FACT : JY is pregnant , and they are going to raise this child together .
The fact that she is delaying their wedding , subverting their trip overseas is not going to stop them from marrying , but will bring to a head the mess that YJ & JY are trying to avoid .
MiJoo is making SunJoo miserable , and she has goaded her too far . Now the ugly truth about SM and his hx with TY 's family is coming out . This is not going to be pretty .
