Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
I was also shocked by Min Joo telling step mom how she never liked her but was glad she was by her side. If you are glad she's been there for you then show some appreciation for what step mom has done all these years.
I've noticed that stepmom is right there to greet MJ when she comes home. She always treats MJ with respect, concern and as if MJ was queen of the world. SJ is her daughter and she treats her as if SJ was incapable of making a decision on her own. I get so tired of both stepmom and MJ for how they treat SJ.
I think MR is settling in very well with Tae Young's family. She works hard and does love her husband. But it still hurts my heart when they play that dang music (you know, the TY/SJ music).. How sad.
Young Joon... If I didn't know how sincere and pure his love was for Ja Young, and know that she loves him as well, I'd call him a stalker!! LOL (but it sure hurts to watch him suffering and trying so desperately to find her).
JY was wrong to leave him. If she would have married YJ quickly, they could have easily passed the baby off as his. No one would have suspected. Granny would have accepted her by now.
Hyun Ji... I cannot believe she is so stupid as to tell YJ that she will not let him go. Since when is he hers to let go of or hang on to?
I think HJ is really an honest person though, because she really had an opportunity to spend the night with YJ. He already thought she was JY so she could have taken advantage of him.. but she didn't. She's completely misguided if she thinks she has any say about who he is with and she must not realize the depths of YJ's love for JY... If JY died YJ would still never be with HJ again.
When Na Young snooped and found that ph# and called YJ I was just too happy. TY, NY, and co-worker are all supporting YJ so he's not totally alone...

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
A lot going on in ep (86 ?) Who can remember the ## ?
There is a saying in French " Plus ca change , plus ca le meme chose " This is the famous " the more things change , the more they stay the same "
Just when I think MuRyung has changed , there she goes to her mom's house ,lies to her and steals food out of the fridge again . I am disgusted by her immaturity , I just can't be amused by her .
I guess TaeYoung has resigned himself to his fate , he seems to be ok with all this . I would have thought he would be ready to jump by now . At least SunJoo and he seemed comfortable in each other's
company , and she even spoke of "When she got married ".
HyunJi and Granny are like a pair of broken records . They can live together for all I care , but I am believing that the chances of Young Joon going back there are slim and none . They should get over themselves - at least granny should . I have said that YJ is NOT 5 years old even though she is treating him that way .
I am also losing respect for JaYoung - as sorry as I am to say that . She can already see that
a) her plan is not working
b) YJ is suffering
c) she has got to QUIT hiding and crying all the time . It is time she comes out and faces him like an adult . This is between the 2 of them , and in case JY missed it - it doesn't even have anything to do with either of their grandparents .
I can see why the halmonie would cover for JY on the phone , but I don't think it is right that she is now lying to YJ to his face . It is not like he is threatening her . You could say he is stalking her , but he is sick with worry after she disappeared . This childish plan WILL NOT work .
I don't exactly know what will - but JY is going to have to stand up and looking YJ in the eye and say " We can't be together "
That isn't going to work either - because she made it clear that she loves YJ - and that last fantasy day made it worse - especially for YJ . NO . The only way I can see is for the 2 of them to stand together and let the devil take the hindmost . They should have done that a long time ago .
Now that SM is hurt , he is looking more humanoid and MinJoo is starting to look as petrified as her hairdo . She is scarier than ever - and not really worth the board space .
back after the next ep

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
I remember watching an old movie in which - I think it was Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye - Bing is facing two people who have really messed up , and he says to Danny Kaye " I 'd like to slap you - then to the other person = and you - and back to DK - and YOU AGAIN !!!
That is how I feel right now about HyunJI and Granny . Except this time Granny would get 2 slaps while Hyun JI would get one . I think it was utterly outrageous that granny would go to YoungJoon's apartment and take all his clothes . The days of those tactics are SO OVER . It is s good thing that YJ has a good income . He can replace his wardrobe , but it just takes so much time . Perhaps that is why he stoped with underwear - LOL .
HyunJi wants to distance herself from Granny's actions , but it is IMHO that her presence Granny to do a lot of the things she does . If Granny had all day by herself to think about the situation , she may come to her senses a little earlier . As it is now , I think they are both delusional OR smoking those funny cigarettes .
How either one of them can think YJ is going to come around , let alone get back together with Hyun JI needs an instant head examination .
I just don't think TaeYoung and MiRyung are going to have a happy marriage . The honeymoon is already over , and I think it is going to become apathy ville - at least for TY before too long . Her behavior is just too too much , and her parents did her ( and the rest of the world ) a great dis service .
MR is just TOO MUCH work . even for gram .
FINALLY _ the voice of reason from the Halmonie with the house " Life is too short - why can't you be with someone who loves you so much ???"
Now that YJ has finally come across JY - WIll he be angry ????????
I couldn't blame him if he were - he has been lied to , and not trusted by JY > THAT is pretty bad .
I don't want to even comment on MJ . Whatever happens to her - she has earned every turn of the karmic wheel . It is beyond belief that she wants a divorce after 3 months or so of marriage . After what she went through to get him . I still say they deserve each other .

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
Ep 89 is a very sad and shocking episode to me - I just can't understand why Ja YOung is so hell bent to deny her feelings . When she describes her present situation as being free from pain and happiness ,
I could not help but think that that is a description of death .
I asked myself if she were suicidal , and I am not sure . But she is at the end of her rope .......while I can see that , I am still limited in my sympathy for her . I still think she may be lying , even if her motives are pure . I just don't believe that she has the right to make decisions that affect both of them so much .
It is supposed to be TWO people in the relationship . At this point in the story , I have to say that the only one who has been honest - the whole time and about everything - is YOUNG JOON . He just doesn't deserve all this . JY should have let him know before she left . She isn't even showing him the respect of ending this relationship in an adult manner . That is what I object to . Ja Young has the right to do
whatever - but she is doing to Young Joon is WRONG .
As far as MiJoo goes - WAAH < WAAH . This all happened before she met SM , so let the buyer beware .
Isn't it funny that the first thing she could think of to do was to call JY . WHy can't she leave her alone ??
What could she possibly tell her ? I liked YJ's response the best "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS "
There again , he is the only mature person in all this . I love the way he told off MJ .....and I knew that HJ would be the person to talk .
No matter what JY does , I don't see YJ being as close to Granny again - this whole thing would leave a bad taste in his mouth , I would think . And - the first condition would be to make sure HJ leaves .She is like a leech .
I am almost afraid to move on to the next episode .......

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
I came on here very angry too , but after reading nsheldon's post , I had to laugh - , and immediately felt better .
Yes , SJ's new manager is cute , but I am purposely avoiding comment on MiRyung . Don't get me started on her !!!!!.
Any Hoo , when I came on here , I turned the dvd player off for the first time with out reluctance .There is a lot to get my head around and I almost do not know where to start .
SO , I will . HMM , Ja Young denying her feelings is making her sick . I get that , but I don't know what I can do about it . She has every opportunity to have a happy life , and stubbornly refused to take it . I start to lose empathy when that happens - because JY is a person that no one can help . SHe makes unilateral decisions , so she has to reap the consequences . That statement does not make me happy .
As far as MiJoo goes , I will never understand her , so I give up trying . I will just sit back and watch this thing . I sure am enjoying it , but my track record at picking happy couples in this is 0/0 . I think SM is happy but I am not sure . The only thing I am even more unsure of is what side he hurt . When MJ was helping him in one scene , it was one way - and in the next scene it was the other .LOL
I felt so bad for YJ when he woke up as if in a nightmare in his granny's house , and there was HJ hovering over him . That was nothing to the coming attractions though , I almost had a heart attack
TELL ME I DID NOT SEE YOUNG JOON PUTTING A RING ON HYUNJI'S FINGER .

Re: K-Drama: 노란손수건 (Yellow Handkerchief)
Ep 91
Apparently Young Joon went once again to see Ja Young. He can't believe that she means business when she says she wants to break up with him. He's just there to confirm. He's heartbroken and gets drunk again. When he gets home he informs Granny that Ja Young and him have broken up so she can be happy now. He grabs his coat and briefcase from Hyun Ji and goes upstairs and cries..
It was so sad when YJ told JY he wanted to be the first to welcome the baby into the world... (sniff sniff)
Sang Min, Min Joo are back together. For what it's worth, them getting together is good for Sun Joo because her and MJ seem to have a much better relationship.
Hyun Ji meets with Min Joo and I had to stop and think... Here are these two women and Ja Young is very much a big part of both their lives.. Ja Young is pregnant with Min Joo's husband's baby and Ja Young is in love with Hyun Ji's 'man' ...
Tae Young is walking home from work one night and sees a commercial on a store TV with Sun Joo. He smiles and I think he is very proud of her.
Then suddenly there is Hyun Ji trying on dresses for the engagement party... Her and Granny finally wore down Young Joon... I think it was more that YJ just didn't have any joy in life and doesn't care if he's with HJ or single. Without JY, he has no life...
I haven't watched 92 yet but OMG, YJ is back in the country just as JY is going into labor.... Is he gonna be first to welcome baby after all??? This is soooooo good....
Ep #92
What is Hyun Ji thinking? Is she even thinking? I'm trying really hard to understand her. She's engaged now to Young Joon. Does she think that Young Joon loved her once so he can love her again? She is so determined to have him, no matter what, that she doesn't even see that he is like the walking dead?
Min Joo attended the engagement party and went to tell Sang Min about it. She ends up (where she always ends up... ) talking about Ja Young and why hasn't SM asked about her. He (I can't stand HIM) actually says, "We've been through difficult times because of HER (JY)" and he says he never wants to ask about her again. YOU JERK!!
Ki Hoon and Na Young finally make up. She calls him and he first behaves snotty towards her. But after seeing she did a good job in her classes he couldn't help but hug her to show how proud he was of her.
Sang Min and Min Joo take Dad out for dinner and tell him their plans to adopt. He's for it. GOOD!!!
Made me sick to see Young Joon and Hyun Ji out together. She tells him she wants to quit working and just concentrate on being his wife. He tells her to go to the States and he will come visit and that she should re-think quitting. They come home and she kisses him on his lips (I'm sure he wanted to gag)
Later Young Joon notices a pregnant woman and that gets him thinking.... I guess he couldn't take it and ends up going to where Ja Young is. I don't think he was going to try to see her. I think he just wanted to be outside the house where she was. But when he looks up he sees that Granny trying to help JY, who is in labor. She is having a hard time so it's a good thing he was there. He had to carry her to his car.. and off to the hospital...
Previews show him at the hospital with her. I am SOOO glad that YJ is there for the first day of JY's baby's life..
