Rebirth
Very interesting. I'm definitely interested in checking this one out.
But how do us US buyers buy this? It's my understanding that global YesAsia doesn't ship to the US. Any word on a US release?

Tangpriest, this is a must see and have! Resurrection's writer, alongside the writer for Letters to the Parents won an award in the Writer's category at the 2005 KBS Drama Awards.Wow, "creidesca" thanks for the awesome info from twitchfilm.net and giving me more insight on Resurrection's writer. Had no idea it's the same writer for Letters to the Parents. I loved LTTP, especially for its dialogue - makes total sense! I'm so glad now knowing that this gifted writer won this well-deserved award.you misinterpreted what I had written. The writer for Resurrection, as well as the writer for Letters to the Parents, were honoured with the same award at the 2005 KBS Drama Awards
oops... well, then, I'm glad both got their awards! ;)

Any word on a US release?Go back to Page 1 on this message board and see the very first post from creidesca, the head admin for this board. Creidesca provides you very helpful information and links to K-dramas. Click into the 3rd link and you will see that Resurrection/Rebirth can be purchased and shipped to the U.S. because it is now Region Code free. The DVD set is expensive, but it includes bonus extras and the K-drama itself is well-worth to watch!!
THANKS CREIDESCA for all those quick links!!

K-dramas on DVD with ENG subs *updated 12/20/2005*
Thanks for clarifying that. What threw me off was I was told in the General Korean discussion here, in the General thread when I was inquiring about Super Rookie was that Yes Asia didn't allow orders placed from the US with some/most of their Global YA orders. Hence my confusion here.

Resurrection a.k.a. Revenge - US Version (DVD All)
Well, I spoke too soon. I tried to purchase the Revenge DVD set following the process I have mentioned above. I thought it would be no problem ordering from YesAsia Global since they were offering Revenge as "DVD All" - Region Code 1: USA, Canda, U.S. Territories.
As I was filling in my shipping information, then I got stumped on Country. There wasn't United States available and then alongside the box of choices there is a link to "U.S. or Canada?" I then okayed for YesAsia Global to transfer my order over to YesAsia North America. Nope, didn't work. So I guess I can't purchase Revenge for now. I just gotta wait.
GL05: Sorry. I have ordered from YesAsia before and knew about the region codes and always made sure I ordered the US versions as "DVD All," but I really had no idea that there was YesAsia Global and YesAsia North America. Hmmm... sorry for the mislead.

K-dramas on DVD with ENG subs *updated 12/20/2005*
No problem. I guess we should email/call YA to see when they'll make it available here?
I really don't understand this YA policy. I think it has to do with licensing issues, either way, it's really annoying to deal with. There's a bunch of stuff I want on the Global Yes Asia site, but it's not available for us US customers.

For example, I have been waiting for "The Second Proposal" to be available for us U.S. customers! I had seen it when it first aired on my WKTV (Washington Korean Televison) cable channel early last year. I loved it so much that I wanted to buy the DVD set and let my mom borrow it since she missed it on TV. I really want more of the modern stuff available for YesAsia.com North America.
They have "My Lovely Sam-Soon" a.k.a. "My Name is Kim Sam-Soon" available. A huge hit from 2005. But so were "The Second Proposal," "Sassy Girl," and "Resurrection" a.k.a. "Rebirth." Maybe it's hard for them to polish up the subtitles and awesome soundtracks??
Please let me know if you end up contacting YesAsia.com and finding out further details. Thanks!
