K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)
Good Morning BD,
Yonsoo is very much in Minchul's mind more often than not these days and I think he has noticed Sunjae in her presence more than he cares for.
Since Minji mentions to him that she thinks Sunjae likes Yonsoo and though he had no comment, you can be darn sure he doesn't like it and he will keep an eye out. He doesn't look happy is right.
Yonsoo may well become the competition between the brothers.
I loved the mirror scene with Sena and Narae, it was so funny and cute. Practicing to become a star!
When Sunjae and Sena were talking about the orphanage and she hits her chest telling him SHE was the little girl, she was so cute here, it was like she was really proud! LOL
A big mistake Sunjae made with Sena is letting her think that the gift Yonso bought her is from him. I mean he hands it to her, what else is she to think?
Why in the world Yonsoo keeps it a secret that she was badly injured in a car accident that day is beyond me. But like smoochie says, then there would be no story.
I loved the scene when Yonsoo was sketching Minchul too. The closeness. The staring. The quiet. The concentration. He's sitting still for her to work but he's studying her face too.
CJW plays such interesting characters doesn't she? And it seems she's a very good artist. LOL
In a drama with KSW, she sits across the desk from him sketching fashions at his immediate request. He sits with a newspaper in front of his face and he slowly slides it over uncovering one eye so he could look at her. Newspaper goes back in front of his face then he slowly uncovers his other eye. Then he lowers the newspaper a bit to look at her some more, then covers his face again. On and on he does this. LOL Lucky girl.
Nice scene of Minji, Minchul and Yonsoo having dinner together. Minji's made her first paycheck and Minchul is very surprised. He immediately looks at Yonsoo. Did you all notice the sheer happiness and surprise on his face when his little sister handed him her gift? It's all thanks to Yonsoo.
I think Sena had better step it up a notch so Minchul can work his magic on her now. What an interesting situation, it's like they traded sisters.
I like the pictures smoochie, it's interesting to see them at such a young age. I read somewhere CJW was ready to get married but it's just a comment she made.
I know she is cast to star in another drama. She's one busy actress.
I'll be back.

Re: K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)
Good Morning BD Family
While Sun Jae is having a great time with Yon Soo, Sena is sitting on his bike until its dark outside. I don't know when she finally gave up and went home, but I felt badly for her. Narae got her favorite food and she couldn't eat, she was upset about not being able to reach him and his not returning her calls. I wonder how Yon Soo would like knowing that Sena was miserable over Sun Jae, while she was having fun with him. Finally he calls Sena and they set up a date for the next day.
Victory has set up a plan to find Zero. They're sponsoring a surgery for a little girl with the promise that Zero will show up at the hospital to visit her and support her. He has a stipulation, no press and nobody from Victory. They promise, but I think its an empty promise.
Sun Jae gives Sena the MP3 player and leaves out the fact that its from Yon Soo. Sena's very happy with the gift. She talks about Zero with Sun Jae. She's a little sad that he's going to surface, because she feels a special attachment to him. She feels his going public will end that personal relationship. Even if its only in her head, which I think it is. Do you think that once Sun Jae met Sena, he knows she's the girl emailing Zero? I wonder.
Sun Jae goes home and finds that he and Yon Soo are the only ones home. They talk a little and then he decides to make dinner for them. Kimchee rice and a fried egg. They prepare the meal together and enjoy doing it. Sun Jae tells Yon Soo that the proper way to eat this dish is to sit on the floor and they do. He thinks up a game. Each win gets a spoonful. This guy is full of fun ideas, right?? Anyway, Yon Soo keeps losing, so she hasn't had any food yet. They're laughing and having a good time. Sun Jae wants to be a nice guy and tries to spoon feed her, because she keeps losing and hasn't eaten yet.
Min Chul comes home and hears the sound of laughter and follows it. He's just in time to see Sun Jae holding the spoon close to Yon Soo's mouth, trying to get her to eat. The look on his face says it all. He looks a little stunned. And not happy at all. Yon Soo turns and sees him standing there. She knows immediately that he's upset. She calls his name and looks a little like she was caught doing something wrong. I don't know if she thought it was wrong, or she's reacting to the look on his face. Either way, she got the message. Whatever! That game was over.
When he gets to his room he takes the portrait of him that she drew and looks at it for a while. You can see he's visibly upset by what he's just seen. If he's jealous, he needs to step up to the plate and let her know how he feels about her. I think HE doesn't know how he feels about her and is just as surprised as anyone. I don't think he expected to react so strongly to what he just saw. I think too, that he's not ready to let anyone enter his life right now. He told his father that he's not prepared to take the care of a woman into his hands. Maybe he spoke too soon. Maybe it depends on which woman.
As he's looking confused about how he feels, his phone rings, its a call telling him that Zero is going to show up at the hospital. This gets him on his feet and out of the house. Next we see Sun Jae leaving as well. Both times Myungja was there to see them off, but she acted differently to each guy. To Min Chul it was a passing question, "oh, you're going out?", with Sun Jae it was, "why are you going out so late?". Which of these are her real son??
Myungja gets a flower delivery with a card that congratulated Lee Young Jun for 26 years of marriage?? Was that what it meant, or was he dead 26 years?? Somebody help me out with this. Were they only married one year when he was killed?? Myungja was horrified!
We see Min Chul waiting in the dark at the hospital hoping to see Zero. We see someone coming down the corridor. Is it Zero? We see Mimi sitting in her car outside of their home. This is how 6 ended. Important doings coming up in 7.
I don't know if its me or not, but is it appropriate for a woman to spend so much time with a man she's not romanically interested in?? I think that if Yon Soo wants Sun Jae to be nice to Sena, she needs to draw clear lines of conduct between them. Maybe she hasn't gotten the vibe yet, that he's interested in her. If she cares about Sena and we know she does, I think she should be upfront with him and put an immediate end to his having any idea of any, and all kinds of, hanky panky between them.
Well, what do you think? Cute, right?
I'm at work. Gotta go.

Re: K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)
Anyeong Hasaeyo! Good morning BDF
At this point, Minchul thinks that Yonsoo is his and his alone. He thinks that Yonsoo would never look, much more get close, to any other male besides him. He has trust issues with women as he learned the lesson from Myungja and his father. So when he behold of the kitchen scenario between Sunjae and Yonsoo, his belief that women cannot be trusted jolted him back to reality. How to deal with this and the search for Zero is giving him pain and frustration.
Sunjae, on the other hand, is in heaven right now. He is very comfortable, enjoying Yonsoo's company. He couldn't ask for anything more and for a while, home is very nice and warm for him. If he could only avoid the Zero matter..............
Yonsoo doesn't feel anything for Sunjae except as a friend and a younger brother of Minchul. In her mind, Sunjae is a blessing to Sena, someone who could make her happy and keep focused on her singing career. She is oblivious of the yearning stares, the wide smiles of Sunjae whenever they're together. All she can think of is Minchul. She steals glances at him at work, think only of him on her ride home and feeling insecure everytime he looks at her with those piercing eyes.
Smoochie: CJW's greatest asset is her eyes. Even when she was little, her eyes standout. Minchul's distinctive feature is his lips. Nobody has lips like that.
Shall we proceed to episode 7 next week?

Re: K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)
Hello BD Family
I'm ready for 7 whenever you guys are. I I think of anything else I want to say on 6, I can say it this weekend. No problem with moving on.
Ji Woo was pretty even as a little girl. She does have sparkling, expressive eyes, doesn't she? I like her in everything she's in. She cries good too. I read that she was the cause of LBH's breakup. I can believe that. They've worked together a lot, so who knows? They obviously have chemistry.
The best part of LBH physically? Hmmmm........ I'd have to say its his eyes and mouth. Its not so much that his eyes are particularly pretty, but his look and expression are what does it for me. His piercing gaze. His smile is a knockout!! The best part of LBH other than the physical, to me has to be his attitude and confidence. Its what grabs me everytime. It shows in a physical aspect in the way he carries himself. So self-assured. I like that in a man, very much and in him especially. That's the first thing that caught my attention the first time I ever saw him. He just oozes self-confidence and I find that very sexy.
This picture, to me, epitomizes the looks I'm talking about. The body language says it all. He's something else and he knows it.
I could look at this guy all day. But, I do have to earn a living.

K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)
Jonsoo is really quite innocent in how she responds to Sunjae when he's alone with her. I do think though a little bell should have gone off in her head when he wanted to spoon feed her in the kitchen. Even I know that's an intimate gesture towards someone of the opposite sex. I think she shyed away from him though, didn't she? I see that act as a big wake up call for her. Minchul saw it. That's why he was not smiling.
And as for Jonsoo, I think she felt guilty when she saw Minchul watching her and Sunjae on the floor, him trying to feed her. When I really think about it, Sunjae has some nerve but I guess you can't blame the guy for trying.
Hey smoochie, Minchul will step up to the plate very soon, remember how Suky finally took matters into his own hands? Well Minchul will do the same!
If only the beach could talk!
That flower delivery for Myungja is from Mimi I believe because she's sitting right outside. My guess is it's a dig at Myungja for marrying Sunchun.
Besides Young Jun being Mimi's manager, they were most likely close friends. Young Jun in effect died for Mimi when he fought for her reputation with Sunchun but I don't know if she knows that.
She's letting Myungja know that "someone" in Myungja and Young Jun's past knows what anniversary they SHOULD be celebrating now, and it must be an old friend of Young Jun's because he's the one congratulated.
This "friend" had expected Young Jun and Myungja to still be married and why not? Not everyone gets murdered. Wouldn't this friend know he died too? Sure he or she would.
Here in this house where the flowers were delivered is Young Jun's wife living with his competitor and enemy, Sunchun.
And make no mistake about it, he's Mimi's enemy too.
Mimi knows perfectly well that Lee Young Jun is dead. She also knows Sunchun framed her and maybe she even knows that Young Jun went to confront Sunchun and ended up dead.
Mimi wants to torment now. Get back at them. Maybe she just now located them for the first time in all these years. She knows what a dishonorable man Sunchun is and Myungja marries him anyway. Maybe she even knows he killed Young Jun, I don't know.
Yes, let's continue onto episode 7 next week, okay with you smoochie?

Re: K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)
Hello again
You're right about the little bell that has not yet rung for Yon Soo. When do you think this will happen? I agree with emceema about her seeing Sun Jae as being the younger brother. She thinks its just spending time innocently with the guy Sena's interested in. Yet she's never really asked him how he feels about Sena. That may be a surprise for her.
I think she has Min Chul on the brain too. It has to be mysterious and thrilling, because there are only snippets of conversation and touching and stolen glances between them so far, but all very meaningful to both of them. Being caught on the kitchen floor, being spoonfed by Sun Jae is a major no-no and I think Yoo Son has figured that out by the shocked, hurt look in Min Chul's eyes. While she and Min Chul are still in the teasing and titillating stage, it may not be appropriate for her to be seen in that position with another man. It could upset the whole balance of their little flirtatious game and what ever's on the horizon for them.
Min Chul seeing her that way could take away his fascination with her. He sees her as very special and he doesn't want to see her like every other girl he knows. She needs to be careful not to lose her allure. She doesn't know enough about him to know what would be a deal breaker for him. He's no longer playing with her and I think his reaction to that incident proved it to her. He is a man who'd simply walk away from something like that rather than make a scene, but I think he also expects a woman to know what's proper if she wants to be his woman.
Sun Jae saw it too, but I'm sure he couldn't care less. Do you think it told him something about the way Min Chul thinks about Yon Soo?? I'd love to know what ensued once Min Chul left the kitchen. Did they keep playing? I have a feeling he put a damper on that little game.
I'm ready for 7 whenever the rest of you are. I'll finish anything I want to say this weekend and I may have nothing to say, though I can't imagine that, can you?? I'm really liking this drama. Its not a piece of fluff with yet another evil MIL. It acually makes me think.
One more question. Do you think Yon Soo became comfortable in that house very quickly?? Its not the nicest place to live, with everybody at odds and yet she seems to be fine with that. What do you think?? Am I too rigid??

K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)
You described Minchul to perfection smoochie in your last paragraph about him. You have him all figured out and I agree.
Yonsoo does look comfortable in the house and she's settled in but mostly we see her upstairs in the hallway, bedroom hopping. What the heck, it's like a dorm!
What goes on at the dinner table? Is there even a dinner table? Do they eat fruit together in the evening? Does Jonsoo do the dishes for Myungja? Is Sunchun nice to her at home, do they talk?
Ahhh, so many questions and there isn't enough time to watch those kind of scenes. This isn't a long daily drama.
My take is that when Jonsoo comes home, she hightails it straight up to her room like Minji and Minchul. She knows the family routine. If she's hungry, she goes to the kitchen to make herself something to eat and offers some to whoever is around, like Sunjae.
More often then not, Minchul and Minji eats out. Sometimes Minji goes to the kitchen to get her own snack. I could never see Minji eating a meal that Myungja cooked. Nooo!
No set dinnertime in this house. No TV either. It's almost like a rooming house.
Myungja lost control a long time ago.
I'd love to know what it is everyone eats when they mix everything together and eat it cold without heating it up in a plastic container, the leftovers. What does it consist of?
And what is it that I see them eating in a lot of the dramas that looks like extra large Ziti pasta (I know it's not pasta) and is covered in a red sauce?
Emceema, do you know what it is? Everyone seems to eat this. I thought I heard a mention in another drama that it was rice cakes. That can't be, can it?
Gotta go, I'm getting hungry...
