Thanks for that scene emceema and the summary smoochie. I feel exactly like you do smoochie about Sunjae ringing Yonsoo while she was with Minchul in the office.
What was that all about? He's like a little sneak spying on one girl while he leaves another girl who he continues to lead on alone at her own little birthday celebration waiting for him.
I hate Sunjae now too, he was inching his way up on my hate monitor right along but he's at the top now. He's creepy because Yonsoo doesn't like him like that. He's become her stalker.
Why would Sunjae call her cell phone when she willinly went into Minchul's office and he sees her kneeling in front of a lying down Minchul in a very private moment between the two of them in the semi dark? Can't he see that Yonsoo went to him? He can see that Minchul was lying down so he couldn't have pulled her over to him. He can see the intimacy between them. So what doesn't he get clear here?
Could Sunjae hear what they were talking about? He was lurking so what does he do? He decides to break up this little meeting so he calls her on her cell phone of which he sneakily took her phone number. What was he going to say to her? Get the dishes I want cake??
Sunjae is butting heads with him over Yonsoo now. Does he think he can win her? Has he ever known Minchul to back down over anything?
That was some delicious scene wasn't it? I think he was awake the whole time because he was waiting for Sunjae. I can't see Minchul falling asleep like this in the office, I mean the front door of Victory was left unlocked and anybody could walk in and I don't think he just zonked out after working either.
It was after hours and Sena just walks right in or never left. She couldn't have stayed there after all the workers called it a day and to throw a party no less without getting Minchul's permission.
So Minchul stayed in his office so she could go ahead and do her thing with her party giving her permission even though I don't think we saw it and Minchul was waiting for Sunjae. That's why I don't think he was sleeping, he was just waiting in his office.
Now who was around the building at this late hour with a reason to put a jacket over a "sleeping" Minchul? It wouldn't be Sunjae. It would have to be Yonsoo.
He didn't have to open his eyes to see who it was, he knew. He left her stare at him awhile, remember one of the early episodes where he closed his eyes and she stared at him? And then he grabs her hand not letting her go away! LOL
I never thought that Sena invited Yonsoo so she could see her and Sunjae close together, just the two of them. That never crossed my mind but I think you're right on the money with that.
Heck, I'll go a step farther, maybe Sena knew they needed dishes and figured Yonsoo can go get them and come across Minchul. LOL But maybe not, I don't think Sena knows there is any kind of a relationship between the two of them at all.
When Sunjae calls Yonsoo, the body language on Minchul was enough to scare the heebies jeebies out of anyone. Yonsoo looked petrified. This was bad, very, very bad on Minchul's part in the way he backed her up into the wall. Yieks!! Yonsoo might be a meek kinda person who takes crap from everyone but this incident with Minchul she can't accept and won't accept.
Yonsoo runs out of the room crying and the creep who caused this is still lurking, he reminds me of somebody else I know from another drama. He pretends to look so innocent doesn't he? What's wrong? Ha! You're what's wrong!
Yonsoo never gave him her phone number first of all and second of all with his phone call he was wanting to break up the little intimate meeting of Minchul and Yonsoo. Of course he did because Sunjae was right outside the door so he could have simply gone right into the office to talk to Yonsoo and at the same time he could have invited Sena's boss to her party.
When Yonsoo runs out of the office Minchul realizes what he has done. He really scared her and he knows it and he's already regretting it. Minchul had reason to be mad but his reaction was over board. He intentionally told Yonsee that the phone he was giving her was for his calls only. To him, she disobeyed what he told her and that's a biggie for him.
It also has to weigh heavy on him that it's his younger brother who is trying to make it with Yonsoo. This gives Minchul problems because he's a guy who usually holds his emotions in and in quick split seconds because of Sunjae he has to react whether it's at home in the hallway or in the office now.
When Yonsoo runs away from Sunjae too, he goes into the office to confront Minchul. Did he forget Sena was waiting? Don't tell me he's not a creep for doing that to Sena. She doesn't deserve this on her birthday.
Elsewhere in the building, Sena throws the whole birthday cake on the floor and cries.

You must be a lot more understanding than I am, emceema. I get that Sun Jae's attracted to Yon Soo, but he knows that she's commited to his being with Sena. He doesn't have to be. He can say no. But, he doesn't. He knows very well how Sena feels about him and he allows her to. I don't think Yon Soo meant for him to let Sena believe they're a couple, whether he wants to be or not. She expects for him to be kind to Sena and to be a friend, but I don't think she expects him to give over his life to her.
The thing between him and Min Chul in the office was very interesting to me. He confronts his brother and asks, what did he do to Yon Soo. He knows very well what happened. He was eavesdropping and he knows he caused it. I like that Min Chul told him its none of his business. He knows Yon Soo is his and he just really wants to aggravate Sun Jae when he tells him that he has no love to give to a woman. He likes to see Sun Jae squirm , because Sun Jae knows that Yon Soo is already involved emotionally with Min Chul. It drives him nuts that Min Chul is saying this about Yon Soo. Its like him saying Yon Soo belongs to me, if I want her. I know you want her, but I can always have her and you can't.
Sun Jae admits he's in love with Yon Soo. The look on Min Chul's face is hard to describe. I don't think he expected for him to say it. Min Chul definitely didn't like hearing it. I think he controls his rage here. He thinks Sun Jae should get it, that something's happening between himself and Yon Soo, but chooses to believe Min Chul is playing with her. Min Chul allows him to think so. He feels its none of his business and that he doesn't have to explain himself to Sun Jae.
He has his own agenda right now. He lets him know that he knows he's Zero. He tells him that talk about deception, he led him on a wild goose chase, when the person he was looking for was right under his nose. Sun Jae asks him not to tell their father. Min Chul says that's his own job. He wants to know why he did it. Sun Jae tells him he just wanted to make music. He says he's very remorseful.
After Sun Jae leaves, Min Chul goes to find the cell phone that he threw. He puts it together and its fine. He doesn't go home, but stays in the office. When he walks into the Victory store the next morning he sees Yon Soo, who looks at him without the look he's become accustomed to. He stays there until her eyes meet his and then he leaves. He needed her to look at him. When she enters the storeroom with a carton, he's there waiting for her. He tries to hand her the phone, saying luckily its not broken. She refuses to take it. She says she doesn't need it anymore. She says that from now on she'll just concentrate on Min Ji.  She as much as said, "You know that little flirtation we were having? Well, that's over." He gets the picture and looks a little surprised. He knows he went too far and he is sorry. 
He's in his office and sees that Yon Soo has gotten a text message on her phone. He reads it. Its Sun Jae. He's asking Yon Soo to meet him at the bus stop after work. He needs to tell her something. This gets Min Chul on his feet and in his car. We see Sun Jae waiting at the bus stop. We see Yon Soo just leaving work. We see Min Chul pulling up in his car. We see Min Chul do the cave man routine, once again. He pulls Yon Soo into his car. As he drives away, we see Sun Jae still standing at the bus stop.   There's no way he's going to let Sun Jae tell Yon Soo anything today!! I think he knows that Sun Jae probably wants to declare his love to Yon Soo and Min Chul says no way!!! 
I think that Min Chul would've let this romance play out more slowly, had it not been for Sun Jae. He couldn't take the chance of laying back and letting Sun Jae get his foot in the door with Yon Soo. I don't believe that would've happened, because Yon Soo was already on board with Min Chul, just waiting for him to say the word. His not taking action would have only complicated things. He had to take a stand not to let that happen. He wanted everybody to be clear on what was what. Especially Sun Jae!! So he did what he felt was nessecary. Another kidnapping to another beach!!  Is this Deja Vu!!?!? I love this.
I have to go now. I'm at work.

In watching episode 8, AGAIN!!! I realized that I left out a couple of very important things.
Mimi calls Myungja on the phone and they meet. I don't care for Mimi's overblown style, but she looked pretty good in that Chanel suit, I must say. Myungja asks why Mimi sent flowers and Mimi says she remembered their anniversary. She sang at their wedding 26 years ago. She said she forgot to tell Sun Jae that. Myungja panics and tells her to leave him alone, he doesn't know anything. Mimi is appalled by this. She asks if he doesn't know who his father is. Myungja says he never saw him and she thought it was better for him not to long for a dead father and to live with a father who loves and cares for him instead. Mimi asks if it wasn't she who needed to be cared for instead of Sun Jae. Myungja says to leave Sun Jae alone, he's happy. He's happy?? He lives in a house where he's a pariah to his brother and sister. He doesn't look happy to me. Mimi gets up to leave saying that this was an unpleasant meeting. Myungja begs her not to see Sun Jae. Myungja's chickens have come home to roost!!!
Sun Jae's still standing at the bus stop. It must've occurred to him that Yoo Son isn't coming. He calls her and we see her cell phone ringing on the table in Min Chul's office. He left it behind. He goes into Victory running through the aisles looking for her. She's not there. He sees Narae and asks if she's seen her. Narae tells him she left.
Min Chul is driving on a highway with Yon Soo at his side. She's asking him to go back. He says he doesn't want to go back. He pulls over to the side of the road and tells her to go back if she wants to. Yon Soo gets out and walks away. Min Chul gets out of the car and watches her get on a bus back to Seoul. He turns his back to the bus. He's very perturbed. He knows he's blown it with her. She's not as compliant as he thought she was. The girl has a back bone. When he turns back, the bus pulls off and once out of sight, he sees Yon Soo standing there. They're staring at each other.
As I'm watching this, I'm saying, "You move toward her first. You'd better move toward her first!!" He did. But, that's another scene.
I love this drama.

Oh, yeah. I forgot to say Sun Jae's going crazy. He should learn from experience, when Min Chul calls, Yon Soo comes running.

I watched episode 8 again and 9 also. I wanted to say that Sena's party was a congratulations party for herself not a birthday party and I realized I goofed after I already posted yesterday.
The night of her party, Minchul slept at the office all night because the next morning he had on the same clothes and the manager made a mention of it. Minchul had to have been very upset to not go home.
Yonsoo is moping the floor as Minchul walks back and forth past her with anxiety and he stops and stares at her. Yonsoo looks up at him then down and up at him again.
If you watch very closely you will see that because the manager is practically all over him, Minchul very discreetly gives Yonsoo a very slight nod of his head to follow him, and then he walks away. Check it out.
Later she comes into the storage? room where he's waiting.
The bus pulls away and Yonsoo is standing there. Minchul is outside his car looking gorgeous! Is he handsome or what? Great camera shot of him.
He's looking at her stunned to see her there. He just stares at her from across the street and she in turn stares at him with a faint smile on her face.
He starts to walk towards her and then she to him and they stop face to face. That wonderful music is playing.
Sunjae runs into Victory looking for Yonsoo in a panic. Narae tells him that Yonsoo doesn't work the night shift anymore and she left a little while ago.
In the car driving:
Yonsoo - You scared me yesterday. Before yesterday I believed you're cold, but I never considered you scary.
Minchul - And you wanted to run from me?
Yonsoo - Yes but today you looked different again.
Minchul - How so?
Yonsoo - Anxius, as if you were being chased. And I couldn't bear to leave you.
Minchul is looking straight ahead.
Yonsoo - Tell me, what are you thinking? I want to understand you.
Minchul - Do you want to go to the last? I want to take it to the end, without thinking. If I don't go today, things may change.
Yonsoo is looking at him.
Sunjae is outside his home on his bike. Minji comes home and asks if Minchul is home. Sunjae tells her not yet. Minji tells him he's not at his office either and wonders where he is. Ha!! Sunjae is thinking.
Still driving:
Yonsoo leans out the window and yells "It's the sea!"
Minchul is opening the top of the car as he's driving and he looks over at her. She leans back smiling, looking at him.
Out of no where, Minchul screams at the top of his lungs, "It's open water!" Then he starts coughing. LOL
Yonsoo looks at him shocked, then smiles and laughs as he's choking as he continues to drive looking straight ahead, serious looking again.
So funny. He let his hair down for a quick minute.
Minchul pulls on to the beach.
Yonsoo - We've really come to the end. We should go back now.
Minchul - This isn't the end.
He gets out of his car and walks a few steps looking at the ocean.
Yonsoo sits in the car looking at him, then she gets out and stands beside him.
Still looking at the ocean, Minchul grasps her hand in his, entwining their fingers. They clench their hands together, Yonsoo closes her fingers on his hand.
The music begins...Minchul looks at Yonsoo, she's smiling, he's grinning and with just a raise of his eyebrows only and her answer with a raise of her eyebrows and a slight nod, they begin to run all along the water's edge, fast and laughing with him leading her a few steps ahead.
What a wonderful long scene!
Finally tired, they both plop down onto the sand on their bellies laughing. Minchul gets up on his hands looking at her. Yonsoo is already on her belly laughing. She looks at him and he begins laughing and he lays on his belly right next to her.
Minchul laughs putting his head down in his hands while Yonsoo is laughing looking at him. She looks so cute, she puts her head on her hands leaning on her elbows.
Minchul's hands are clasped and he's looking at her and laughs again hiding his face in his hands. She's looking at him and laughs the cutest laugh. I'm even laughing now!!
Minchul is on his elbows now and he covers his face with his hands.
They have both finally broke free!!
Minchul - Have you ever tried salt water before?
Yonsoo shakes her head no.
Minchul - Liking someone is like drinking salt water. At first it's refreshing but your thirst only grows. The more you drink, the thirstier you get.
Yonsoo - Are you afraid I'll turn out that way?
Minchul - rubbing his face hard then looks at her, "I'm afraid for myself. My thirst is endless." Ahhhhhhhh
Yonsoo - If I can't quench the thirst, I'll just jump into the ocean.
She gets up and runs into the ocean clothes sneakers and all.
Minchul is surprised but instantly he gets up and runs after her and jumps in suit and all. They both let out a delightful yell.
Both of them have their arms up and turn round and round in the water. He puts one arm across her chest and she almost falls backward as a wave crashes over them. He holds her up but they are drenched.
Minchul's arms are around her good and tight and he keeps her upright. They're both laughing and he turns her to him and hugs her tight to him. Both have their arms around each other and they just hug closely standing in the ocean.
Sunjae is still outside waiting for Yonsoo and takes off on his bike. He goes to Victory where he finds the doors locked. It's night time now and he is furious throwing his helmut down. I wonder if he gets it now.
Minchul is standing outside the car leaning on it, head looking down thinking. Yonsoo is inside and taps on the window and he gets back in. She was drying herself off and she has taken off her sweater.
Smoochie, this is for you...
Minchul looks at her, her hair is all wet. He puts his hand on her forehead and wipes it dry, sliding his hand down her face. He is so intently looking at her face, it's like he owns this. His hand goes down to her chin and he's feeling her. Yonsoo is letting him.
His eyes go to her blouse and he puts his hand there. Yonsoo flinches a bit and he looks at her and gives a little smile. With one hand, he pushes her hair away and the camera does a close up on her chest. He begins to button a button that was left undone by Yonsoo. Are you still with me here??
When he does this, she must have been expecting the worse of him. He was a good boy. She looks up at him. He's so close to her and he looks at her with those eyes.
With his hand at the back of her head, he slowly kisses her forehead, the bridge of her nose (the music is playing) onto her lips where he hesitates in a very sexy way for a second as he's touching her face all over gently.
Whew!!!!
I have to say LBH is the best kisser in K-drama land that I've ever seen. Lurkers, check out episode 9, what do you think?
Geez, this guy is something else, no frozen camera kissy shots for LBH!
And so he's kissing her and kissing her as Yonsoo clutches her sweater tightly that's on her knee. The camera zooms in on her hand!
I'll give someone else a chance here, the night isn't over for these two, not by a long shot.
I can't get enough of these two. I just love this drama too!

I said yesterday that I'll show you Minchul's big shoes but I couldn't upload the picture. Image Shack is redirecting me to register which I don't want to do. Uploading pictures seems like it's not for free anymore.
Jasy, as you described that scenario at the beach, inside the car, between Yonsoo and Minchul, I've got goose bumps. Do you know how many times I watched this? And everytime, I got emotionally affected. Just like that night at the beach in BB. between Suky and Jongnam. If I have to compare the two scenes, Suky and Jongnam still wins but only by an inch. In the BB scene, at least we knew "it" happened that night judging from the reaction of Jongnam the next morning. In BD, I kept wondering if they did "it" but only at the very end of this drama that they didn't. The kissing was real in BD, but in BB, we have to imagine and that's what keeps me coming back to the beach scene. 
What made Minchul take that drastic steps of dragging Yonsoo into his car away from Sunjae? It was Sunjae's text message to Yonsoo on her cellphone. Why did Yonsoo get out of the bus and go with Minchul to the beach? It's the way he looked, so dejcted, so isolated, standing by his car with his head down. Yonsoo cannot walk away from that. LOVE, LOVE THAT IMAGE!!!!!!!!!
The beach scene is so delightful and refreshing. If you can video my reaction to this, you will find me smiling from ear to ear, my eyes dreamy, and on the kissing scene, my mouth drooling.

Some scenes, huh?? Great lover, great technique, greatest kisser, LBH. I'm with you, the best kisser in Kdrama. He said it himself, he has very good kissing skills.
 
I think when Yon Soo says that Min Chul looked like he was being chased she had no idea how close she was to the truth. He felt as though he'd lost her and was very panic stricken, I believe. When he turned toward his car, as she boarded the bus, he looked bewildered. He never meant for this to happen. He was miserable over her how he'd let this get so out of hand. He'd never meant to.
When he asks her if she wants to go to the end, I'm sure he meant does she want to go all the way. He says he wants to go to the end without thinking. If he doesn't do it today everything will change. I think this is his way of asking her to be with him from now on. He knows that if he doesn't make a move right now, he may do some other stupid thing and blow it. He's a very contolled person, but when he makes this particular decision its an emotional decision. Very unlike him. I believe right here he's decided to throw caution to the wind and go for it. It was a committment. I don't think Yon Soo realized the importance of what he said, though. He didn't say it for her benefit. He was almost thinking aloud. He knew he couldn't let her go now. He was going to take it to the end.
You want to post a picture of Min Chul's feet, emceema? Have you taken a look at the size of his hands. He has HUGE hands!!! HUGE!!! Yon Soo is not a small girl and his hand is double the size of her's. I was in total awe!!! HUGE!!! When he took her hand I was like, "OMG look at the size of that hand!!!"
Yes, Sun Jae's text message was the catalyst. If he had any idea what he did, he'd be even more miserable than he already is. By the time he's looking for her for hours he knows she's with Min Chul and imagining the worst, or the best, according to where you're standing. What was he going to do if he found them together?? Grab her wrist and drag her away?? And get humiliated by Min Chul?? Was Min Chul going to stand there and watch him pull her away?? I don't think so!! Min Chul had to put an end to this nonsense with Sun Jae and this was the way he did it. There'd be no question now who Yon Soo belonged with. Who she chose to be with.
I think when LBH screams out in the car it was not in the script. CJW looked so surprised she jumped and kept looking at him like she couldn't believe he did it. It was so funny. I don't know, but I thought he improvised there.
There are killer scenes in this episode. I'm loving this drama. I love dramas where the couple ends up at the beach. In this one we do wonder whether they did or didn't. We know they didn't, because we've seen it before, but what I want to know, specifically, is what did they do all night??
I'm at work and I should be ashamed and fired. I'll be back later from home. This is like a marathon post. I'm doing relays now.
By the way, when they go into that little room for the night, each of them are wearing Min Chuls' shirt. He must have them in his car for emergencies. Was this an emergency?? I guess so.

I came back, because I wanted to talk more about the scenes we've been discussing.  I wanted to get it straight in my own mind.
When she said he looked like someone was chasing him she hit the nail on the head. What was chasing him was his own inability to face his feelings about her and to take the next step, in an honest and direct manner. He knew how she felt about him and he knew how he felt about her, but he was having a hard time giving himself over to her. HE doesn't want to get hurt either. Instead he expected her to keep their little lover's meetings and stolen glances and sweet, seductive gestures to themselves. Sun Jae's text made him have to face himself. It was now or never, or things were going to get messy.
When Min Chul tells her he wants to go to the end without thinking, I think he meant that he didn't want to weigh the pros and cons about being with Yon Soo. His asking her was just a passing thought. He was thinking could HE do it? Should he do it? He had always had a hard time expressing his feelings to her, but he didn't want this moment to slip through his fingers. She was right here beside him and he didn't want to take the chance of things changing if they went back without getting things cleared up between them. He wanted to be a couple and have a relationship in earnest. No more little games.
Watching them run on the beach, I was thinking, it may have been the first time Min Chul felt so free and happy. They both gave up all make-believe posturing. It was the first time she'd seen him really smile. It was the first time he was so open with her. She had no problem being honest with him, but for him it was a real process up to now. Its like he warmed up to her immediately and was who he should have been all along. It was lovely to see. When he admits that he's afraid of loving her too much, I too said AHHH.......... I'm really touched by him, he has such a hard time, because he's always so closed off. He usually shows any affection on the run. I love his laugh and his deep voice, which makes those intimate moments even sexier.
The scene in the room was so beautiful and sexy, without anyone saying a word, or doing a thing. When he comes into the room, she's sitting on the floor he stands in front of her with this look that's just electrifying. She's still sitting, but still looking into his eyes and finally gets on her feet. He's still looking at her with that look. (If I didn't think he was hot before this one moment would have changed my mind forever) OMG!!!! They're face to face now, both of them staring into each other's eyes. He reaches over and touches the buttons on her shirt, she flinches and he continues to stare at her and she succumbs. He smiles at her and removes his hand finger by finger and slides his hand down between her breasts without touching them. It was some scene, let me tell you!!!!
I'm going to stop now and let someone else have a chance at this scene.
Choi Ji woo is going to join Jackie Chan on a promotional event for Hallu wood. Do you know that Jackie Chan is LBH's idol and that they're very close friends? I think these two actors, CJW and LBH are always in contact. What do you think??  I'd love to imagine they're secret lovers.
I'm going now for real, but I'll be back.

I'm with you on Minchul screaming out in the car because she jumped. And if she was "acting" in her reaction to that, she did a very real looking job at it. She's adorable when she looks at him and laughs.
That scene with him screaming was the first time Minchul let his hair down and let loose in front of anybody in a good way. It was like he was clearing out all of the pressures in his life. I don't know how to explain it. Maybe it's the salty air. He just had the urge to scream happily and he nearly choked doing it. LOL
I forgot to mention when Minchul and Yonsoo were lying on the beach after their run and they begin laughing, it's one of my favorite scenes of them.
I think they're both adorable here, I love his deep laugh and Yonsoo cute girly laugh. The way they keep looking at each other and him hiding his face...
We know they didn't sleep together this night because later on when Narae asks her point blank if they did, Yonsoo tells her she did in her mind but it didn't really matter.
I think when they were in that room, (did you notice how the camera slowly showed the bed on the floor with two pillows?) when Minchul began to unbutton her blouse and she grabbed his hand and then succumbs to him, he was actually glad of her reaction.
He knows that her first instinct was to stop him which showed she wasn't easy. Then when she drops her hand, he knows she loves him enough to let him. This is why he smiles I think. He knows without a doubt that she loves him.
It was a very sexy scene again without a word being said. Everything needed to be said was shown in their reactions to each other. She was willing you know but he knows what her first instinct was. He respects that.
Thanks for explaining about the shirts they were wearing on the next morning smoochie. I laughed when I first saw their backs in that scene because they'd been in the ocean getting their clothes all wet, fooled around in the car, Yonsoo had to at least have slept in hers, but the next morning their shirts were still crispy white and wrinkle free. I thought to myself Wardrobe really goofed on this scene.
I believe your right because at the office Minchul is forever in his closet fiddling around with his shirts. LOL
Yonsoo is so in love with Minchul that I think by the looks of them in the morning when he walks up to her on the beach and puts his arm around her and she rests her head on his shoulder, the night before they probably laid in each others arms all night.
We talk about Yonsoo succumbing to Minchul's advances but in Minchul's rigid world, he has succumbed to Yonsoo. He once said he had nothing to give to a woman or something like that and he was never interested in anyone that way so he really doesn't take this lightly at all.
He said he wanted to take it to the end without thinking and I'm sure he meant weighing the pros and cons smoochie. But though he doesn't want to think of all the what ifs he does know he loves her and he decides to just go for that. He already knows she loves him.
Minchul is such an interesting character. He's complicated and deep and though he's an ace at what he does at Victory, personally he fights many demons. I think it all stems down to his cheating father and being motherless in his younger years.
In Yonsoo he finds kindness and trust and he was as drawn to her at work as she was to him but he was content to play. It was Sunjae who put it up a notch for Minchul. He should curse the day he stole Yonsoo's cell phone number and the day he admitted to Minchul that he loved her.
Thanks for the news on CJW smoochie. I know many Korean actors think of Jackie Chan as their idol. I like to think that LBH and CJW stay in very close contact too. Many of these actors and actresses date secretly so you never know.
