A DUMB BUNNY!!! Here's where the hand puppets needed to be brought in!!

I am not going to be the one to summarize the next scene, because I can't bear it. The job goes to someone who can stomach it. emoticon I remember back to the first time I watched this, how furious and disbelieving I was at what she did next.

Here we have a guy who has trouble showing his heart to anyone, who's put himself out there for her and what does he get for his trouble?? No wonder he never trusts anyone. emoticon

You're right, Jasy, why'd they make her so dumb? emoticon

Later emoticon

Emceema! LOL Okay now, I do have sympathy for Sunjae only where it concerns him finding out about his bio father. I feel for him, all those lost years believing in someone (in his case, mom and Sunchun) who lied to you.

But emceema, do you really have sympathy for Sunjae in his dealings with Yonsoo? How can that be?

Minchul is the one who met her as adults and he began his little flirting game with her though under mistaken ideas. Yonsoo in return never took her eyes off of him.
She spent the night with Minchul which is no small deal. Her first obligation is to Minchul, as his is to her.

Looking back, once Sunjae put himself in the picture, Minchul never once bad mouthed him to Yonsoo. But Sunjae, on the other hand, gave Yonsoo unkind information about Minchul every chance he got. Not nice.

What does Minchul owe Sunjae? Nothing that I can see. They are brothers but Minchul is not his father. Minchul is being kind so far, only giving hints at first and then showing him outright that Yonsoo is his girl.

Yonsoo is way off base here. She's thinking of the little brother's feelings first and Minchul's feelings doesn't even come into play. What man could stand that?

Hi emceema,

I agree with you about the store manager. No matter who Yon Soo is to him, she's an employee and he should have done more to reprimand the manager. I didn't like the way he handled that either. I don't know about you, but a manager bites me and the company's sued. I can't imagine having to put up with so much abuse. And the boss is watching?

I still think though, that no matter how she sees Sun Jae as a kid brother, she also has to take Min Chul's feelings into account, if she wants to continue on with him. Right or wrong, he's the one she needs to concentrate on. He's her man. He doesn't like the interaction between her and Sun Jae because he knows Sun Jae is in love with her. I don't blame him. What man would want his woman hanging out with a guy who's in love with her?

K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Good Morning,

Just for Minchul's record...he never saw Team Manager bite Yonsoo. He walked in when TM was just getting off the floor, I watched it over again to be sure. I just had to know.

"We're having dinner with Minji" is what Minchul tells Yonsoo in his office after slapping the restaurant photo in her hands and telling her to make herself clear to Sunjae because she seems concerned for him and he can't get clear of his feelings. Yonsoo offers him no explanation.
Looks like he's blaming Yonsoo now.

Six o' clock at Treasure Island. Yonsoo says she can't go. She's mad now it seems. Minchul tells her it's important, be there. Yonsoo wants to know why it's important.

Minchul - I want to introduce you as my woman. Don't be late. From this day on, I'll not allow anyone to mistreat you. And I won't make you cry or smile in front of anyone but me. You can go now.

Yonsoo doesn't say a word but looks at him standing back in his office leaning against the wall looking down. She walks away and he looks up at her and grins.
Walking back to the store, Yonsoo is smiling and happy to herself.

In front of the big house, Yonsoo is walking home and sees Sunjae leaning face to the wall with a bag flung over his shoulder. He walks away when he sees her, she asks where he's going. A trip he says.
Yonsoo follows him to town where she sees him sitting alone.

Yonsoo then gets on a bus with him when she should be home getting ready for her dinner date with Minchul. She goes with Sunjae to the station where he buys a ticket. It's 40 minutes to departure he tells her.

Yonsoo looks at her watch, it's 5:45. She is very aware that Minchul is waiting for her. He told her 6:00. I guess from her actions Sunjae is more important to her right now. I don't know why, he never asked her to come with him at this point.

Sunjae, seeing her look at her watch tells her she can go. But no, she'd rather stay with him to see him off for some strange reason. I can't blame Sunjae at this moment, the blame goes to Yonsoo.

Meanwhile at Treasure Island, Minchul has a room reserved and it's decorated for Minchul's special occassion, lots of pink and red flowers displayed all around. Candles lit on a white tablecloth, candles lit on a side table, it's just too lovely for words. Dinner will be served soon. Very romantic and beautiful just for Yonsoo.

Minji comes in and is escorted to her chair. She has dressed up for the occassion. One look around and she says "wow!" Minchul enters dressed in a suit looking very pleased and happy. Minji asks "who's this grand setting for?" And grand it is!

Hands in his pockets, Minchul answers "a woman" with a smile on his face. Minji wants to know who but Minchul will only tell her it's someone he wants to introduce her to.

Minji walks over to Minchul and asks why he would want to introduce her? Minchul pinches her cheek with a smile and asks "if you wanted to introduce a guy, what might be the reason?"
Minji asks if he likes her and he grins and looks down without answering looking a bit coy. She starts to walk away but Minchul grabs her arm and asks where is she going? Minji does not like this kind of meeting she tells him and asks him if he's getting engaged?
Minchul looks very serious here, "this is the first woman I want to introduce you to. If I were you, I'd want to see her." and Minchul opens his eyes wide to her with a little nod and laugh as he's looking at his little sister. So cute. Minji can't stay mad at her brother, she laughs too as he pinches her cheek again.

Meanwhile back at the train station, a very dense Yonsoo is seeing Sunjae off. They're on opposite sides of the tracks yelling to each other like long lost sweethearts. She tells him to have a safe trip and to be sure to call Sena. Just what Sunjae wanted to hear.

The train arrives and she thinking he got on, answers her ringing phone. She tells Minchul she'll be right there. She is quite thoughtless to Minchul though.
She doesn't even consider the fact that since this is a dinner date planned so he can announce his love for her to someone, it never crosses her mind that she should be dressed up for the occassion. I really don't get her. Even Minji knew enough to dress up.

Minchul tells her to call him when she gets to the hotel, he'll pick her up. The train passes and Sunjae is still standing there, never having gotten on. He sees Yonsoo running off, phone in hand.
The race is on! As soon as Yonsoo is about to get in a cab, Sunjae grabs her away from it.

Minchul is sitting across from Minji rubbing his cheek pondering. Minji wonders why she's not here yet. He tells her they'll order because she must be hungry. He calls the waiter over and is handed the menu.

Can you imagine a worse situation than this? How embarrassing and hurtful. Minchul hands the menu to Minji and he leaves the table and enters a suite. He sits and dials Yonsoo's cell.

Yonsoo and Sunjae are sitting on a railing at the taxi stand with no plans in sight. This woman is supposed to be somewhere right now. Does she care enough to excuse herself from Sad Sack? No! She looks at Sunjae with all this compassion and concern. She needs to save it for Minchul.

Yonsoo tells Sunjae she's supposed to meet Director Lee...and her phone rings. She puts it up to her ear but Sunjae pulls it away and takes out the batteries. Yonsoo lets him.

Minchul is still in the suite with his phone to his ear. I don't think he can quite believe this is happening. He sighs.

Yonsoo looks at Sunjae who has her phone in HIS hands. He tells her to spend the day with him, "just this one day." She takes her phone back, puts it back together and calls Minchul.

Minchul - What's taking so long? Is something wrong?
Yonsoo looks at Sunjae who gives her this sad look that he reserves especially for her and walks away. Gets her everytime.

Yonsoo - I'm sorry, I don't think I can be there.
Sunjae stops and looks at her, Yonsoo looks at him. YONSOO IS A CHEATER!!

Yonsoo - I'm really sorry.
Minchul is staring in disbelief.

Yonsoo - I'll hang up.

Minchul - Yonsoo...
She hung up.

Minchul has such a look on his face, he can't believe she is doing this. He leans back in his chair, then gets up. He is speechless, he is very hurt. He walks one way, then the other way. He puts his hands on his hips, he looks up, he sighs. He's pissed!

Sunjae and Yonsoo are again leaning against the railing. Yup! This is really important, being with Sunjae leaning against a railing with no plan in sight. They look at each other and smile. He slowly inches his hand closer to hers but then thinks better of it and moves his hand back.

Minchul and Minji are eating now. What else can he do, he's trying to save face. Minji wants to know when she's coming and asks what can be more important than this? Even Minji realizes the importance of this occassion.

Poor Minchul, he tells her that she must be too scared to meet her. Minji says she won't like her and that she's lost her chance now. "Tell her she's going to pay for this." Whoa!

Minchul, ever so proper with his sister puts on a smile and says the food is getting cold, eat. The camera zooms in on Minchul and all of a sudden his reality is sinking in and he has this deep in thought look on his face as he's trying to chew his food. It looks like it's hard for the food to go down.

Meanwhile, the two vagabonds are walking to nowhere. I guess she's enjoying herself. I do not like her right now. Is she Sunjae's savior? Is Sunjae that pitiful in her eyes? Does he have no pride?

Yonsoo follows him through a grassy lot up to the low roof of the subway station. They sit and look down at the street. He opens up to her telling Yonsoo he is not his father's son, not related to them by blood, not related to Minchul.
If anyone else wants to take over this conversation, go ahead, I can't.

Next they are sitting at an outdoor eatery drinking. Sunjae tells her to forget what he just told her. Yea, right! He's going to forget too, for father and mother's sake. He doesn't want to forsake Sunchun's wishes to keep this secret. Until the day Sunjae dies, he will live thanking him as before.
Sunjae is glad he was able to tell Yonsoo his secret. Why is that?

All I can think is that Yonsoo has no thoughts of Minchul and what she has done to him tonight. She has decided that meeting Minchul tonight is not as important as being with Sunjae right now. Her first priority should be Minchul since they are the couple. She has shown herself to be a woman who splits her time between two men. They both love her but she only loves one. The lucky one, is not so lucky afterall.

Minchul is sitting alone at the table, the candle just blown out. He gets up, looks around and leaves.

Sunjae is drunk again. Yonsoo takes him to Victory...Minchul...a man of few words? Fireworks are about to explode!!

Anyeong Hasaeyo! Good morning BDF emoticon

Wow! Jasy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emoticon

Right now, it's very hard for me to stand up and defend Yonsoo's cause. It was all right for me to let her see Sunjae off to the train station but missing her date with Minchul is really unforgivable.

For argument's sake, let me take a look at Yonsoo's character. Yonsoo is a person who cannot turn her back on a desperate friend. She knew that Sunjae is troubled, that there was conflict between Minchul and Sunjae. Seeing him ran from Minchul's office and his not coming home the night before and now seeing him at the gate looking desolate, then saying he's taking a trip, is too much for Yonsoo to take. She believes that Sunjae at that moment needed a friend really bad. When Sunjae begged her to stay with him for just one day, I think Yonsoo's unselfishness ruled. She knows that it would damage her relationship with Minchul but she would forfeit a lifetime of happiness for the sake of saving a soul. And Sunjae is not just a regular soul to her. He is a friend who she can talk to when she is down. He is a person who was there for her when Sena was in trouble. He is a person who demonstrated, time and again, his willingness to help her, whether she returns his love or not. And she feels open and comfortable with him. He is a younger brother to her and could you forsake a younger brother?

The date with Minchul was not something that they planned together. She was told to come, be there, don't be late, or else? That is Minchul. At this instance, I'm not awed by what Minchul thinks is caring for Yonsoo. And many times, he has treated Yonsoo like a child. emoticon emoticon

Regarding Sunjae: His state of mind is all but stable. He is overwhelmed with all kind of feelings, hatred for Minchul for being suspicious of him, disappointment from his mother and supposedly stepfather for lying to him about his birth, sadness for not knowing his own father. He has no one to talk or turn to except Yonsoo. He doesn't know what to do and he is about to explode. The calming, gentle presence of Yonsoo is a salvation to him. When she accompanied him to the train station, he was elated and encouraged him to dare ask Yonsoo to be with him, just for a day. After that, he is probably thinking that he could face the whole world for whatever is coming to him, with no regrets.

Jasy, Smoochie, I humbly submit my assessment of these characters for your consideration. If you breath deep and look one more time, at Sad Sack and dumb bunny, maybe you can dole out a little understanding, if not compassion. LOL! LOL!

Re: K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Hello BD Family emoticon

Okay I've settled down a little so I can post. Emceema, I read your post and Jasy's post and this is what I think;

I think Min Chul should cut his losses and dump her!! What he should do is give her the cold shoulder from now on. What would she do if he treated her that way? She'd have that clueless, bewildered look, she always has and ask him again, what he means. He shouldn't tell her. He should just let her wonder what he means and tell her to get lost.

He should leave her to that big cry baby. She'd love that. She'd have two spoiled, self absorbed dunces to clean up after. She's so self-sacrificing she'd be perfect. They could each take turns whipping her until they got their way and when she gets tired, she can always recruit Narae to take over and pick up the slack.

By the way, Sun Jae didn't just start whining now, since he found out the truth about his father. He's a natural born whiner. Mr. Gloom and doom. emoticon Right from the start. My siblings don't like me!! WAHHHH!!!! Well Wimpy, thank your mommy. emoticon And thank her for lying about your father for 26 years. Min Chul had no part in the lie they've all lived with all of these years. It basically wrecked his and Min Ji's lives too.

Min Chul took a chance and opened his heart to her and wanted to introduce her to Min Ji as his woman, which as far as I know means he's serious about her. He has a really hard time expressing his needs, so he's curt and abrupt. She never said she wouldn't go. She actually was happy that he made that plan. What did she do?? She blew him off. She knew Min Chul was waiting and though I know she sees Sun Jae as a friend and kid brother, this was almost like blowing Min Chul off at the altar. emoticon It would've been really crummy of her to be late, but not to show up was totally unforgivable!!

I get that Sun Jae was in a bad way. I feel for him in this instance, but he's not her problem. This conversation could've happened tomorrow. I don't blame Sun Jae for this, except to say that he puts extra effort into looking pathetic and pitiful for Yon Soo's sake. He is manipulative and controlling. The one thing I blame him for is taking her phone and removing the battery. He's always doing something inappropriate and presumptuous like that and she allows it. emoticon

Min Chul was very direct with her, for maybe the first time, that same day, when he told her that she needed to stop being so concerned about Sun Jae's problems, because that's why he can't get clear of his feelings for her. Here she is again, doing exactly what Min Chul asked her not to do. Plus if she thought there WAS a problem between Min Chul and Sun Jae, whose side do you think she should've been on?? Or she could've just minded her own business, it was between brothers.

I think Min Chul should go home from the restaurant and pack her bags. He doesn't owe her anything at all. He shouldn't give her the time of day. He held up his end of the bargain. He even gave Sena a contract, which wasn't usually done. Just to see Yon Soo to smile for him. emoticon

I know this sounds harsh, but I've just about had it with those two. They definitely deserve each other. My vote is Min Chul tells her to take a hike!!

She certainly doesn't deserve this hottie!!! emoticon emoticon

ImageImageImage

Instead she should be forced to spend her life with this pudgy, whiny Mamma's Boy!! emoticon

Image

Sorry emceema, neither of them gets a pass. emoticon I'd like to say Sun Jae has less of the blame than she has, but he knew she was on her way to meet Min Chul and he stopped her. This is not the first time either. So he's guilty too. But, Yon Soo gets the lion's share. emoticon She let him stop her!! She must not see Min Chul as important.

I say dump her!!! emoticon

I'll be back. emoticon

Later emoticon

K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Good Morning BD,

I think that when Sunjae was standing against the wall of his home with his bag over his shoulder, he was waiting for Yonsoo to appear. He has always waited for her outside otherwise, he would have walked out of his house and just kept on walking. So again Sunjae involves Yonsoo in his misery by telling her he's going on a trip but not telling her where to. He plays the game good. Why the need to tell only Yonsoo, his brother's girlfriend? Why get her all emotionally involved about it? He should have told mommy.

Yonsoo could have confronted Sunjae right there outside the house and demand he talk to her since she worries for him. Instead she follows him with no words being spoken and it's not even her business. Sometimes people will go away to clear their heads, doesn't she know this? What's she afraid of? Sunjae's a grown man for petes sake.

Sunjae did not yell out to Yonsoo that he would kill himself. What was she so desperate about that she had to follow him? Brothers fight all the time. It's none of her business. Yonsoo knows where Minchul and Sunjae stand with each other, it was a long time in the making. Yonsoo is Minchul's woman and not Sunjae's and she should not be on such intimate terms with him to begin with. And I'd say their relationship is on intimate terms because Sunjae keeps trying to win her over.

If Sunjae needs to talk to someone, he can talk to Sena. Remember her? She'd be more than willing to lend her shoulder to Sunjae to cry on. Sena gave hints galore to Yonsoo that she liked Sunjae, to stay away.
Yonsoo doesn't take very seriously what Sena said to her because if she did, she'd stay away from Sunjae because Sena is trying to land this guy for herself. And then we have Minchul who is upset with her relationship with Sunjae and she just ignores his feelings.

Yonsoo wants Sunjae to be with Sena but anyone can see that she is the one Sunjae seeks out. She has to know he likes her but she ignores that part too. She thinks she can be his friend even though he wants her to be his girlfriend. She makes no sense.

She'll be beside Sunjae whenever he asks but she has time and time again ignored Minchul and Sena's requests. She knows it's wrong too because she always looks guilty when caught.

First Minchul should find her and ask for her reason for standing him up. If Sunjae is her excuse, (and he is) Minchul should break it off with her. Pronto!

If I were the girl and my guy did a no show because he was with a "female friend in need" after I'd set up an occassion like that for a big announcement, I'd dump him in a flash especially so if this "special relationship was ongoing." I'd have too much pride to go on like this.
Yonsoo wasn't home sick, no life or death emergency came up, she just went off with Sunjae.
What makes it worse is that when she was on the phone with Minchul, she gave him no explanation or excuse. She abruptly hung up.

There were times at work when Minchul didn't give Yonsoo a smile and she'd get all worked up about it even crying to Narae. It's happened more than once.
How would Yonsoo feel if she made a special occasion like this and he was a no show? If an unsmiling Minchul at work gets her all upset, imagine how she'd feel if she was the one who set up this dinner and he didn't show? If tables were turned what would she think? She may find out one day what it feels like.

Minchul should call it a day with Yonsoo once he finds out it was because of Sunjae. And Sunjae needs to be decked once and for all.

If Minchul is not LBH, say for instance he is Han Jaesuk (I didn't like this guy in Four Sisters and Women in the Sun), or any other korean actor that you know, will you still be as passionate as you are now?
