K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Good Morning BD,

Minchul is in his car, leaning back and looking at the sky. This is where he's been all night, just thinking and probably settling things in his mind. Everything he worried about in the past about becoming close to someone has come true. It's just not working. He looks so sad and defeated and he will close himself off again. He thought he could trust Yonsoo but he thinks differently now.

Yonsoo and Narae are at work. Narae comes to Yonsoo all excited for her asking about her date with Minchul. "Was it good? Did you have a good time with Mr. Prince? You were smiling ear to ear yesterday."
Yonsoo's non answer is Narae's answer.
Narae asks her "What is Mr. Prince that he's able to turn your mind inside out?"
Yonsoo should tell her. She should tell her that she stood Mr. Prince up with no explanation and instead chose to spend her evening with his pouting brother wandering around.

Minchul comes into work with his crew and he is walking very fast and he's looking quite serious. He has the same suit on from the night before, minus his tie which I think is in his hand. He had a rough sleepless night in his car.

Narae, bless her heart, knocks the CDs off of the cart directly in Minchul's path to stop him. Yonsoo and Narae kneel down to gather them up and Minchul bends down also picking up a few. He says "it's okay, Good Morning" and then he walks off. Narae tells Yonsoo that he seems to be in a good mood.

Minchul is in the meeting room taking his jacket off. He turns around and Yonsoo is staring at him through the glass partition. He pauses as he looks at her looking at him and then he sits down for his meeting.

I have to laugh at this. Sunjae is no where in sight and now Yonsoo is back to her old ways, staring at Minchul hoping for some kind of response. I myself find this very tiring and exhausting, back to square one. And anyway, would she be staring if Sunjae was in the building?

Sena auditions for Muse and she is awful. She can't read music but I think that's no big deal. She continues to do her own rendition of a song with dance moves in her ugly baggy pants and she fails terribly. She knows it too.
Mimi is watching this audition and is getting a kick out of it. I don't think she knows who Sena is at this point. She goes up to Sena and tells her she reminds her of herself at that age. I guess you can do so miserable at an audition that it would make you stand out among others and that might be your big break! LOL

Sunjae is playing piano and Sena stops by and sees him, surprised that he plays. She asks that he play that tune again because she likes it but he tells her he will another time.

Back at Victory, Sena walks in with a mission. She heads directly to the meeting room where Minchul is and walks right in. This girl doesn't fool around.

She asks Minchul for a favor and he quickly dismisses his team and tells her to take a seat. She asks if he'd date her contract for when she can record. She tells him she knows he's doing this for her sister and that's the reason she's asking for this favor.

Director Lee says he can't make such stipulations to the contract. She pleads her case a little saying that she and Yonsoo won't forget his kindness. Minchul has such a look on his face.

Minchul - I think you're mistaken. The reason I offered you that contract is because of a promise I made to Yonsoo but that's about all I can do or wish to do. I hope, from now on you won't be making unreasonable demands in Yonsoo's name.
Sena walks out.

Narae and Yonsoo are waiting for her outside the meeting room.
Sena asks Yonsoo if things are going well with Mr. Lee. Nothing passes this girl by, she's smart. Yonsoo doesn't answer. Ha!

Sena - No wonder.
Narae - Why?
Sena - He's as cold as ice. (Yonsoo should tell her sister why) He wouldn't be if it were going well with Yonsoo.

Yonsoo should tell Sena that she was with Sunjae the night before and I'll bet a dollar a donut that Sena will turn cold as ice too. Yonsoo is really something!

Yonsoo painting at home and Myungja knocks on her door asking if she'd take a change of clothes to Minchul.

Yonsoo knocks on Director Lee's door at Victory looking a bit glad and hoping for the best. She enters, doesn't immediately see him and glances around. Then she spots him, he's in the area where he changes his clothes. His back is to her and he's undoing his shirt.

Yonsoo - Mr. Lee. Why don't you ask me anything?
(he did last night) Why do you get upset but won't let me explain? That day, I wanted to go...
(Why didn't she explain when she called him to cancel that night when Sunjae was beside her, when Minchul said her name into the phone, she just hung up on him. Now that she's alone, she's wants to explain? Why wouldn't she explain herself to Minchul in front of Sunjae at Victory?)

Minchul - Can't you see I'm changing?
She hands him his clothes and he tells her not to do errands like this. He does not look at her in the face.

Minchul turns back around and he takes his shirt off. She's standing there looking at his bare back. His muscled bare back! She pauses as she's looking at him and collects her thoughts and walks out and closes the door. She knows what she gave up!!
Minchul stops buttoning his shirt upon hearing the door close. He looks down, leans against a chair or whatever with one hand on his hip. In the hall, Yonsoo pauses outside his door clearly upset.

I suppose it's the end of the day and Yonsoo is at her locker and about to leave. She gets a call from Minchul on her cell phone. She has a little spark in her again as she answers. He tells her to come to his room.

Yonsoo looks hopeful and is smiling a bit as she's walking there. When she enters his office, she has a little smile on her face.

Minchul at his computer - Sit down. Did you know Sena's auditioned elsewhere?

Yonsoo - No

Minchul - A contract that I offered Sena is only because of you. And other reason is Sena is sincere to our company. But her competing to another company after receiving a contract shows she means otherwise. Tell Sena what I mean. Tell Sena if she doesn't come by tomorrow, the offer is no longer valid. That's all. You can go.

Yonsoo looks devastated. He continues working his computer.
I have to say, his heart is breaking too. When she leaves, he stops working and looks down.

Sunjae meets Mimi. He tells her not to call him anymore, he wants to live his life as before with nothing changing. She tells him she is making an album in memory of Young-un and hoped to put his song in it. When he's about to leave, she hands him a bag filled with her old record albums composed? by his father. She tells him he would want Sunjae to have them.

Sunjae at home telling his mom that he's okay and he'll respect Sunchun as a dad. Myungja is relieved and thanks him.

Minchul drives home and Yonsoo is waiting outside for him. He spots her and just looks at her. She comes over to the car looking at him and he rolls down the window. She wants to talk to him so he pushes the door open for her.

Yonsoo - I know you're upset with me and that you've got every reason to be. But that day, you were wrong. (she's talking out of both sides of her mouth here.)
(He's "got every reason to be" upset with her but he is "wrong"? What the heck does that mean??)

Minchul looking at her "So you wanted to tell me that I was wrong?"

Yonsoo - I can't go into details (AWWWWW I CAN'T STAND IT!!) but Sunjae was having a very rough day. (Send her to the gallows) If you had been in my shoes, you would've done the same.

Minchul - I don't think so. I'm not as kind as you and not give my everything so easily. It's strange when I think about it. At first, that's what I liked about you, but now that's what's become overbearing. (he looks at her.)
One more thing. Just with our being brothers, Sunjae and I find things complicated enough. I want nothing to do with anything involving him. (he's staring at her)
No matter the subject.

Yonsoo - Regardless who it is. Doesn't my heart matter? (Hahaha) It's you whom I love. Doesn't that matter?

Minchul - Sunjae will understand your feelings. I don't know how to read others hearts nor do I trust them.

Minchul gets out, she's about to cry. He opens the door for her and starts to walk away. She gets out but is just standing there looking at him. He stops and is waiting for her to close the door so he can click it locked. He then walks into the house.

So sad...

I find Yonsoo to be a very complicated person to understand. She loves Minchul but could not or would not explain herself to him the night before because Sunjae was beside her. That's what it looks like.
She had two chances, once on the phone and once at Victory. She wouldn't and she put Sunjae's feelings over Minchul's. I just don't get her.

Now that Sunjae is no where around, she wants to talk.

Anyeong Hasaeyo! Good morning BDF emoticon

LOL! LOL! ROTFLMAO (ROLLING ON THE FLOOR, LAUGHING MY ***OFF) emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

This, so far, was the best discussion we ever had.

Smoochie: Thank you for that line by line rebuttal! I think you're in the wrong career path. You could have been a good prosecutor. emoticon

Jasy: That scenario you just posted is what I call "Minchul's Snub". Yonsoo was in a jitter trying to explain herself. I don't blame Minchul for turning ice-cold again.

And I applauded when he rebuffed Sena's demand. That girl has the audacity to come in and brazenly asked Minchul to date her contract, using Yonsoo's name. emoticon emoticon class blockquote Minchul drives home and Yonsoo is waiting outside for him. Okey, I couldn't think of any reason either, why Yonsoo would think that Minchul was wrong. class blockquote Yonsoo - Regardless who it is. Doesn't my heart matter? (Hahaha) It's you whom I love. Doesn't that matter?

Brrrrrrrrr! That was bone-chilling cold! emoticon emoticon Yonsoo looks pathetic here. That slamming door in Minchul's heart is deafening!

Minchul's line "I don't know how to read others' hearts, nor do I trust them" is classic. emoticon

Hello BD Family emoticon

I wish I had time , but I don't. I'll have to come back to talk later. So busy! emoticon Emceema, I knew you'd get a laugh out of that.

Of course, I have much to say. Have we met?? Do you know me?? emoticon

Later emoticon

Just one thing. How long ago was this? Wasn't this where Min Chul told her he doesn't want to hear about anything, or anybody, that doesn't have to do with him? Didn't she say that she wouldn't do anything he disapproved of? But, for him not to turn his back on her? Isn't this where she told him she wasn't going to fight her feelings for him? Anybody know what happened? Oh, that's right, Sun Jae looked distressed!!! emoticon No wonder Min Chul is icy cold. She reneged on their deal.

Re: K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Good Morning BD Family emoticon

A couple of things. I can't help it. I'm like a dog with a bone. emoticon

Sun Jae tells Yon Soo that they shouldn't go into the house together, so he's not oblivious to the havoc he's caused, but when Yon Soo starts to walk away, he turns his back looking pitiful once again. Does anyone think he was trying to play on her sympathy again?? I'm not sure, but this time Yon Soo ignores him and he then watches her run toward the house. emoticon

When Narae asks Yon Soo about her date with "Mr Prince", I'm sorry Yon Soo didn't tell her she didn't show up and why. I'd like to have seen Narae's reaction. There's no way anyone hearing this could say she did the right thing. Especially after Yon Soo telling her she didn't feel like she and Min Chul were on the same page in their relationship. He was going to give her the confirmation and confidence she needed and she didn't show up?? I'd like to hear what Narae had to say, if she'd heard the full story. I'm sorry they didn't go there.

When Min Chul goes into the store and Narae knocks the cd's all over the floor, after he helps to pick them up, he moves on, without looking directly at Yon Soo, who's looking at him trying to find a sign. Narae says he looks like he's in a good mood and I think its because he's made a decision. Sometimes it puts our mind to rest, once we've decided something either way. This is what I think happened with Min Chul. He goes into his office and removes his jacket and notices her looking at him. I love him, because he looks at her as if to say, "Yes? Can I help you with something?" She's gotten the message here. HE has nothing to say. He turns his back to her and continues on with his life.

I think Sena is a horrible girl. When she as much as tells Yon Soo, she dropped the ball with Min Chul, she needed to be told about her lack of talent. Instead she blames Yon Soo for not getting it right with him. This, according to Sena, is all her fault. emoticon

Jasy, you're so right. Yon Soo should've said to Sena, "This is what happened. I had a date with Min Chul last night, but I stood him up to be with Sun Jae. Min Chul is a little upset with me right now, but don't take it seriously, I don't." How do you think Sena would've reacted to that news? emoticon Would she think Min Chul is wrong and over-reacting? I don't think so.

When Yon Soo goes into Min Chul's office with a change of clothes, she takes this as an opportunity to try to straighten things out with him. He's not interested. When he takes his shirt off in front of her, he knew it was disrespectful, but he also knew she'd leave his office. He is really mad at her, isn't he? I don't blame him. Hopefully she gets the enormity of what she's done.

When she gets the call to come to his office, she's all hopeful, again. He wants to talk about Sena. He's all business and very, very impersonal. When he's done talking, he dismisses her. She's really thrown by how cold he is. Does she get it yet?? NO!! emoticon

When she finally gets the chance to talk to him and state her case, what does she say? "I know you're upset with me and you've every reason to be." So far on the right track. Then she says, "But, that day, you were wrong." emoticon emoticon emoticon This girl still hasn't got a clue about this man. She's just an emotional moron!!! He, like me, can't believe his ears!!! emoticon All of this to tell him he was wrong?? She tells him he'd have done the same thing. Without missing a beat, he tells her, "I don't think so. I'm not as kind as you are." Her talk with him was to no avail. She didn't say one thing to make him understand and the minute she, AGAIN, mentioned Sun Jae it was all over, but the singing. emoticon She's exhausting!!!

Her crying to Narae was so wrong. She feels he should have listened to her, if he loved her. He should have trusted her, if he loved her. She says no matter how angry she was she couldn't be so cold or mean. DIFFERENT STROKES, BABE!!! Maybe HE wouldn't have left YOU waiting for him somewhere, without showing up!! Everybody's different. Everbody's not as dumb as she is. Does she still not know what she's done to him?? She's starting to understand the consequences, though, whether or not she knows she's wrong, she knows he's not so forgiving. That scene really annoyed me.

I could agree with her if this was a one time thing, but its not. Its on-going, the Sun Jae thing. She'd been warned more than once and chose to act like she didn't understand. This time was critical, though. It was all in the timing. The other question I have is, how could Min Chul know she's not playing both men? He doesn't know every moment of every day, what they're up to. All he could do was trust her. You see what that got him.

When he told her to get up, she chose to stay on her knees, beside Sun Jae. Then to put the icing on the cake she told him if he was done talking, to leave. She humiliated him in front of Sun Jae. These two are in competition here and she made Sun Jae the winner and let Min Chul walk away. Unforgivable!! emoticon

Neither of them gets much sleep these days. He's pacing in his room. She's sleepless in her's. Both made a move to go to the other and then had a change of heart. He's too hurt. She has no excuse and he doesn't want to hear the one she has. If only she didn't start the conversation with Sun Jae's name, everytime, he may have listened, but....... emoticon

The next day she tells Narae she's leaving that house. Narae being the good friend she is, tells her she's happy to have her back living with her.

She's out with Min Ji. Seems like she's trying to get her ready for after she leaves. They see a movie, they buy books for Min Ji to study for her exams. They sit in a cafe. Min Ji tells her it won't do her any good to be nice to her. Her brother has a girl. He must've really fallen for her if he was going to introduce her to Min Ji. So she tells Yon Soo to wake up from her dream. Yon Soo has tears running down her cheeks. She should get right here, how much she's hurt him. Does she? I don't know. Min Ji asks her what she's crying about. Is she that hurt? She asks her why bark up the wrong tree? She'll only hurt herself. She puts her drink in front of her and tells her to drink it and get herself together.

Yon Soo tells Min Ji to promise that she'll only think of herself and do the things she wants. And to aim for what she wants. She says she's sorry, she wanted to help her, but only got in her way. Min Ji gets that something's wrong and asks her what this is about. Is she getting back at her for being mean? Yon Soo tells her she's just sorry. I think these two have real affection for each other, though Min Ji still tries to behave like a brat, she's come a long way. emoticon

I have to go now, but I love that Min Chul is making her sweat and I'm still mad that he gives in. She never really gets how what she did was wrong. By the way, even if she'd have stood him up for Narae or Sena, it still would've been wrong, unless they were having emergency surgery or were in labor, or were at death's door. GET THE PICTURE??? emoticon She was wrong!!! It only made it more wrong and compounded it by her being with Sun Jae, Min Chul's enemy. emoticon

Gotta go. I'm at work and should be ashamed. emoticon

Later emoticon

Look how sad he is!! emoticon That witch!!!!!! emoticon

K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

I think the thing that bugs me most is that Yonsoo still doesn't get it. She goes mum when Narae asks her how her date went with Minchul. She just doesn't say a word so it looks like Minchul is at fault. Yonsoo should just come out with it and tell her that she traded a special date with Mr. Prince for wandering around the city with Mr. Toad. And like I said before, Yonsoo wants to make up only now when Sunjae is out of sight.

I think you're right smoochie, Minchul had made his decision already when he picked up those cds. Narae said he seems to be in a good mood, and he did say good morning. In that meeting room when he turned around and saw Yonsoo staring at him, he reacted as if she was just another employee, no one special. No smile, no frown, he just looked at her as a fleeting interruption, nothing major and then got on with his business.

It's awful to see all the turmoil Sunjae has caused with these two. I really don't like him. I find him to be an annoying troublemaker who comes and goes whenever he feels like it, someone who must know that things are harder for Yonsoo when he comes around her. Even that doesn't stop Sunjae, he'll still go with his whims of the moment.

If I were Yonsoo, and Minji told me that Minchul has a girl and he must have really fallen for her if he was going to introduce her to Minji, that would have given me a little hope. I certainly would not move out of the house yet. With a third person (Minji) knowing the extent of Minchul's love and caring for "his girl" it would make me realize though Minchul is acting cold towards me right now, he must really love me to tell Minji. I wouldn't give up. But Yonsoo does.

When you think of it, Yonsoo wants to move out of the house and Sunjae can thank himself for that. Though Yonsoo would blame Minchul's coldness, she should look deep at the root of the problem, and that's Sunjae. So it's quite ironic in a sense, Sunjae loves Yonsoo but he has caused the problem which makes her want to move out.

I'm glad Minchul is giving her the cold shoulder now too. She deserves it. He is really the mature one in this whole situation. Yonsoo goes crying to Narae but never tells her what she did to Minchul. And Sunjae cries to Yonsoo over anything and everything. Two big babies. I still say Sena has more smarts than Yonsoo.

And I just realized something else, with Yonsoo keeping mum on the Minchul situation, she never has to take any blame.

With Minchul in his room pacing and wanting to go to Yonsoo and Yonsoo who keeps walking towards Minchul's door and back to her room, it easy to see these two really love each other. And all I can think of is Sunjae! He caused this. I really hate him.

Re: K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Hello Again,
Jasy, you made me think of something funny, or not so funny, according to where you're standing. My husband would always act like he didn't understand my point in an argument. I figured out early on that if he acted like he didn't understand, it meant he didn't have to change it. Whatever behavior we were arguing about, I mean. This is what Yon Soo is doing. Its a trick. Her acting clueless makes her look innocent, at least in her eyes. That's not working anymore for Min Chul. The last time she said, "What do you mean?" , he looked ready to give up. Now, at least for the time being, he HAS given up.

I hate Sun Jae too. Like I said passive/aggressive. He acts all nice, but he's very destructive and doesn't care who he leaves in his wake. Even Yon Soo, though he acts like he cares. The only thing he cares about is keeping a wedge between her and Min Chul. He knows there's no hope for him, he's just wants to make sure Min Chul isn't happy. He's a weasel. emoticon In the end its still Yon Soo's fault. He's HER boyfriend and she's the one who made the choice.

I think when Min Ji tells her about Min Chul's girlfriend, she realizes how she's hurt him and how she ruined that night. If she was asked right then was it worth it, I think she'd say she couldn't help it, Sun Jae was having a bad day. But, I do think she feels badly for bailing on Min Chul and Min Ji too. I think given another chance at that night she'd do the same thing. She's that oblivious to how wrong it would be.

Gotta go.

Anyeong Hasaeyo! Good afternoon BDF emoticon

I was late logging in today because I was pondering what can I say. Smoochie and Jasy have very strong points and I tend to be emotional too. But my feelings aside, I would like to raise some questions that has been nagging my brain.

Jasy said: class blockquote With Minchul in his room pacing and wanting to go to Yonsoo and Yonsoo who keeps walking towards Minchul's door and back to her room, it easy to see these two really love each other. And all I can think of is Sunjae! He caused this. I really hate him. That's it! They love each other. Although Minchul is being cold on the outside, he couldn't deny that he loves and care for Yonsoo. But his pride gets in the way and his hatred for Sunjae.

He knows there's no hope for him, he's just wants to make sure Min Chul isn't happy. He's a weaselIsn't this too harsh? If Sunjae doesn't care about Minchul, he would have gone straight to Mimi and accepted her offer. He also went along with Minchul to end the Zero problem by acknowledging that Mr. Oh is Zero.

Like the picture at the restaurant, Minchul thought that they were enjoying themselves immensely since they were smiling in the picture but the truth is they were about to leave the table when the photographer took the snapshot and surprised them.

Another thing, why did Yonsoo decided to stay with Sunjae at Victory that night? When I first saw this episode, I was disappointed with Yonsoo also. I couldn't find any reason why she should stay. But after viewing the scenario a few times, I found the answer. When Yonsoo was leaving the store, she has to lock to door. I noticed that the lock is outside. Yonsoo also hesitated after locking the door, then decided to come back in. Once she lock the door, Sunjae wouldn't be able to get out.

K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Good Morning BD,

You're right smoochie when you said Sunjae knows there's no hope for him, he just wants to make sure Minchul isn't happy. Remember when Sunjae had that talk with Yonsoo the morning after her sleep over at the beach? She told Sunjae she loved Minchul. I think this was the scene where he told her something about even if it wasn't him, (Sunjae) he hoped she'd be with anybody but Minchul. I thought that was the meanest thing anybody could say about someone.

And emceema you hit the nail on the head. Minchul really still wants Yonsoo but it's his pride. His pacing back and forth when she comes up the stairs at home, doesn't know how to go to her but knows he wants to, but doesn't do it...pride.

You also have a good point there emceema about locking the door and he wouldn't be able to get out. And she was leaving and locking up but then came back in. I never thought of that so I will give her the benefit of the doubt. However, after he slept it off and was sober, they both should have left immediately instead of lingering there and she should have been the first one to say, let's get out of here. Like smoochie said, if she could drag him to Victory she could have dragged him to a taxi and sent him home.

Back on the balcony - Yonsoo tells Sunjae she's moving out. He's the first to know. She also makes sure to tell him it's not his fault so don't let it bother you.
I wonder whose fault it is? She tells him that he's having a hard time and she feels bad making him worry about her.

Sunjae enters Minchul's room, he's working on his computer. He never once looks up at Sunjae or changes his position. Sunjae asks Minchul if he's going to let Yonsoo leave?

This must be a shock to Minchul who didn't know because Yonsoo hadn't bothered telling him first although he is the one who brought her into the house for Minji. Minchul doesn't act like he didn't know, he doesn't act surprised, doesn't flinch and doesn't change his posture one bit. He has already separated himself from Yonsoo.

Sunjae worries aloud that this is not the right time for her to leave. He's worried that if she leaves now it'll leave a scar.

Minchul, never taking his eyes off the computer tells him to "stop her then." (I love it!) Sunjae says he wouldn't come to him if he could. Minchul tells him it's all for the better, it's no good because "we're brothers" and two brothers fighting over one woman, the time's ripe to settle this matter and that since he, Sunjae, is not one to settle this matter, he'll have to.
I think Minchul means by "he'll have to" is that by him not doing anything to stop her, he settles it once and for all.

Sunjae - Is that so easy for you? I'm glad you hold the knife.
Minchul - Leave.

I don't like how Minchul seems to say that since they're brothers, he's ending it with Yonsoo. It's as though his brother comes first. I don't like that thought, doesn't that mean Sunjae won? Sunjae doesn't want Yonsoo with Minchul and Minchul says because their brothers...
While I'm glad Minchul is giving her the cold shoulder for a while, I guess what I'm saying is I don't want it to be permanent. I don't actually want Minchul giving up his woman because of his brother. And I don't want Sunjae to win.

Yonsoo calls Minchul and tells him she has to tell him something. He knows what it is, Sunjae just told him. Minchul tells her it's late, "let's talk tomorrow."

Next morning before work Yonsoo is sitting deep in thought looking sad in a cafe or whatever. Minchul comes along and sees her through the window. He pauses looking at her, and he looks sad too.

Minchul sits across from her. He looks like he's trying to hold tight to his emotions. He sits rather straight and stiff in his chair before her.

Minchul - I hear you're moving out. Sunjae's very worried. Do you have a place to stay?

Yonsoo - I'll move into Narae's place.

Minchul - Did you tell Minji?

Yonsoo - I should've told her this morning, but I know she'll be thrilled to hear me go, but I couldn't bring myself to tell her. Tell her sorry for me.

Minchul - Will you continue to work at the store?

Yonsoo - No. I'm going to look for another job?

All this time, Minchul never once takes his eyes off of her face. His heart is breaking.

Yonsoo - I know talks like this make you uncomfortable but I'm really concerned for you.

Minchul is still staring at her.

Yonsoo - You say you can't read people's hearts nor trust them. But I believe you've shown me your heart and fear.

With these words, he breaks his stare and looks away. Minchul knows she's right. He has let her into his heart.

Yonsoo - That you'll shut it again because of me. I'm so worried about that.

Minchul is not looking at her now. Yonsoo is tearing up, she wipes her tears and a little sob comes out. Minchul, without looking at her knows she's crying.

Yonsoo - I'd better go. (Minchul looks up at her) I have to say good-bye since I'll be gone before you come home.
She gets up and leaves.

Minchul is still sitting there, trying to stay composed but he is clearly heartbroken. Yonsoo, walking towards work is crying and wiping her tears. Minchul still sitting is thinking, eyes downward.

Yonsoo at home packing her bags. Sunjae is standing in her doorway watching. He goes in, Yonsoo picks up her bags. She says she doesn't have much.
He takes the bags out of her hands and is thinking of something while placing them back down on to the floor. He pauses, thinking. He feels sorry for her I think and he comes up with a spur of the moment idea.

Sunjae - Let's have a farewell party. It's only fitting. Leave the bags here. I'll bring them tomorrow.

Yonsoo - I don't want to trouble you.

Sunjae - It's okay. Let's go.

Sunjae and Yonsoo are walking in the park, beautiful cherry blossoms all around them. It's quite crowed here, people all around taking in the beautiful sights.

Minchul's phone rings. He goes to answer it, his back to us, one hand in his pocket.....................................

Minchul - Hello

Sunjae - It's me

Minchul - What's up?

Sunjae - I'm at Yoido, the cherry blossom festival.

Minchul - And?

Sunjae - I'm with Yonsoo. Come get her. I'll wait until around eight o'clock. If you don't show until then I'll think you have no feelings for Yonsoo. And I won't hold back because of you in front of her.
Sunjae hangs up.

Sunjae and Yonsoo still walking and it's almost eight. Sunjae tells Yonsoo to wait right there a moment, he wants to get her flowers for the occasion. He takes off, but not too far away.

Minchul still in his office at his computer, stares at the clock. It's 7:55. He's really fighting the urge, he turns the clock away from him, continues typing.

And then..........

The music starts!!! Minchul is in his hot car looking pretty hot himself. He's driving fast.

Yonsoo is walking slowly along the park's path. Minchul pulls up and parks. He hurries through the barriers and begins walking, looking for Yonsoo. He begins walking faster and faster, then begins to run. He goes right past her and a few feet away, he stops. He turns around and he sees her. At that moment, Yonsoo spots him. They just stand there looking at each other.

Minchul goes to her and they stand looking at each other face to face. He puts his arms around her and hugs her tightly. It's beginning to rain and they stand there in their own little world in a tight embrace, with people walking all around them.
Sunjae is watching.

I'm so happy they're back together where they belong. They love each other.

Sunjae did this for Yonsoo. Not for Minchul. But the result is the same though it doesn't bring the two brothers any closer. But it doesn't matter. Yonsoo and Minchul belong together.

Mimi meets Sunjae and spills the beans to him, every little dirty secret of Sunchun's involvement with her and Yong-jun. Does anybody think this was okay for her to do that? On one hand I don't think she had any business telling Sunjae, the son, details like this. Mimi is not related to him. It's the past, it's not her business.
On the other hand, I think as an adult, Sunjae has a right to know.

Sunjae goes home afterwards and confronts his mother.

I'm heading to the next episode now, I want to see Minchul sing to Yonsoo while slow dancing with her. I'd have melted in his arms...

Good Morning BD Family emoticon

Jasy, I'm still reading your post, but I had to stop to comment on this one thing and then I'm going back to continue reading.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't like how Minchul seems to say that since they're brothers, he's ending it with Yonsoo.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't agree that Min Chul is letting Sun Jae win. He tried to end this in a different way and Yon Soo didn't cooperate. Traditionally, brothers are not supposed to fight over a woman, so Min Chul feels that if he couldn't end this "game" in a way that was positive for him, he'd end it any way he can. He didn't really lose, he just gave up. He didn't give up because of Sun Jae, he gave up because he got tired of trying to work things out with the clueless Yon Soo. He knows Sun Jae can't have her. If that were the case, I'd have to say Sun Jae won, but its not the case. His telling Sun Jae to stop her, is telling him he knows Sun Jae can't. Min Chul knows HE can, but he wants to show Sun Jae that no matter what he does he has no real control over Yon Soo's feelings for him. All of the dirty tricks in the world won't change the fact that Yon Soo's heart belongs to Min Chul. Sun Jae knows that.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I must be the meanest person in the world, because when Sun Jae called him and said he wouldn't hold back in front of her if Min Chul didn't show up, I'd have told him to go for it!!! See if you can get her!! Let me know how that turns out!!! That would stop all of this crap in a heartbeat. Yon Soo wants to comfort and care for that whiny, pudgy, cry baby, but romanically? It ain't happening. I think that if Sun Jae would've made one more proclamation of love, he'd risk not seeing her again. She doesn't want a relationship with him and he couldn't sulk his way into one. Right now that's his game. Imagine? She'd have to marry him because he's pathetic?? emoticon

I have to go, but I'll be back. emoticon

Later emoticon

Re: K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Hello again emoticon

The thing that bothered me about that phone call from Sun Jae to Min Chul, was it was like Sun Jae was giving him permission to come and get her. It was like him saying, "I've done everything to make you miserable, but now she's miserable. I'm handing her over to you." That's why it bothered me for Min Chul to show up. He should have let him try to win her over and fail. That would have to make Sun Jae face reality that he's not the guy. He'd have finally had to step back and leave Min Chul and Yon Soo have the relationship they were intended to have without interference from him. There's no way she'd have traded Min Chul for this boy. emoticon

I love that he told her "Sun Jae's very worried." Its like he's telling her, she's now Sun Jae's business and not his. She asked for it. emoticon I know its cold, but he tried to be warm and look where it got him. When there was a choice between him and Sun Jae, she chose Sun Jae. I think he's enjoying letting her know that, though his heart is breaking. He did the same thing with Sun Jae when he told Sun Jae to stop her from leaving and he had to admit that he couldn't. Min Chul already knew he couldn't. He wanted to make sure Sun Jae knew it.

I'm still very angry with Yon Soo, which even I find over the top. I never knew I was so unforgiving, but to me what she did was unforgivable. I can't wait to get past this part so I can move on and lose my anger. I still wish he didn't show up. I still feel she needed to be taught a lesson. I don't feel she was. She gets off without understanding the seriousness of what she did to him. She never got it and never apologized properly. I feel she doesn't deserve him. emoticon She should have had to do more to get back into his life.

The funny thing, I just realized, was the night she deserted Min Chul, all she and the other guy did was wander around like teen-agers. This kid doesn't behave like a grownup. He never does grownup things. He is like a kid. He's much too young for her. She sees him for Sena, but Sena doesn't stand a chance, because even though Yon Soo doesn't want him, she doesn't set him free.

I have to go now, but I'll be back.

Later emoticon
