Re: K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Hello BD Family emoticon

I found it interesting, yet no surprise that Sun Jae didn't dispute his doctor friend calling Yon Soo his girlfriend. He wishes!! It also annoys me that he thinks he's in charge of her life. He should be honest with her about her health issues. She is an adult and I don't understand why he thinks he has to lie to her to coerce her to get a medical exam of any kind. This exam is very important and she has a right to know what's going on. I'd be very angry if someone held the truth from me on such a serious issue.

I don't think the guy who owns the dive was out to hurt Sena initially. I do think Sena hurt herself with her behavior toward him. He had put up with her and her bad attitude for five years and from what I got he was happy for her success. I do understand her fear in thinking he might be there to take advantage of her situation, but she jumped the gun. She didn't give him a chance to say anything. Let's face it this guy is kind of an unsavory character, so his first instinct is to get even for her being so uppity. A major mistake on Sena's part.

I felt really badly for Min Chul when Yon Soo tagged along with Min Ji. He was embarrassed and angry for her to witness the change in their lifestyle. He really doesn't have energy or time for her right now, but that's his fault. He wants to be the same Min Chul he used to be for her. He doesn't like showing her how far down he's fallen. He knows it wouldn't matter to her, but it matters to him and he can't take it. He doesn't want her to have to live a different life than he'd planned originally. Remember the apartment/hotel? That's how he planned for their life to be, not this. If he could face reality as Yon Soo sees it, they'd be together and Yon Soo would be happy to live anywhere with him. That's not what he wants for her. I feel for both of them. emoticon

I'll be connected by tomorrow, so I'll be back. YAAAYYY!!!!

K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Good Morning BD,

That's good news smoochie! I could feel exactly what Minchul was feeling when he saw Yonsoo standing outside his house with Minji at that moment. Pure embarrassement and anger over the fact that his father was "missing" and Yonsoo is here witnessing the scene and the upheaval and chaos that their lives have become.
Minchul and Minji know that all he does is drink now and he will be drunk when they find him. And here is Yonsoo standing there. I could just look at Minchul's face and I knew what he was thinking.

I didn't like how Minji was slapping her father. She had to pull him along because he was staggering and not moving but the slapping I didn't go for. Minji is totally overwelmed and upset with her father. I don't blame her. It's only her and Minchul now and I think a lot of Sunchun's well being has fallen on her shoulders. Minchul is out everyday trying to get something going career wise. The household roles have been reversed and Sunchun seems to need constant watching. Minji is totally frustrated and angry.

I didn't think I could be any more annoyed with Sunjae but I am. He's appointed himself Yonsoo's guardian and in charge of her health. I can't help thinking how he can be so on his toes with Yonsoo's health but as a once studying medical student he didn't recognize his own mother's fragile mental health.

So he's read Yonsoo's health results. She has every right in the world to know her own results and that doctor is an idiot. Sunjae should have told Sena. Whatever you might think of Sena, it doesn't matter, she's still Yonsoo's sister and lives with her. What a joke, this Sunjae!

If Sunjae keeps Yonsoo uninformed, he keeps her by his side. He doesn't want her to worry so keeps it to himself? Balony! Her health is her business, not his. He gets to stay in her life this way. He's the only one who'll get to deal with it with her. He'll lend her his shoulder.
Later on in a future episode, Sunjae will so much as admit to Yonsoo that he gets to stay in her life this way. You know what I mean smoochie, it's when he administers her shots for her even though the nurse told her she must learn how to do it herself. So Sunjae keeps her dumb and dependent on him and she'll call him when she needs help. I'm getting ahead of myself here though.

Since Yonsoo has no parents, Sunjae should tell Sena and her best friend Narae about her test results and they should be told now. Narae then could inform Yonsoo and help her along the way. Sunjae is so wrong.

Hi BD Family emoticon

I'm still computer deprived, but I too want to say Happy Thanksgiving to my "family". I'm so miserable without a computer.

I don't know when I'll be up and running , but I really miss all of you guys. I'm at a relatives home and using his computer. I was laid off from work this week and I'm really computer deprived. I'll try to come on every couple of days until my computer is debugged. I'm getting close to buying a new one, if my computer isn't fixed soon.

Still watching BD and can't post until I have more time to do it.

I hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning,

Great stuff smoochie! I can see that you didn't lose your touch. I know how tough it was for you without your computer but at least you weren't drama deprived. Or LBH deprived or...LOL

I'm glad LBH will be starring in another TV drama soon and he'll even have a lover. What can be better than that though he's best with CJW and I know you agree.

Though Minchul has had his share of headaches, more is yet to come. Only when he gets the clue of what will be going on with Yonsoo will his real heartache begin. I'm not looking forward to it but there might be hope for these two yet. And I love to see Minchul in action.

I'll be back...

Re: K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Hello BD Family emoticon

Its been much too long! emoticon

I watched episode 20. I hope that's where we left off. Yon Soo is in a hospital bed and Sun Jae is telling her that the test she's going to take is a bone marrow test. This takes her by surprise. She knows what that means. Leukemia. He tells her he didn't tell her because he didn't want her to be distraught. He's sorry. So when exactly was he going to tell her?

Yon Soo tells him that she's heard the test is painful. Then she realizes how funny that is. She may have a disease in her body and she's worrying about the pain of the test. Plus, she apologizes to HIM for making him worry, when he has enough on his plate right now. Absurd, right? He lives to be in her business.

Min Chul is out and about trying to get his affairs in order and passes a gallery. In the window there's the painting that Yon Soo talked about to him when they were at a gallery after the business event they went to. She was all dressed up and beautiful and he was beautiful too. She told him how it reminded her of the family she wishes she had. That's what the painting represented to her and it was a favorite of her's. Seeing the painting in the window Min Chul was reminiscing about her.

Yon Soo is waiting for her test and gets a call from Narae, who wants to go to the hospital after work. Yon Soo tells her that's not necessary, Sun Jae'll be enough. Sena is overhearing this conversation and says she doesn't get Yon Soo. She tells Narae that now that Min Chul is gone is Sun Jae the substitute? She wants to know why she won't leave him alone, his heart's wounded over his mother. Why's she leading him on? Narae has no answer.

I'm with Sena on this. She can't know, or maybe she does, that he's the pursuer. Yon Soo on the other hand could tell him, "Thanks for all of your help, but I've got this now." I get that she needs someone by her side through this, but why not Narae?? She's willing. I think part of it has to do with Sun Jae's medical knowledge, plus he's so aggressive that she doesn't know where else to turn. Besides, no is never an option when it comes to Sun Jae. He never takes "No" for an answer.

Sun Jae's got the results and they're not good. Yon Soo's at home when he drops in. She asks if he's heard anything about the results yet. Should she go to the hospital to find out? He tells her that the doctor friend will call him as soon as the results are in. Yon Soo is trying to think positive, but isn't sleeping well. But, she's not hurting and if something was wrong she'd be hurting, right? He tells her if anything hurts her she's to tell him right away. I find it unconscionable for him to keep this information from her. I know how hard it would be to tell someone something so dire, but he should have let her get her own answers and he wouldn't have that burden. He could have comforted her after she got the news. To me that would be more appropriate.

He's decided that she shouldn't be alone and he'll stay with her until Sena and Narae get home. How nice of him! emoticon She tells him she's fine alone. His answer is that he's the one who doesn't want to be alone. Nice excuse, huh?

There's a lot more to this episode, but I've been out all day Christmas shopping and haven't had a bite of anything for a long time. I have so much more to say, but I can't say it now. A lot happens in this episode.

Its so great to be back. Its so great to have my computer. Its so great to have all of you to talk with. Its so great to have my shopping all done! emoticon

I still find Sun Jae overwhelming and a pain. I still feel sorry for Min Chul, Min Ji and Yon Soo. Min Chul thinks he has nothing to offer Yon Soo. Min Ji has lost a big sister and great support system. Yon Soo misses both of them and needs him right now, so its not true that he has nothing to offer her. His presence would be more than sufficient at this time.

I have to go now, but I'll be back. emoticon

Here's a new one. Just a little treat for all LBH fans. emoticon Click on it.

K-Drama (SBS): 아름다운 날들 (Beautiful Days)

Good Morning BD,

It's so good to have you back smoochie. Tonight I'll watch this episode again and report back tomorrow. Your shopping is all done, lucky you. I still have too much to do.

Sena has Yonsoo all figured out. Now that Minchul isn't there for her she leans on Sunjae. But it's not all Jonsoo's fault. Not by a long shot. Sena never seems to blame Sunjae for his coming on to Jonsoo. Sure she gets mad at him when she sees them together but Sena always puts it out there on Yonsoo's shoulders.

I can't get why with Yonsoo knowing her sister likes Sunjae, she would still pal around with him the way she does. Sick or no sick. Yonsoo is innocent in her feelings but it's just not right and I don't know why she doesn't get it. It's the same way she didn't "get it" when she did the same to Minchul and he would get angry. I know Sena doesn't deserve any compassion from Yonsoo with the way she has treated her but Yonsoo is a person who cares about others feelings, especially Sena's. Yet she misses the boat when it comes to Sena and Sunjae.

Right now in Yonsoo's world, she knows she's sick and though she hasn't chosen Sunjae to stay by her side, Sunjae is willing. Like I said before, he should clue Narae and Sena in so Narae could help and go through it with Yonsoo. He was once a wannabe doctor so I get his interference on the health issue part but only in explaining to her what's going on with her. Period. But he's not telling her what's going on with her. He wants her to tell him if she gets in pain. This to me is unforgivable. He has no business holding her health information back from her. Him wanting to spare her the agony of knowing is not his to make. Who is this guy? He's not her husband, boyfriend or father. He's not even her only friend. Her best friend is Narae. And she lives with Narae.
Sena is right about Yonsoo leading Sunjae on. But I knew this all along and Minchul thought so too way back when. Yonsoo on the other hand doesn't think like that. She's so innocent and naive that she doesn't see it.

The hospital doctor should have told Yonsoo about her results. How is it that Sunjae quits studying and has given his doctor internship up for music, yet this doctor still tells him all about Yonsoo's medical condition? Is the doctor Sunjae's friend? Is that legal to do? Sunjae is privy to someone else's medical records? Is Yonsoo not an adult? Is Sunjae her legal guardian or just a self appointed guardian?
The right thing for the doctor to have done even though he has this relationship with Sunjae is to call Yonsoo in to discuss her results in front of Sunjae since HIS wants seem to be so important here. I just find it inexcuseable.

I'll be back...

Good Morning BD Family emoticon

I thought I'd start the day off with a smile. Pretty, right?

Min Ji is learning how to iron, poor kid. She probably never knew how to hold an iron. Its not easy for a spoiled rich girl. You have to give it to her, she's game. Min Chul is watching her and sees her struggle. He offers to do it for her, but she says no. I have a feeling Min Chul would be good at it, because he's someone who would excel at whatever he tries. She tells him now she's his chef, coordinator and aide. She says she has to get used to work. You can see Min Chul is both proud of her willingness and sad for his little sister at the same time.

Min Ji tells him that she's surprised Yon Soo hasn't called her. She thought she'd have called her. Min Chul is quiet. Then he asks her not to call Yon Soo again. Min Ji tells him she doesn't know, but she doesn't think she can keep that promise. He gets serious with her. Min Ji's standing her ground about this. She tells him Yon Soo is her friend before she's his ex and there's no law that says she has to break ties with her. Besides she has no friends now. Yon Soo's the only one she can talk to. Min Chul says to talk to him. Men!! She says this is girl talk, she can't tell him. He says if she keeps calling Yon Soo it'll only stress her. Min Ji's sticking to her guns and tells him he's the one making things difficult. He's stopped arguing.

Min Ji's come a long way from the out of control, drunken girl, dancing on a table. I like very much how she's come along. She sees no problem with Min Chul and Yon Soo being together. Its his pride that's in the way, she know that and doesn't agree. She knows Yon Soo's heart and knows she'd be there with him no matter what. Min Chul is the one making things difficult, as Min Ji said. You have to feel sorry for Min Ji too. Seems like all of her "friends" were fair weather. Now that the money and prestige are gone they've seemed to vanish. She's young, so its probably a tough lesson, but valuable too. At the end of the day, Yon Soo is the person she trusts, second only to her brother.

There's so much more to say, but I can't say it now. So much happens in this episode.

I'll be back. emoticon
