Good Morning BD,
It's been a really good run, hasn't it? Emceema, thanks for following along with us and for the award. LOL Once I started watching I was totally hooked.
I agree, there is no way Minchul would give that box full of memories to Narae. His life with Yonsoo is in there, why would he agree to get rid of it? I was surprised that Yonsoo would even think something like that. If she should die, she thinks by doing this Minchul would be able to forget her and move on. No way, no how. And what's so wrong with memories anyway? They had good times together too.
Remember the trip to the beach Minchul took her on when he gave out a loud yell in the car as they drove along the water? He started to cough and it was pretty funny. Yonsoo thought so too. I still say that little scene was completely a spur of the moment thing. And later into the night in that little room...reminded me of Suky and Jongnam in their little room at the beach.
Smoochie, all we have to do is remember all the Minchul/Yonsoo hot moments and we could start posting all over again. LOL For instance, remember all the times Yonsoo stared at him? And he caught her?? And so began their relationship...
Narae was wonderful as a girlfriend and mother figure. She's the one you'd want to go to in time of trouble. And she's the one you'd want to be with to laugh. She was always there for Yonsoo and she tamed Sena. She got Yonsoo to the bridal shop where she joined her in trying on wedding gowns. Standing before the 3 way mirror and looking at each other and giggling was great. Who would have thought that was the perfect way to get Yonsoo to choose a gown and try it on for the fitting. This drama was full of incidents that always surprised me and made me think, I would have never thought of that. The writer did a very fine job.
I have to say that I love the photos of LBH wearing hats, he really does them justice. I loved him in The Good, The Bad, The Weird too. He's proven time and again that he's an A list actor. Doesn't get much better than him. All of the articles I read, the writers always mentions his expressive eyes. It's not just you and me smoochie, who have noticed. I can't wait for Iris but I'm really curious now what his next project will be. Maybe someday he will reunite on screen...or off screen with CJW. Until then, we have lots of his TV dramas and movies to watch.

Smoochie, I love the hat look like the picture you posted, that last large picture. I call it the gangster look, you know, you've seen him wearing the shoulder holster with the hat and maybe suspenders. It's one of my favorite looks for him. And he can sure pull it off. I'm sure he doesn't go around like that, LOL but I've seen him countless times dressed like this for his movies or just posing. It's my favorite hat look along with when he wears those caps.

Good Morning BD,
The day has arrived and Sunchun has come to the hospital. He's thinking about his daughter-in-law today. Yonsoo is lying on a gurney just outside her room and is being wheeled to the operating room. At her side and all around her are a doctor and nurse, Minchul, Narae, Minji, Sena and Sunjae. Sunchun watches and looks very concerned and worried. I really wish he would join them, but that's just me.
Yonsoo is still awake and Narae tells her to come back with the treasure. Yonsoo gives her a smile. Sena tells her she must be strong while Sunjae tells Yonsoo not to worry, it'll be fine.
Yonsoo turns her face towards Minchul and looks at him. The doctor begins wheeling the gurney again with all the others still around Yonsoo's side. Sunjae stops them and tells Yonsoo that from here, "go with Minchul."
The little group then stands back and watch Yonsoo being taken away. Sunchun is still standing in the background watching too.
As the doctor walks leading the gurney, Minchul's hand is holding onto Yonsoo's hand as he walks with her. They never take their eyes off each other. Yonsoo smiles at Minchul and he gives her a small smile. The walk to the operating room is so long.
Minji has lots of tears and Sunjae is standing next to his sister, his hand on her shoulder. Sena and Narae stand next to them, all watching Yonsoo being wheeled down the hall.
The first set of doors open and Yonsoo and Minchul still have not taken their eyes off each other. Minchul goes past the doors with Yonsoo and they're walking through another shorter hallway. They give each other a small grin. The camera close up catches Minchul's hand tightening on Yonsoo's hand.
Now at the entrance to the operating room, this is as far as Minchul is allowed to go. The doctor stops for Minchul to say a few words to his wife. He tells Yonsoo he will be right here, waiting. She nods her head. Minchul tells her he won't go anywhere. Yonsoo is looking deep into his eyes but doesn't nod. His eyes widen a little when he again tells her not to forget, he will be waiting for her. He wants her to be very clear about that, he's not going anywhere. It's another way for him to let her know that everything will be alright and she will come out of it fine and he will wait right here for her to come back to him. Yonsoo now nods her head yes.
Both Yonsoo and Minchul's eyes are getting red and tearing up. She slowly places her hand on the side of his face, she touches his nose, his lips, his face all over. Tears are now rolling down Yonsoo's face. Minchul's eyes are so red and he can't hold back his tears.
Yonsoo takes her husband's hand and runs it over her face, her lips, very slowly. Yonsoo wants him to remember the feel of her. They never stop looking at each other. Through his tears, Minchul tells Yonsoo "I love you." As she's wheeled away, she tells him she loves him too and Minchul again tells her he loves her.
The camera closeup zooms in on their clasped hands as they very slowly let go of each other as Yonsoo is wheeled away. If this isn't a love story I don't know what is. As Yonsoo is taken from him, they both watch each other until she is out of sight. Minchul, left standing all alone, doesn't move. He puts his hand over his face, he's so full of emotion he can't move.
After the doors close Minchul is left there standing alone. What do you think smoochie? They've captured LBH...Minchul from his back. Does he have broad shoulders or what?? No skinny legs for him. He's built! I think this guy works out. Well, as a matter of fact, I know he works out. Just look at him!
Minchul standing in the same spot, hangs his head, closes his eyes. He stays like that. When he opens his eyes he swallows hard. He will wait here alone between the two doors. He wants to be alone. He will wait right here for as long as it takes for Yonsoo to come back to him. And she will come back to him. He knows it in his heart. Just like he told her. He will stand there alone with his thoughts. Minchul leans against a wall and waits...
I have to say the acting in this scene is tops. Hardly any words spoken and those that were said are taken directly from the heart. The important stuff. Minchul telling Yonsoo he will wait right there lets her know he expects her to come right back to him. He expects nothing less. When at one point she doesn't nod her head for him, he says it again and his eyes widen a bit as he nods his head, waiting for acknowledgment from her to understand what he is saying and in a sense, ordering. She is not to leave him now. She gets it. Such splendid acting!
I think this little hospital scene is the last time we see Minji and Sunchun. I'm glad that Sunchun came to the hospital out of his concern but it's sad that he has become a sort of outcast. He stays alone and doesn't mingle. The only reason I can see for that is it's because of Sunjae. Enough already. The man's paid a heavy price.

Thanks for doing that scene Jasy. I didn't want to do it. 
I agree that Sunchun should have been among them. If anyone didn't need to be there it was Sun Jae. I know he's part of the family, but Sunchun belonged there more than he did. They've become a family, Sunchun, Min Ji, Min Chul and Yon Soo. When nobody noticed they gelled through everyday living. He wanted to wish his daughter in law well. He's not the Sunchun of long ago and he's had to see Yon Soo for the kind, loving girl she is. They could have both been there, but if it could only be one of them, it should have been Sunchun. Sun Jae should have been the one to back out of there.
Yon Soo wants to leave Min Chul with an impression of her face and she takes an impression of Min Chul's face with her. Both of them are scared beyond belief, but if they weren't hopeful this might work, they wouldn't have done it. Yet, they know the risks involved.
This was Yon Soo's decision and Min Chul is there to support her and offer hope and love. I'll bet Min Chul tried praying again leaning against the wall in this scene. The first time he tried was when he prayed for Yon Soo to be healthy and for her to have no more tears. The day he proposed to her. This time he's praying for her very life. He'll eventually get better at it, thanks to Yon Soo and his love for her.
The acting in this scene? What can I say about the acting in this scene? Again, not too much said and yet it leaves you with a lump in your throat. You know without a doubt that Min Chul has a lump in his throat and he conveys that to us. Watching this all you see is a husband and wife who love each other and a desperate situation, where both are trying to be brave. They try really hard not to let the other see their raw fear and it almost worked, except we're watching and we see it. The acting is the same as always, stellar.
We're almost at the end now and I'm not sure I can let it go yet. I still want to see Yon Soo and Min Chul live happily. Like it or not we're almost done.
Oh yes Jasy, LBH works out.  You can see it when he's fully clothed or like this.
