I want to come- but I'm horrible with sense of direction. I've never driven past LAX- All my activities are south 405.I live in Long Beach.
I will try to look it up on mapquest/or their website-getting lost in LA is not my dream adventure-meeting this group would be worth the risk,though.

I've been to the Gallery and the video store. It's a really nice place, lots of stores I didn't get to check out. I have really wanted to get back there.

Wouldn't it be fun if there was a "drama" pub where we could watch the last episode together? Maybe drink some soju and call our driver to take us home in the wee hours?

CantGetEnough: Yep! the menus are in english also they have pictures of the dishes.
Hyena: I am not sure if I will be driving up or taking the train. It is so easy for me to take the train. I live between two stations. They are both close.
The trip to Union station takes about 40 min. The subway ride to Wilshire/Western takes about 12 min. I get either MetroLink or Amtrak to Union Station - The red line to the end which is Wilshire/Western. Come out of the subway turn 180 degrees and start walking south on Wilshire. 4 block and there you are. I must tell you the 4 block walk is not bad GOING TO the plaza. It is down hill. HOWEVER, after eating it is a health walk back UP to Western.
A side note here: If you have not taken the red line before, it branchs off, so you have to make sure you get the Wilshire/Western train. The other branch goes up to Hollywood and Vine. The subway is clean.
Sherlee: That was my orignal though was to watch the last episode together. When we do this again, that would be a great idea.
I am really looking forward to meeting everyone.

WALK SOUTH ON WESTERN not Wilshire (Wilshire runs east/west Western runs north/south
PS My son will tell you that I would get lost in a plastic bag with a road map.

A pre-gathering spot is a good idea. But would still need some type of identification if anyone needs to come late after we're seated. Question - will 1 o'clock (lunch time) be too crowded for us to find enough seats together? Should we make it a little later, like 2:30? Just something to think about when you put together the final arrangements. Otherwise, 1 is good for me, too.
For those thinking of taking the subway - buy the all day pass. The same ticket is good for buses, too - so a bus ride up the hill won't be so bad. Not sure if this includes the train.
Addie - I'm in North Hollywood. I know you said you may have your class earlier, but thought we might go together, though I was thinking of taking the subway. Of course, if we go shopping, a car WOULD come in handy. We can talk privately when it gets closer and you know for sure about your class. If you think you'll have plans afterwards, then don't worry about it. I'm use to taking the subway by myself.
