Re: K-Drama Fan Meetings! (Post, Discuss, and Arrange)
Sundays are best for me since I work Sat.-if a Sat is the agreed upon day, I need at least two weeks to put in a request at work. I would so love to meet with my Kdrama family. And since those from OC are planning to take the train, may I go with you? Pooka, I was looking at the bus book-were you talking about the Fullerton Transportation center where people taking the bus can catch either Amtrak or Metrolink? (the Fullerton park and ride area, only Metrolink is available). I am from Costa Mesa, and I do have to take the bus (daughter has my car now) since its actually more convenient. Please let me know whicih one it is.

Re: K-Drama Fan Meetings! (Post, Discuss, and Arrange)
Hi Everyone,
I just got back online. My puter parts talked to one another and they all decided to fail, from motherboard right down to my dvd player.
I have metrolink and amtrak schedule and when I get back from vation I will post what I can. Yes, it would be fun and all we need to do is pick a train, meet at the stations (love cell phones) and we get on the red line from union station and we are on our way with not freeway hassels. Just need to be sure of the week end schedule for both metro link and amtrak.
More later,
M's

Re: K-Drama Fan Meetings! (Post, Discuss, and Arrange)
Curly Carrot: I’m so sorry. I was just going through the posts from others to see what day was easiest for the majority (Sat/Sun). I see that the Cultural Center isn’t open on Sundays.
So I guess that means, if we want to visit the Center, we need to pick a Saturday. Also, I do not believe the Center provides ‘group tours’ on Saturday, although they are open. It sure would be nice to have a tour guide for us.
Ok, let’s pick a Saturday (is that ok w/all?)… It looks like May is out because of the holiday and some people needed a couple weeks to notify their jobs in order to go on a Saturday.
Saturday June 7, 14, 21, 28
I’m available for any of the Saturdays in June.

Re: K-Drama Fan Meetings! (Post, Discuss, and Arrange)
Thanks, pooka for clarifying. June 21st sounds good (summer break will have started for the kids-and school or sports activities are totally done) or any Saturday after that. I switched my availability at work to Sundays, too, but if we pick a Sunday, I can take that day off. I am excited!

Re: K-Drama Fan Meetings! (Post, Discuss, and Arrange)
nsheldon, you are correct. The cultural center is open on Saturdays but they only provide guided tours M-F. Closed on Sunday. It is still an interesting place to visit. I have sent an email to Josh Choi, who heads up the film club and all things pertaining to film at the KCCLA to see if he would consider meeting us there on Saturday for a mini tour...(he's a great guy who moved here to LA from LIverpool just a short while ago.) He will be in Korea the beginning of June but perhaps he can accommodate us on the 21 or the 27th of June.
As far as restaurants go, there are many to choose from however we will have to consider the # of people that will be using public transportation.
Games incorporated into the day are always fun...
