Lex, thanks so much for posting the pictures from the gathering! I think I can spot myself (or my shirt, at least, LOL!) in the first picture. I'm getting ready to help cook that Korean barbecue! emoticon

I would love to join the party but alas it is not possible for me. therefore hearing about the fun and seeing the photos is wonderful.

Ah, I think the two ladies you saw in the pictures were guests of Margaret (Tankersparks) who are also very interested in Japanese and Korean dramas. Margaret mentioned earlier in this topic that the two ladies are sisters, and that she works with one of them. Hopefully they will join us here at CJK sometime! emoticon

I was delinquent in that respect , I forgot to even bring my camera emoticon

I , and others , had such a good time !! I do not think it is too early to start planning the next
one - ( we could be like the Rose Parade and start the day after the event - LOL )

I think there are two important details to be settled :

Where - I believe it "LA's " turn . I have a question . Does LA only mean Koreatown , or could it be anywhere in LA City proper ? For example - is the San Fernando Valley / Glendale too far ??

When - so far we have been enjoying these gatherings once a year . Is that enough , or would everyone want to make it more often ?

One idea I had for the fall was in November - we could go "Holiday Shopping in Koreatown " I am blessed to have many Korean friends who could tell us /take us to all the fun stores .

BTW , I think we should invite members of the Jdrama and Cdrama boards as if if they would like to come .
All would be welcome .

Just a few thoughts I wanted to throw out ....
