I just watched the bonus dvd that came with Super Rookie. It was so awesome. Why can't all K-Drama box sets come with something like this? The bloopers, interviews, best of clips, specials, music video was all great.

Interesting things I learned from the bonus dvd:
-They were planning to have sung-tae commit suicide due to his problems, but due to the popularity of the character, they rewrote his script to live.
-Final episode was filmed and aired on the same day. Is this common in Kdramas? Are they usually airing in the same day they film or was this a special occassion?

Also Min looks/acts so different from his character. I was surprised!

Super Rookie, your idea to make an index is awesome! Do you have any ideas of how it should look? I think that you are a naturally gifted organizer. Would you like to create it? Plus, I still don't my dvds yet. If you have yours do you think it would be worthwhile to give a schedule of what days we will discuss which episode? I'm afraid I still don't know how to edit an already posted post. How do I do that?

I'm not really sure, I mean, something simple might work where you can just make Index of topic in bold. Then below it you just put the title of what we're watching and the page range? Simple but efficient?

Well I did see Ep 1 tonight it was the usual get to meet and know a bit about the characters. For anyone who watches Hometown Station/A Place To Call Home you will reconize Hawja playing Kang Hee's mom and The police captain's wife playing June Hee's mom. I did like the first episode and hope the show can live up to the reviews I have read here and there. So far I like June Hee (the little girl who has to smuggle out the food) and The General , even if he is a bit harsh he is trying to save the citizens of his town. It is interesting to see the war from the Korean point of view, my Dad was there for a year in the Army and I have heard a lot of stories from him. Well I hope we all enjoy this one.

I'm just finishing episode 1 . I know it's a lot of character introduction and backstory ,but I'm already fascinated .I think we're really going to enjoy it.
I ran out of time today ,but my problem will be to stick to only one ep. per day !

Okay, I'll admit it! I missed something important and you guys have to explain it to me. The Chinese are coming. I thought Gen. Kim wanted to evacuate the town to save the civilians. The Americans didn't want him to because that would give away the the fact that the Am. and Korean armies are retreating to the South side of the Han. So instead he gathered the whole town in one place for the fashion show and then let the Korean army start its retreat while the Chinese begin bombing the town? I'm confused.

In the meantime I really like it, I love getting the war background and some sense of the privation the people had to go through then. I want to hate Kang-Hee's mother but know that people had to do terrible things to stay alive and to keep their children alive.
The music is so quirky, like the rap song when the boy and the cloth cutter were running across the bridge and fell into the river, and then beautiful movie-soundtrack music as Dong-Young leaves in the helicopter.
