Believe it or not, I'm a little ahead so hopefully I keep it all straight while I comment. Poor girls! The shooting scene was very sad. Only Koreans could make such a sad movie involving children. At least they didn't make all the white soldiers evil. I am so relieved we are in the 70s now! The 50s were just too depressing. The only thing that's going to drive me bananas is if the girls end up doing a fake identity Secret thing for too many episodes. I was surprised that the Taeul president's daughter looks so much like the younger Jun Hee and that Jun Hee turned out to be less attractive as an adult and looks more like Kang Hee!

Well , I do like the story ,but have fallen behind in my viewing .This weekend has been impossible,but I will catch up and post more.
It usually hard to get into a new series after we finish one we really like.
That reminds me ,I need a copy of MNIKSS !

Addie04, I agree completely. These miniseries are just long enough to feel as if the characters are family! Once it ends and I don't see these people everyday I feel well, shim shim heh (lonesome.) That's why it's so hard for me to accept a new miniseries. It's almost like having to say goodbye to the friends you're used to, meeting strangers, and having to get used to them as your new friends.

SR, I'm at the beginning of episode 6 so I think what I discussed was episode 5. I hope I didn't spoil anything!!

Oh man I almost always have post-drama let down so I know just what you guys are talking about.

So tonight inbetween medicatating my cat I saw Eps. 4 and 5. Man I couldn't belive all of the stuff that happened in ep.4. JH's dad almost found her and KH's mom killed that chick who took all of her money and went to jail! The scene when the girls got shot was so sad, I just kept wanting it to end. I hate the fact that both Kang hee and her mom know that Jun hee is alive and never told her dad. Poor Jun Hee is forced to live Kang Hee's life. At least both of the boys and Chang Bong Sil know that "Jun Hee" is not who she says she is. At the end Jun Hee (or whatever her name is now) meets grown up DY.
Ep. 5==Now we have met grown DY and JH. The fake JH is now trying to be a model for Chang Bong Sil. Poor JH is stuck with KH's mom on that island and is trying to leave before she has to marry the weird police officer. Well things are starting to pick up now. And Buppy I also thought they had mixed up the actresses who are playing the adult JH and KH!! The casting director must have made a mistake!LOL!

Completely agree with you addie/pooka, this was and his hard to get into, but... I'm glad we decided to go with this instead of MNIKSS, just in case because Super Rookie might diminish how good MNIKSS might be. ;) But I remember being so let down after FWG ended, but after 2-3 episodes of Ruler of Your Own World I started to love it. Phoenix and Prince's First Love, I did not suffer through that postdrama issues though, I loved both from the very first minute!

Back to Fasion 70s. I just watched episodes 4 and 5 last night to catch up, then I couldn't stand to wait, so I watched episode 6 last night also. Just wow! People who were starting to give up on this drama need to either rewatch intently or jump back in cause episodes 4-6 were awesome and had a lot of good story details. This series is starting to hit its stride.

So, prior to seeing the show I was confused, as like pooka said, the grown up version of fake jun hee, looked like the real jun-hee before, so my preconception was this new rich kid was going to be the focus of the show. I'm glad I was mistaken! Cause I'm rooting for the real jun-hee (with long hair) Like buppy said, I immediately thought the Secret syndrome. Kang hee's mother, as if I wasn't annoyed enough with her before, read my prior posts on the topic if you've forgotten. emoticon

But first she does all that stealing that puts both families into the situation they are in, now she's the only one who knows the truth that both kang hee and jun hee are alive and now switched with each parents - yet she stays silent and ruins jun-hee's life. I'm annoyed with her! I appreciate the dedication and love she has for kang hee, and the love she is giving towards jun-hee, but that does not take away from the years of misery jun-hee has had to endure! Not to mention jun-hee's father thinks she's dead for no reason.

Speaking of secret, did anyone notice the evil sister from Secret was in episode 2 or 3? She was in that town where jun hee and kang he escaped to as refugees - she was walking around on the streets and saw jun-hee wearing that board with information about her and her family. She looks so different now!

Chang bong sil and her "cutter" guy, why do they look younger now? I think this was in ep 5 where they were doing that cat walk rehearsal. Chang bong looks so much younger now with her contemporary outfit. ;)

One thing that I didn't find believable was when both girls were shot. Both were split up? That makes little sense. Even though Kang hee wandered off a little, she was still shot too. It's not like she was able to travel 10 miles away - Both were close enough to each other in/within the army base confines. Evidently both were saved, so wouldn't they have been brought to the same medical facility at one point? Also this base was the same one where DY's father was running. I don't know, just seems like a lot of story holes here, especially since they just fast forwarded it, which probably saved their behinds from trying to piece together a complicated explanation of the above comments.

Anyway, the 70s are kicking this series into high gear, and I'm really enjoying this one more and more. I'm hooked. Loved the cinematography from eps 4-6 also!

I am catching up quickly to you all,just finished ep 4 > I could n't believe that both girls lived .I thought for sure JiEun IE died .It was so ironic that the parents found each others child >dongying is all grown up now ,and JiEunie saw him ( I recognized the character by her eyebrows ) What a back story !!

I have every intention of seeing this series through > in fact ,it is fascinating .I will try to watch 5 & 6 tomorrow and totally catch up to the rest of the group .

I must say I generally prefer romantic comedies ,but this is a good story .What is the name of the other girl -Kangi ? The names of the characters are in chinese on min,so I have just been listening for the names .I don't have any other complaints about the subtitles.
Well,gotta go catch BB

Ep. 6. We meet grown up Peen who is always in trouble with the law, and still at odds with his mom. Now if BB were here you know she would have commented on his "changing into his clothes in the rain" scene so I will throw that in for her. I like the fact that Peen still reminds "Jun-Hee" that she is a fake. So now she is in love with DY who hated her as a child (remember her and her mom stold his mom's ring). DY in the mean time meets KH on the island and seems to have taken a liking to her. Her "mom " has still been keeping tabs on JH by saving newspaper articles and such. DY does give JH the application for KH before he is taken away by the CIA guys, I can only imagine what he is being set up for. Well I can't wait for tonight I am glad we have moved along at such a quick pace now. I can't wait till KH gets off of that island and just how long will it take for someone to figure out who she is?!
