Always Current Discussions of Different K-Dramas: K-DRAMA VIDEO CLUB!
omigosh, this is so good that now I'm a day ahead! But I'll only talk about current episodes. Poor KH, she continues to slowly implode! Every episode she gets more pieces stacked onto her load and you just wonder when and how she'll snap. That crazy boozin' mom, how can she keep all her lies straight? And both our boys got shot - both??? what the heck?

Couldn't they just phone Pres Joong Iyn with the information? I don't understand why they had to give him a piece of paper and risk their handsome little necks?? It wasn't like the fact they were giving him an envelope was a secret! That shoot out was pretty exciting though!
Honestly, I am really hating Kang Hee's mom. SHe is so heartless and selfish. What a character! If there was ever a more godless, amoral character in any novel, TV show or movie she is definitely it!

Re: Always Current Discussions of Different K-Dramas: K-DRAMA VIDEO CLUB!
I had a problem with Episode 21 for about the first 10 min: the disc kept stalling or skipping .I didn't miss anything ,but thank good ness it settled down .I 'm always glad with a big multidisc set when there isn't a major problem .
Where do I begin ? I feel sorry for everyone ,except of course KangHee's oma .The real JunHee's dad even brought the nun in to identify the woman, she still denied it.She is such an accomplished liar !
DY & Bin .SIGH> at least they're ok,but I still am worried about Bad Boy Bin .For some reason,I just love him ! I'm yelling @ the screen -Try the acupuncture ! I sure wish the surgeon could act !
Anyway ,this is one of the best shows I've seen .I think we're on to something really great >I forgot who said they don't watch KXLA cuz of the editing.I do watch one daily drama - Bizarre bunch - but I avoid all the 40 min ones. When I found out they trimmed 60 min down to 40 w/ commercials, I gave up .Here we have the best of all worlds. We pick the stories ,no commercials ,no editing !
I made myself stop, but I have a feeling tomorrow's ep is going to be reslly something !!!!! What a cliffhanger ending to this one .Does DY know?

Addie! crack me up! I was yelling at the TV - you dumb white doctor, you're in Hong Kong! Send him for acupuncture! I love Peen, too. Thanks for your astute observation that KH has never really felt confident or secure, that seems like a key to her behavior now and going forward. She's both defending and going on the offensive.
I keep forgetting to say what a great job I think they did casting actors who appear such a convincing father and son as DY and the General. I love their scenes together.

Fashion 70s episode 21 and 22
Lol that doctor from hong kong. Another case of bad acting by americans/europeans in K-Dramas. I love it! I'm becoming masochistic. ;)
Episode 21 was another extremely enjoyable one!
Great recap pooka. I'm happy to see both DY and Peen made it out safely. I think the whole Peen thing with his arm was an extreme exagerration though. I mean I know it sucks what happened with his arm, but at least he made it out alive! What did he expect from taking on a mission this dangerous. It's better to lose usage of something like that than his eyes, ears or legs.
Does anyone know the music that plays during the early part of the episode during the gun fight? I have heard this music in other places for a long time now. So I'm wondering if they licensed the music from elsewhere? The music I'm talking about starts at ( 27 seconds ) it comes in with that Choir, strings and synths. I know I've heard this piece elswhere in American tv but I can't put my finger on it. I want to find it badly.
Anyway going on with the rest of the episode..... Kang Hee's bad side is starting to manifest itself. She's jealous that Tumy (Jun Hee) is getting everything. First Dong Young, then now is getting the accolades from Chang Bong Sil, and now possibly the father.
The mother is now caught red handed as now Dong Young knows, and the nun as well pointed her out.
I liked the scene where Tumy visits the Minister (DY's father). He was actually nice to her this time.
As pooka said, the episode comes to a climactic finish when DY sees the paperwork identifying (Kang Hee's mother) who took the real Jun Hee.
Episode 22
I watched this a few hours earlier than normal. Skip this if you haven't seen ep 22 yet!
And as if you thought things couldn't get better, episode 22 does. I love all the goings on in this episode. Dong Young goes to find the real Jung Hee/Tumy. He tells the father to be patient a little while longer. He decides not to tell her once he realizes who Tumy really is.
Things are heating up in the Chang Bong Sil Ensemble, as both Kang Hee and Tumy got a tie for the Osaka fashion show debut. Chang Bong sil will debut both of them together as well!
DY takes Tumy to Deagu and after a lot of pain, she finally remembers the past happenings! Major climactic moment there. However... She doesn't want anyone to know...she doesn't want to bring pain to her mother and kang hee. Why is it with all these Kdramas anytime the real daughter is robbed of something, once the truth comes out...they don't want to act on that truth? Instead they always keep thinking of others or less imporant figures. In this case Tumy is not thinking about her father. I know she loves Kang Hee's mother but what about the pain her father has endured for 17 years or what he could endure for the rest of his life? Her father will probably look for her or remain restless for his entire life or may die from heartache due to not fulfilling JH's real mother's death wish of finding JH... Is this fact being lost by the story writers or even Tumy from her point of view? Why is all the injustice by others always glossed over by the heroes or heroines of Kdramas...they never want to claim what is rightfully theirs.
Throughout this whole episode Kang Hee is feeling hurt and in my opinion is acting like a spoiled child. She feels rejected by both her parents, but she's still only thinking of herself.
I'm happy to see Mr. Ko's right hand man is acting as the voice of reason in the series. Ko is starting to relent and wondered what about Kang hee, then the assistant reminded him, what about the real Jun Hee who had lost out from his love for almost 2 decades. I forgot which episode this happened in, so this is sorta a random comment from me.
The end of ep 22 was sad. Since Tumy remembered all what had happened in the past, she was feeling sad that she missed Kang Hee, she also gave her a hug...and the episode finished.
The preview to the next episode was actually one of the rare bloopers. I think we've only seen this once or twice before. I love these blooper scenes! I wish like the super rookie box set we got bloopers/extras.
Anyway I can't wait to see episode 23 tomorrow night. We have only 6 episodes to go. I don't want this magical experience to end!
