Always Current Discussions of Different K-Dramas: K-DRAMA VIDEO CLUB!

Right, right, right. At the beginning KH said she loved DY but she loved her father more, and that was repeated a few times. And she was never able to see - I think, understandably - that Toumy's entrance didn't change their father's feelings for her (KH). And that was more of DY's "selfishness" - he carried this obligation from childhood of the unfulfilled promise to the dead little girl. He had always loved little Jun Hee as a boy, and she loved him and called him oppa even then. He had to take on the search. His father asked, Have you thought of how this search, if successful, will effect KH? In his guilt, his inability to have predicted the outcome (and change course) would become monumental in his mind.

This one reminds me of Phoenix in that it's two days later and it can still make me cry just to think about it!

I thought this was a really dramatic series, but maybe I'm becoming more hardened now as I've been watching these K-Dramas but so far I don't think any series has taken me to that edge that Phoenix and Ruler of Your World have in terms of the depth of sadness or even tears (plus we guys aren't allowed to get misty eyed! LOL).

Still, a superb show this was.

buppy whenever you get the chance could you update your index posting on page 1 about this running up to page 19. MNIKSS will probably begin on page 19 as well, unless we post in a flurry today. But just a friendly reminder about that if you can do this sometime on the weekend when our page #s are verified (when we actually move onto the MNIKSS portion).

I am glad we have a couple of days between series . Before we close the book on Fashion 70's ,I'd like to just say that it was an incredible story .The acting was really ,really good .The story took some incredible twists & turns ,(we were on quite a roller coaster for the past few episodes )
The scenery on the island was so beautiful ,I could really see myself planning a trip to Korea someday . Of course ,it would be more fun if the club could come with - Hey ! Maybe we could get a small part in a Kdrama! Somebody stop me if I'm as bad as the doctor in Hong Kong ....and what about the American couple in PFL ?.......but I digress.
The soundtrack was really excellent . I'm sure as time passes , I'll enjoy it more & more >

I can see myself seeing again in a few months . Great show -good choice .

I am SO glad we're doing a comedy next ,and hope we will alternate between dramas & comedies in the future. I guess time will tell >

I agree with your assessment of Fashion 70s. Just curious--Did you by chance see The Bali Story (aka) What Happened in Bali? I felt the same way as you with Bali, Phoenix and ROYW.

Ooops! Don't know how a double post occurred. Sorry!

On a light note, I just came back from shopping at Banana Republic, Anthropologie, Gap, H&M, Macy's, and Urban Outfitters and laughed all day at the familiarity of the Spring clothes and shoes. Not only do they look like the costumes from F-70s, a lot of them are identical to items from my own 1970-74 closets. Toumy could have dressed herself for years in all the crocheted tops available right now at retail!

Not yet! We were considering watching Bali right after our 2 week viewing of MNIKSS that starts tomorrow. But we could not find anywhere that sold it at a decent price with at least good subtitles. So we're going to watch Green Rose right after.

Many of us, myself included want to see Bali very soon though!

Also around what time on Saturday night are you all watching MNIKSS? I will try to watch it around the same time and come on here to make a post. emoticon
