Hello captiva and fellow members ^_^

I have just rewatched the first episode. The show makes you feel embarrassed and and sad in the beginning.

I felt so bad for her when she tripped at the hallway. Esp infront of my ex. The bf is so evil ... Sam Soon was the victim and he can turn it around saying she stalked him, making him sound so innocent!

I found it surprising the director didn't reshoot the scene where the girl clapped ... it was interesting as she was so excited and then slowly looked around and stop clapping LOL one of my ideas was the girl was rooting for Jyun Woo. But i think the director left it there ... as an interesting mascot or something or the emotion of the scene was there so reshoot may not have such a smiliar result.... or he didn't noticed! -_-"

The bathroom scene ... it is a classic! Jin Hun is such an ass (good and bad way). I think he was tryin to be nice in a way although he acted a bit of meanie there.

In the interview, her explanation on how a book she picked determined her career ... it would be funny envisioning her taking care of baby chickens. hehehe
I really enjoyed his spaced out look as he listens to her words ... it's so sweet!. emoticon

This is a captivating episode. It makes you want more! I couldnt stop watching the drama after the first one.

I just read up and saw the first episode. I enjoyed it! Great to come back to a light hearted drama after the total gravity and heavy emotional rollercoaster I've been experiencing from our last series Fashion 70s, and also my current watching of Emperor of the Sea which is getting incredibly dramatic as well - so this was a great change of pace!

My first question is from the get go, which Hotel was that filmed at? Does anyone know? I love the production values in this one. All the scenes so far looks quite wonderful.

Sam Soon looks so different from what I remember of her from the MBC awards.

The first episode was dotted with lots of hilarious scenes. Like the one where she got her hair stuck, and also Heon's arguement with his mom. That one was funny.

Speaking of that kitchen scene. Does anyone remember both chefs in the Hotel and the one working at Heon's restaurant. I know I've seen them somewhere before. Is the Hotel chef the big-shot partner who was in the merger in Phoenix? What about the Chef at Heon's, he looks so familiar but I can't quite place it at this moment?

I wish the YesAsia box set kept true to the roots, swearing and all. It might have been more interesting. But I have to say the quality of these subtitles are superb. Much better than our regular box set viewings, no?

As a typical guy, my first impression so far though is this series seems to be one of the most slanting towards the female audience as I've yet seen in a K-Drama. Are my impressions of the series based on this first episode inaccurate in this regard?

I'm highly entertained so far. So much so that I'm asking was the first episode 50-60 minutes long? It felt like it was around half an hour. The first episode sped through!

Can't wait to see episode 2.

Ah now I remember why I loved this the first time around!!! I just saw this a couple of months ago and I am seeing so much more in it this time.

The begining just kills me , she is so fantastic! I love her dramatic monologue as she is falling and the look on the cheaters' face!

Jin Heon just comes out of the gates as a big jerk! His speach to her in the bathroom just makes you want to smack him. Oh but he is so cute you just can't. Ok ladies we get our swimming/shower scene we have all talked about so many times!!

Why can't he get better swim shorts...but I digress as usual. Also he looks like a Korean Jack Skellington in that striped suit! I have a Jack sitting above my tv and I just kept comparing them! LOL!

We get to meet Mom and crazy Aunt, I love how the Aunt just ignores his mom beating the crap out of him on the elevator as he just giggles. Also we got to see one of our favorite American actors "Mr. Rosemon"(from Phoenix) playing Chris the pastry chef I am glad to see he still hasn't learned to act and is reading the cue cards again!

I the kitchen scene just shows how great they play off of each other, they are like a Korean Hepburn and Tracy! Ok I may be stretching it a bit, but they really do work well together. Now they will be together on a daily basis so the sparks (good and bad) will fly! Sam Soon is so funny sizing up her new male co-workers. "Mama will give you lots of loving" is a great line!

On the plane we meet Hee-jin and find out she has been away for 3 years and her seatmate is also returing after her divorce. If that guy was upset for them being drunk on a plane he would hate me that is the only way I can fly!

Well we are off and running it only gets better from here ..... I can't wait for more fun!!!

Ok, so my guess was right about Rosemon, he grew a beard and looks thinner in this one. emoticon

What about the other chef at Heon's restaurant. He looks so familiar. Was he in Phoenix or Prince's First Love?

Like I said ,it's going to be hard to only watch ONE episode per day during this series ...but I will keep to the schedule. I recognized the actor who is the Korean chef ,too-and I haven't seen Super Rookie yet >

I almost saw a spoiler (I think) about one of the last episodes at the soompi thread! (I'm trying to not think about it and forget what it was... ;)). I'll go back and read some of that thread after we finish viewing this.

GL-ah, you will need to look up Two Guys with Cha Tae Hyun for that other actor. I'm not certain, but that is who I thought he was when I first saw him appear on the screen (CTH's co-star in the movie).

I have to add it was so refreshing to see the mascara running down her face. That's how it is in real life even if it's waterproof!
