Ep 4:
Tonight we start off with SS's crazy dream that all the chicks in the resturant are tying to beat her up because she is dating JH. JH makes it worse for SS buy giving her flowers for their 100 days celebration in front of the whole crew and giving a sappy speech. They try to narrow down who the spy is.

The fancy bakery scene was great I loved when SS tell JH who doesn't eat sweets "What joy do you have in your life?" and he responds "The joy of torturing you." JH finally reconizes HW is SS's ex and gives that great speech about his new gf SS and how wonderful she is. After the really touching scene in the train station when she tells JH what she thinks of love and relationships, they end up in that private dvd room. Hearing all of the other people was so funny.

All of the ladies let out a big sigh as we see JH sing to his sweet little niece Mi-Joo at 5am. Oh my!!! It just shows there is a bit of warmth in that heart of his! Of course Hee Jin shows up when he is playing their song. I swear Over The Rainbow, My Funny Valentine, Fly me To The Moon , And I Love Her So must be the cheapest songs to license in Korea!! We have to hear them in every drama!! LOL!! Hee Jin acts like everything should just pick up from where they left it 3 yrs ago ....... hmmmm I don't think sooooo

Yes, him singing to Mi-Joo was touching. And thank you for pointing out the bus seat again. I didn't think about it until now. Speaking of lost, I had to explain the story so far to DH when we went out for dinner last night. I think he's even worse about paying attention than I am. emoticon

And that 100 day speech was great. I was dying laughing because it was just dripping. The first thing I thought was how much do all those roses weigh?

I wonder if flowers are cheap over there because the girls in these dramas get huge bouquets!

Oh my I've never seen captiva this rattled. Self reminder not to bring up Gunhee letting Yoo bin drown. :P

Another great episode last night. I swear, these episodes feel like they're only 10 minutes long. As soon as I start watching it feels like it's over so quickly. I want more!

pooka we're on the same wavelength. I was about to type exactly all of those. But you did already.

I don't know why, but so far Yoo Hee Jin's character is annoying me. Like when she came back to see Heon in episode 4, she was so nonchalant about it like it was no big deal inspite of the hurt she caused, which she seems to be oblivious to or doesn't care about.

YAH, Cap! Give yourself one little knock with that club! leaving Yoo Bin to drown in the ocean was the "only jerky thing Gun Hee ever did"? Reality check? And I LIKE him, too! At any rate, we digress, we are here to discuss MNIKSS.

Pooka, outstanding recap! You just kill me. Flowers are cheaper in Taiwan and HK, where it's warm and they can be grown but they're expensive in Korea (and Japan), so when we see those giant bouquets and funeral wreaths, we know somebody dropped a bundle! Wasn't her face great when she had to take the roses? She looked like she didn't know whether to run or scream or just hit him with them.

Well, he sure tortured her good when he moved in for that almost-kiss after she questioned his manhood in the dvd room. She tossed and turned all night and couldn't sleep for her pounding heart. She says she's 'been without it for too long', LOL! Then she can't even get any peace from her usual solution of early morning baking, he shows up in the kitchen looking hunky as usual. And, as she says, he's always all business. I fear after few songs on the piano and a near-kiss, is our girl going to join his fan club too? Stay strong, Sam Soon!

O.K. maybe GH did two jerky things, but that's it.

B- One of the funniest parts of the show is the opening and her little pony trot KSS dance. Last night I was in the kitchen and entertained DH when he was getting a glass of water by doing the Kim Sam Soon dance. He told me I was dancing too fast emoticon

Heon's behavior last night with constantly yelling, getting into a tirade, breaking things.

I've seen enough Korean Dramas to know this happens often, however, I've never seen this kind of brutish behavior displayed so consistently and overtly in a series before. I was wondering is this kind of common among the masses in South Korea or is it an exagerration?

I think a bad tempers carry over to any race. I don't think his behavior is any different from anyone who has had to go through what he has in his 27 years. I have seen that behavior from others or myself from time to time. People just handle things differently sometimes. Some people just hold it in and others like myself let everyone have it! LOL!!

I think I didn't clarify myself enough to an extent... I mostly meant this behavior coupled with how he treats Sam Soon - the jerk syndrome. ;) I definitely agree it's a universal problem, no question about that, but it's perhaps more polarized/magnified in K-Dramas? Another example the leaving Yoobin out at sea scene *hides from cap*.
