The other jerk things GH did were just to get her attention and they were harmless. I don't think DH will play along and learn the Bong Sam dance but I think it would be very funny .

whoa, whoa, whoa, nellies! We've seen JH get mad and yell three times and he's hit something once. Let's compare that to the men in FWG, PFL, SR, Phoenix . . . Everywhere he turns he's got women telling him he has to get married, when all he wants to do is be left alone to run his restaurant and his life in peace. We're seeing him at a time when things are moving outside his control, and it looks like he feels it. And it's gotten under his skin.
I think Yoo Hee-Jin is taking the offensive, coming in with this sunny attitude that's an act because she knows he will be mad that she left for 5 years, even if she came back after only three. In her mind they must have had such a deep relationship that it made sense that he'd accept that she had to leave and he'd wait. In his mind, they must have had such a deep relationship that she'd never do such a thing to him, especially while he went through what he did with his leg and all. Very hard to see both sides of this one!

If you ever see me do the KSS dance ,you will know I've had way too much soju. The closest I 've got to that is warmed up sake ,and I think I know why they serve it in such little cups ! Its funny how we've digressed to GunHee .I admit that it was horrifying when he left Kim Yoo Bin ( it's been awhile since I've heard that name  ) But then I think of the golf game he played for her good name & job .I think he started out as a royal jerk (hence the title ) and was changed by the love of a good woman .(sigh) Don't these stories sound better in Korean ?A quick note about "Sassy girl." I found the girl's character intriguing ,and when I found out her back story ,I just felt sympathy for her .She started out acting out her grief .What a sweet ,wierd ,funny ,ironic ,romantic story !!!!!!
Back to MNIKSS. I've just finished watching episodes 4& 5. It was no problem ,believe me . I wonder why HeeJin DID go to the US ? If JH was seriously injured in the hospital ,I think that he would only see that as abandonment ...esp since she didn't call,left no # or address > That was pretty harsh .Was someone else in that accident ? I guess we'll find out . I also want to find out what Daniel Henneys relationship to HeeJin is >Isn't weird to hear American being spoken ? The good news is ,I think he can act ....that's a great change from our other countrymen in these dramas (shudder) It's so fun the way all the characters are starting to have dreams/daydreams .......
the most touching scene thus far was when they were making cookies in the restaurant .Mi Jo is adorable ...back story-please ! Oh well .My fingers are itching to start ep 6 ,but I will be strong & wait for tomorrow !!!!!

I pretty much have the same questions as you do addie. I think everyone else but you, me and cap have seen this, so they know what to expect.
Episode 5 was great.
I have to say, from my perspective KSS is being overly demanding in this episode. She keeps saying Heon talks down to her and how he's using her to make HeeJin jealous. What's the big deal? It's a job to the tune of $50000. What's the big deal that he gets upset and doesn't want to discuss his past with HeeJin? Anytime she asks and he tells her to butt out of his past, she keeps charging him for talking down to her or being condescending. I think that's a bit of a stretch really as it's none of her business. The same with using her to make his ex jealous. Again it's a job, nothing more, nothing less. Obviously KSS is developing feelings for him, but she neither realizes, recognizes or wants to admit it just yet..
Speaking of which the scene where she took him home drunk and she prayed that she can remain strong and not be tempted was funny.
I expect more will be revealed as we see. But I agree, HeeJin right now bothers me. She comes waltzing in and out of his life and on tonight's episode 5 she didn't even explain to him why she left after he got mad. She just took off before explaining why she did. The drama is building and I can't wait to see what the story is!!!
Also I too want to know more about the Mi Jo back story when we get to it. Why is Heon so close to her? Where are her parents?
Also who is that lady who took her to the restaurant, the assistant to Heon's mom. Is she a relative or just an employee?
Episode 5 was one of my favorites so far. The scene where KSS's sister went to the restaurant was hilarious. Chef Hyun moo was hilarious in it with all his funny acting, facial expressions and behavior.
Also the scene where Captain Jang exposed KSS' real name was sweet, how all the employees made it out to be not a big deal and even said her name was nice. I love the scenes when Jang is getting pissed off. She's a nice semi-friendly rival for KSS in the workspace.
If I remember, no one has brought up the soundtrack yet. Especially in this episode I'm growing extremely fond of it, like that catchy vocal tune that played when Heon was going after HeeJin at the end. Very catchy, like many of the tracks in this series. I'll need to listen to the soundtracks in greater detail tomorrow while I work.
We're still at the part of the series where the characters are slowly being introduced and their stories are finally coming to the surface. I'm getting more and more acclimated with the characters and their stories. I'm hooked. I love the cast in this one too!

well, I think you're real right about KSS being on the defensive about JH not dissing her partly because she's developing some feelings (even tho she couldn't possibly admit that!) But also, it's in the contract - she can't pry into his past and he can't treat her with a lack of respect. It's in writing as part of the 50,000.
The woman who brought Mi Joo to the restaurant is a relative of President Nah's who was taken in by the family at a young age - her back story doesn't get developed beyond that, so I'm not giving anything away. She's basically indispensable to Pres. Nah as she's with her all the time at home and at the office and knows everything about everything.
One of my most favorite bits of writing is the morning after when he's so hungover and KSS tells JH to eat like a man! He says her soup is bland, she says without missing a beat that she couldn't find any salt so she just rinsed her face in the water but she probably should have rinsed her feet (or was it her socks?) instead to season it properly and he just about gags. LOL!
