yahhhhh, Buppy! I wondered where you've been! great story about the soup and about torture=great parenting in Korea, good info, LOL! So you've had your own KSS spit-the-rice scene, too! Have your parents watched MNIKSS?

Oh, I just remembered! Last Saturday I walked into Sam's Club and heard this super loud music and people clapping in time with it. It was the day we were starting MNIKSS and I thought - b, you are hallucinating that scene when they're dancing in the restaurant! Sure enough, people were dancing and clapping in the frozen food section for some reason, and when I went, laughing, to the pharmacy the tiny Asian woman pharmacist asked me what was going on! I had to ask, "Are you by any chance Korean?" "yes!" So we ended up in a big conversation about MNIKSS, which her friend had just given her to watch. SMALL WORLD.

I so loved the waitresses sitting around the table drinking and listing why they can't meet men - it also made me think of how small the world is. That could have been my girlfriends anywhere in the US anytime in the last 30 years! I've been in that conversation way too many times!

I have to admit that in viewing the kissing scene the 2nd time around, I didn't think it the most romantic especially when Samsoon stepped back, and JH just stood there awkwardly in silence. I was surprised they even had another kiss after that. It looked like the moment was over. Then when Samsoon started really kissing JH, he just had his arms hanging down his side. I mean he eventually wrapped his arms around her waist, but oh so many better ways the director could have asked JH to do it. Made me wanna rewind to the Jerry kissing scenes in Meteor Garden, LOL.

I agree that it's not a romantic kiss at all, I thought it was supposed to convey the awkwardness of the situation. (My amazement is at seeing a kiss that went on for more than 2 seconds, and both people participated in! not our regular one-party-presses-face-against-head-of-other-kiss, lol!) JH started it and then stopped, then KSS kissed him but backed off, then she went back for more and he was still paralyzed - but then he finally kicked into action - why? Neither one of them seized the other passionately but they didn't stop, either. It looked exploratory and tentative, as I'd expect from these two characters. I think they each both did and didn't want to kiss the other.

Last night's episode felt a little subdued compared to the others, but it was good nonetheless.

pflfan, I also rewatched the episode 5 ending, as far as I hear it just uses that same song for both when he ran after her in the building and while in the cab?

My favorite scenes so far are the scenes in the restaurant! They're all hillirious. I also agree that kiss scene last night was terribly akward, however it was a perfect reflection of the state of their relationship.

The preview to episode 7 in that jeju area looks like things will heat up! That jeju area is the same area like in Phoenix right? (I don't mean the same hotel).

hahahahahaa, Cap! Like I could make up a story that ridiculous! Yes, Sam's is the Costco of the Walmart empire. Okay, you asked, so get ready - they were doing the electric slide. And this is in the middle of all the typical Saturday ladies-cooking-samples and whatnot, it was a circus. The whole thing just kept getting more hallucinatory, so ending up talking about Hyun Bin at the pharmacy window just fit right in. Cue: Twilight Zone theme for b's life soundtrack.

Yep, SR, it's the same Jeju/Cheju Island we've visited before during Phoenix. All hell breaks loose in Episode 7. I can hardly wait to hear what you have to say, aaiieeee!

I don't care what you say ,at least SS & JH kissed each other . I have been so disappointed with other Kdrama kisses that i wish they would stick to hugs ! If you're gonna kiss ,just do it !!!!

I don't know what song it is & if it's even on the OST.

addie, you're absolutely right! At least we got a kiss and not some lip pressing or cheap hug, LOL! I was just agreeing with what sleepywabbit mentioned that the director, KSA & HB thought it wasn't the most romantic kiss for the 2 characters.

LOL. addie! Great bumper sticker: "Yah! Don't be a Kim Yoo Bin! Kiss like you know how!" or, "Kiss like Kim Sam Soon!" I'm totally down with the kissing contest with KNJ - it doesn't even have to be a contest, and I'll even pay him. I wonder if that ep of PFL is available on Youtube, hmmmmm.

Btw, I heartily second pfl's recommendation of the TW drama Meteor Garden. Jerry Yan (the hunky guy in pfl's sig .gif) should give kissing lessons to the Koreans. Except for Batman.
