You are right, captiva. PFL is my fave K-drama.I had assumed that from your username here. class blockquote pook, Bae Young Jun from Winter Sonata did a nude scene with Bong Sam's gf in that movie you're talking about (remake of Dangerous Liaisons)? Hmmm, I didn't think he did those types of things.Well, not in TV dramas. Maybe he chose this role to try to break out of his typecasting?? class blockquote bbstl wrote:
okay, first and most importantly - I hate you all! There are at least 4 of you talking about this remake of Dangerous Liaisons and not ONE of you thought to mention it earlier? Now it may not be repeated on AZN's schedule and I may have missed it??? And you're happy having a discussion about whether it is or isn't risque, etc without me? Fine. You have to live with your thoughtless selves, I'm just embarrassed for you.
Aiisshhht, honestly. We have an Untold Scandal topic for those interested.
I recommend subscribing to the AZN TV Announcements topic in order to get email notifications when new announcements are posted.

I agree about the fight scene. It did drag on too long but a minute is too long for me (don't like violence) .

YAH! ccwf, where ya' been? good to see you. Thanks, after the above hurt feelings *whimper*, I did indeed enroll in the AZN TV announcements and other features. And dropped them a little note about their programming change from "The Lover" to "Captive Hearts".
Yeeecchhh, that fight scene, I totally had to close my eyes. I couldn't even stand the sight of Eric's face afterwards, all pulpy and bloody. Why do people like boxing? It's tragic.

Super Rookie Episode 3
Buppy so sorry to hear that. When will you be getting the dvds?
I rewatched Super Rookie episode 3 last night after Emperor of the Sea before going to sleep. ;)
The opening was sooo funny. Where Ho Kang was dreaming of that celebratory office event where he got the job. Remember when his mother and father came out waving to the crowd? Their facial expressions and hand waving gestures were so funny. Then when the company asked him a question in english, Ho Kang kept saying What? LOL. Then his friend, who I personally find rather annoying as a friend (I mean his friend is so envious of him in actuality) rushed onto the stage and kept shouting that Ho Kang was a fraud. That part had be really laughing out loud. Especially when Ho's mother kept hitting him on the face with the bouqet of flowers and the dad was trying to get him off the stage.
Episode 3 is my favorite of the lot so far. This one had a lot of hilarious scenes. Another scene that stuck out in my mind was the bathroom scene at work. Where the female workers were gossiping about the guy who got the perfect score. And then their superior came out of one of the stalls and lectured them...but then she too was day dreaming about what they said and went to check out the interviewees her self.
My favorite scene of not only episode 3 but the whole show so far was the interview process scene. Ho Kang was obviously a fish out of water when he got in. All these super talented people who have either traveled the world, know a lot or are corporate/academic minded were all there and they spoke so many other languages, etc. The interview scenes were great, when he did that whole speech again about how LK was his life long dream, and then further with the boss guy (what's his name again?) when he told the story about his father's shoes.
Now I'm caught up again with what I watched last week, so I'm really looking forward to watching Episode 4 tonight, it's been 8 days of wait. I'm so glad I picked this one up and am participating in this k-drama club. Previously relegated to only the AZN dramas, I'd have nothing to watch until monday. Weekends were always longer without some Kdramas to spice things up. Especially now that Emperor of the Sea is really heating up, I have Super Rookie to distract me until monday.

I loved the girls gossiping in the bathroom about the new recruits: not only did one get a perfect score, but he's as handsome as Won Bin! or the other star whose name I now forget. Hilarious that Oh Ji Ho and Eric, who fans rate at the top of Korea's most handsome stars, are playing parts where they're being compared to movie stars! Funny joke. I also enjoyed Kang's dream of success unraveling before the questions asked in English, to which he could only reply: "WAT? WAT?"

I was unable to watch episode 4 last night, so tonight I'm making that up and watching our scheduled episode 5 as well. Will comment on both episodes tomorrow. I can't wait to see what happens after Ho got hired (end of ep3).

Bong Sam's dream is so hilarious! Those eyepatches on the Kang Gang, and Gweng-Pil's tattoos; BongSam's MBA buddies in his gang and Miss Snotty who it turns out can't fight! Interesting that he dreams that Mi-Ok rescues Kang. Is this typical of martial arts films, that a character repeats a phrase like it's a mantra: "I just do as I please"? So we see that maybe Mr. Bong Sam isn't so completely confident after all?

I'm way ahead as you know, but we watched SR last night and today. There was a real shocker at the end of the episode I watched today.
