at that point KSS's mom has no idea that there is an actual relationship between SS and KSS, she thinks it's still all about the contract. And even up to the point when KSS brings him home, her mom doesn't want any part of SS for her girl - even when they tell her that KSS is pregnant, she still objects! That's how bad a guy she thinks SS is. Until she sees KSS go nuts when he's fallen to the ground from being beaten, and KSS is willing to show such disrespect to her own Mom over him, does her mom become willing to consider him. Because she finally sees that this has become love for them both, and she does want KSS to have her love, even if she fears that following that love into Sam Sik's family will bring KSS a very hard time in the future.

My K-friend tells me that both SS's mom and Mgr. Oh are stalwarts of K-drama and appear all the time. She said Mgr. Oh always plays really evil matriarchs, so it's fun to see her here as such a nice lady.

I missed the whole debate on which MNIKSS soundtrack was better. I was wondering what are everyone's favorite tracks from both soundtracks?

The more I listen to it, the more I discover more favorites beyond She Is and Be My Love. A new favorite of mine is Gravity. Very soft and poignant piece, be sure not to pass this one over!

SR, a long time ago Pooka and I agreed that if you were going to get just one MNIKSS OST, get the 2nd one. I've been listening to both since 4/1 and have revised my thinking. If you really feel that you love the show, I think you want both OSTs. The first one throws in a couple of odd "atmospheric" ringers, like Erroll Garner's (very long) "Over the Rainbow", which I'm not sure actually was used in the show? And "She Was Too Good To Me" when the show used a female version instead. It has songs of which we hear tiny snippets, but I'm really glad to hear the whole song now and find it brings me a lot of pleasure to recall those scenes. So, I'd get them both. The last track is also a VCD of "She Is". It's probably the same one that's on Youtube, so it's a pretty great recap of the MNIKSS high points (no, I haven't watched it, it's always in the car!!!)

So essentially you and Pooka feel the 2nd OST (mostly licensed music) is better than the original music for the show?

I haven't done it yet ,but I'm pretty sure I'll end up getting both soundtracks . I watched ep13 & 14 . I really enjoyed # 13 again . The scenes on top of the mountain & in the hotel were priceless . Note to bbstl: I read the article on seaweed soup ,and it was very interesting >I never knew how the tradition came about.I have never tried it ,but I would if I had the chance.

episode 14 was SO great > This whole series has been funny...but I don't think I have ever laughed so hard at at kareoke scene . It was utterly hilarious ! The whole taking Jh home to meet mom was a trip !

I feel the worst for Henry of all the characters .I don't know if this is a triangle or a quadrangle, but he's hanging in there. I know HeeJin was sick ,and I feel bad about that .But I think she was awfully presumptuous in thinking that she and JH would just pick up where they left off.They had both undergone so much trauma . Even IF she had stayed ,I don't know if their relationship would have survived .That is a moot point ,however .

JH did not a big mistake by trying to help HJ.He made a big mistake when he did not let SS know what was going on ,or answer her calls .

I am sorry this series is almost over .I have no desire to jump ahead with the last 2 episodes

Wasn't that karaoke scene in ep 14 a hoot? I was roaring in laughter in our living room when I first saw that scene. That's the very part where Hyunbin, the actor made me fall for him. He surprised me that with his handsome good looks, he can be so funny too! Very, very attractive!

boy, what a good question, if Hee Jin had stayed in the first place, what would have happened to them? Couldn't agree more, why didn't Sam Sik just call KSS and tell her what was going on? She would understand, he's right - but only if she's given the chance! Another thing that bugged me was when, after he's had the day of fighting with Henry and then breaking up with Hee Jin, his mom calls him over and wails on him - that would have been the right time to say: everything has changed, it isn't the contract relationship you've been led to think it is, I have grown up and want to marry this woman NOW. So shut up and give me your blessing. But I guess he was stunned by his mother actually admitting to emotions and feelings regarding him and his own shame about how he'd been acting.

Doesn't seaweed soup sound like something that will just make you feel so healthy? I want some now, too.

SR, it wasn't really a debate over the OST, don't spend any time hunting. The original music is interspersed in both, you'll be ok for that with either.

I'm so glad Hyun Bin got to cut loose in the karaoke scene. He really spends the entire drama being the straight man to Kim Sun Ah, and he's hilarious but it's hidden because you only notice her doing the funny stuff. When I first saw that scene with the shoe when he jumps back, I thought - how did the casting people know this guy could be this funny? He must have done a really good audition.

Ok the OST's , well I have both and I like both. It is hard to really like one better than the other as time goes on, but the second one The Memories of My Lovely Sam Soon does have a nice 48 page booklet with a bunch of pictures from the show and the words to some of the songs (in case you don't already know the words to It's Raining Men)..

Ep-14 This one has some of my favorite scenes in it. SS's list of things to do when she gets a boyfriend is so funny. #4 Say you love SS in a crowd, well JH can't be convinced until she cuts down his "wait time" from 2 months to one! Poor JH having to go see SS's mom and her broom!! He is so funny checking out the internet to get tips on how to impress her mom. Again he brings up their "baby" to get mom to give her approval. Where did he get those baby names?! Mountain, Prairie, and Ocean!! Now this is the second time I have seen the karaoke scene but I was still laughing so hard I was crying!! How could it not be funny with SS and her crazy robot-like dance, JH with his tie wrapped around his head and her mom and sister just singing their hearts out!!

Well I can understand why JH feels he has to take care of HJ but like the rest of you have said he should have told SS. SS is well aware of HJ 's illness and knows the breakup was really hard on both of them so I think she would have understood the situation if she was given a chance. Well from the look at the elevator somebody better start explaining and soon!!
