I have just a couple of comments. I haven't decided if Ki-woong's character is a simpleton yet. He does have a very nice smile, though . I hope he gets the girl,but I guess we won't know until next May emoticon

I would also like to say that Byung-doo's character bothers me. I know the trash bit was funny ,but he is so harsh to his wife & sister .The only time I saw any softness (or a smile)was when he was talking to Haein(his dtr)
On the other hand,would it be funny if he was the one who REALLY loved his wife ?

And he did give her the $20,000 for the café partnership. I think his bark is worse than his bite. He cares, but he doesn't express it when others are present. Although, I noticed the same thing about how he acted all warm and "normal" in his daughter's presence.

His character seems to have softened up a little from the first episodes where he was so ridiculously demanding. Then again, after seeing tonight's episode where his wife didn't check the pockets of his sweater before laundry and ruined the contract, maybe his frustration with her is a little more understandable!

I wonder what's going to happen now that Kiwoong's father is losing his job? That was so sad. Poor guy has kept his nose to the grindstone all these years, repeatedly passed over for promotions, and now being asked to give up his job for a younger person.

Loved how Jongnam gives Sukhyun fits! Screaming in his office lobby, drawing all that embarrassing attention to him. He deserves it— and what better person than Jongnam to dish it out to him!

(I wonder why the official website has Sukhyun's mother's name as "Yeojin," while our subtitles call her "Nara"?)

I was disappointed with Sukhyun when he did not show any compassion to Jongnam when he throw her in his car and drove away. I wanted him to apologize sincerely and show a little gratitude for what Jongnam did for him but he was only thinking of the embarrassment he suffered.

I guess the writer thinks that it's too early to soften Sukhyun's character. I am hoping there will be a turn-around somewhere in the future for Sukhyun to like Jongnam but it may be too late because Jongnam may have found her true love. This is still too early in the game but this I predict will happen in the future. For now, Sukhyun-Haein paring is imminent.

I think Byung-doo and his wife is a perfect match - a miticulous, ice-cold husband against a soft, meek and spineless wife. This gives the writer to generate lots of conflicts and surprises between these two characters.

kiwoong is super nice...naive...he's way too nice.. like father like son.....jongnam is a bit arrogant....
i thought haein was a nice girl..she doesnt like kiwoong??? so why did she buy thing for his mom??

Hi all... I'm watching this drama but still trying to 'get into it'.

First, it's hard to look at Byungdoo (Haein's father) as such a harsh ruler of the family. I just got done watching him in Windflower as a noodle factory supervisor. He was a soft, frightened kind of fella. Now he is this stern father/husband. At least he is not as stern with his daughter.

His daughter... Who also was in Windflower as the hated, evil Jungnim. Now I see her as a light hearted, easy going, lively character who is actually very beautiful. I didn't think her so beautiful in Windflower.

I think Haein will end up with Sukhyun. They seem much more suited than her with Kiwoong. Kiwoong will end up with Jongnam (skooter girl)...

Will most likely be a month or more before I can get into these characters.

nsheldon: You finally came in. I had followed your postings in My Precious Child and MSMD. I'm kind of missing your input in this drama.

I have often agreed with your opinion but now I think we differ in the pairing of Sukhyun and Haein. I like Kiwoong/Haein and Sukhyun/Jongnam to develop into a love match. However, it might take longer because of the opposite personality in each pair. I go for Byungdoo and his wife where personality totally clash. The constant nagging of Byungdoo and the who-cares attitude of the wife will be interesting to watch.

The parents of Kiwoong are perfect for each other but they are so predictable. They will remain faithful to each other, both obedient son/daughter-in-law and loving but old fashioned parents to their children. Let's see if the writer change their attitude later.

Hello everyone, well I found ya all....lol...we just finished the last epso. of MSMD tonite, which is Friday here in Pa. At the end of the drama tonite it said.... The Bizarre Bunch! will be starting next Monday for us....I am looking forward to it. I am also looking forward to a drama as great as Yellow Hankie......the ones that have followed YH have not even come close to it. So maybe this one with come close.....look forward to hanging out with ya all when we get going on this one. Have a great week end.

Blazegirl... IMO there will never be a drama to match YH. I'm still hoping it comes on the market w/English subs. Someday....

I can see Haein/Kiwoong. I could see Sukhyun/Jongnam. I just think that Haein and Sukhyun are better suited. They seem to be moving in the same direction... Uphill.. Both seemingly well educated and both seem 'classy'. Just as IK see Kiwoong/Jongnam to be more down to earth and less 'materialistic'... I could see Kiwoong/Jongnam running a restaurant together. Or some type of business. They both are people oriented and 'people serving' types. LOL... But that's just my opinion. I suppose time will tell. And since I'm prone to chaning my mind (when someone else comes up with such logical opposition to my opinions), this may be a temporary mindset.

I think my family is so tired of me and these dramas. They aren't allowed to call me during my 7:30 show. They can call during 8:00 and 8:30 but then from 8:30 -9:00 no calls allowed again. LOL.... Oh well, I did give up taping All My Children, One Life to Live and GH... So let me have my K-dramas!!!

Byungdoo really cracked me up telling his wife to use coupon when getting the car washed. Also when Sukhyun said he wants to come back and have dinner with the family, Byungdoo said if he has rice deposit. It is clear he does not want to invite Sukhyun for dinner or maybe he is thinking it will cost him more to have an extra person at dinnertime.
