I finally liked Sukhyun last night when he defied his mother and told Haein's father that the car attendant was his uncle--yeah for him--maybe he has some possibility as a human being after all. This series is getting better. Let me join the I hate Nara the queen of the cold-hearted club. She is the biggest witch of all; SM wasn't even that cruel in MSMD.

Everybody hates Nara and I can see why but comparing her to the evil MIL in MSMD, I think Nara is more educated and classy. Her clothes are very beautiful, her hairdo is nice too and if she only smiles more often, she is prettier.

Now, let us see tonite how cruel she can be to Jongnam. Jongnam made a mistake already by calling her "ajima" (Mrs.?) which is insulting when addressed to a relative.

Ajima is what they call the housekeeper also isn't it? I think it's just a general title like ma-am is here. I think Nara is much worse than SM who was just totally a big baby about wanting her way. Nara is more calculating--she's so mean to her husband--so cruel and cold. That's why he looks outside his marriage--he needs someone to tell him he's wonderful( that's what a lot of man needed--sorry, guys)

I don't want to belabor the Nara vs KJ's mom(what WAS her name ? ) But I find Nara to be truly evil >She is intelligent and calculating.She wil use money and power to get what she wants. She is scary...an Ice Queen Dragon Lady.
Kijoon's mom was ignorant & petulant,could (and did) nag people to death get what she wanted.But she wasn't smart enough to trick people,and she was no match for HeeJoo.

Nara is jealous of Minsook's family-she should be. Who wouldn't rather spend time @ their house. I think even K& S are developing a more sibling relationship.

Point well taken about Haien. What's up with the lunches with Kiwoong? Is she really so thoughtless about his feelings,or did she not believe he really cared ?

The whole courtship thing seems bogus As Byongdoo said to his wife "do you think this is playing house ? " H &S have hardly dated ,and Nara wants to set the date?

I am anticipating the time when Nara will get hers,but I fear it will be a long & tortuous process .Are we up for it ?

I can't begin to make a comparison between ScreechMom and Nara. SM was not really evil, she was just a passionate person whose desires were too often misdirected—but SM's choices were never to hurt other people for the sake of thwarting them, only to get what she felt she needed herself.

Nara, on the other hand, is the coldest, most calculating character I've seen on a K-drama. She deliberately chooses actions that are cruel and heartless for no apparent reason. She isn't reacting to somebody else; she cuts people off at the knees from some warped place when nothing has happened. A short list: class ul class li She moved Kiwoong's show time to an impossible hour to make him fail. class li She hated Kiwoong's success and deliberately wants to snuff it out before it grows. class li Nara revels in having Minsook feel jealous over Sukhyun's superior girlfriend, Haein, because she's "better" than anything Kiwoong can get. class li She took steps to prevent her sister-in-law from adopting Jongnam into the family. class li She treats her husband worse than she treated Mr. Pooh. class li She's held the line, telling her son and husband not to give jobs to anyone in Kiwoong's family (namely K-dad).Oh, and how can I forget one of the worst things of all (in my opinion)! class ul class li Leaving Minsook standing at the door, ringing the bell, totally ignoring Minsook after she'd travelled all that way until she finally had to give up and leave.I don't hate Nara. But, at this point, I sure can't see how anybody could like her.

As for Haein and Kiwoong. Haein has always treated Kiwoong that way. From the beginning I didn't like it but, as others quickly posted, Haein wasn't deliberately teasing Kiwoong. And I've come to that point of view, also.

I don't think she's deliberately leading him on. I think she is just so wrapped up in her own world that she doesn't see other peoples' feeling very easily. She only knows that she was uncomfortable and annoyed by Kiwoong's overt expressions of love for her. But I've never seen her really tuned in to his feelings, and what would be good and kind toward him.

One thing about Haein's feelings for Kiwoong, though. She wants to have her cake and eat it, too. She doesn't think she wants him (she has Sukhyun), but she sure can't stand seeing Kiwoong with another girl, either (Jongnam)!

nchristi--I agree with you completely. It's what I said earlier: Nara is one evil woman--totally devoid of any kind of heart or feeling as you said. And SM was just self-absorbed, but Nara is truly a control freak who is out to really hurt Jae-min and his family. Why if Sukhyun is Minsook's son is Nara so mean to someone who gave her so much? I can't wait to find out the secret.

But you would think that she would be afraid that Minsook would spill the beans about Sukhyun's birth parents. After all look how hard she tried to keep anyone from finding out that her brother-in-law is parking cars. There's something creepy happening here. It's a good mystey and thank goodness we aren't all holding our hearts in our hands this time.
