Well, I've really enjoyed this show up to now,but it's really getting GOOD !
I was so happy when S defended Jongnam to Nara ! (I'm not sure he got anywhere ,but he let her know how he felt "for aunt's sake")
I loved the fireworks scene...I really think that S is enthralled by Jongnam because she is so free to express herself.She was so happy with the fireworks -almost like a child .He was trying to please her ,especially after the conversations they had in the car about prevoius problems...ie the lost keys ,name calling.
All that is behind them now...this relationship can take off.(except one huge obstacle)
Interesting "date" between H &K .She was really being honest with K re S.Very interesting. Lots to look forward to !
TTEE,at the begining of the ep,S&N opened the door to Aunt & J.Basically ,N called J a liar,fraud tolx her never to come to her house.J offered N a gift & tried to apologize.N would have none of it,and threw the gift on the floor. J& A went home and A talked to her about respect of elders etc. J made a good point about respect being earned.I hope that helps

The fireworks scene was beautiful; it was heartwarming to watch Sukhyun's smile as the delighted Jongnam gazed in awe at her own private fireworks show, while he lighted the two heart sparklers!!!
It was sad to hear Jongnam's childhood story about attending a b'day party where the parent gave every child, but her, a sparkler and then she confessed she knew there was never a sparkler for her from the beginning -- what kind of person could intentionally exclude and hurt any child at a b'day party, or any time? Was the parent Nara? 
Sukhyun seemed to hurt as much as Jongnam, as he listened to her story. Obviously, he wants to make all her dreams come true and see that she doesn't get hurt again.
There is a saying that guys tend to pick girls who need them. This is definitely not the case with Haein, who has everything at her fingertips; she's independent and her only need for Sukhyun is to complete a mental image burnt into her brain since childhood. Likewise, he has no desire to protect or provide for her.

I don't think all guys pick girls who need them--as you said Haein doesn't need anybody--she just needs to complete her image. But there are guys who do want someone like Haein--competent and strong. I think Suyhyun is attracted to Jongaim because she is from a different world than he is. He's had everything and she's had nothing. It's sort of like seeing the world through the eyes of a child--Sukhyun is the old jaded adult who's seen it all , had all opportunities, and Jongaim is the little child for whom the world is all new and shiny and bright--it's that Christmas morning feeling when you see the possibilities of life and not the limitations. I think that's why Sukhyun is falling for Jongaim--innocence is always attractive--the wide-eyed wonder that is Jongaim complete with the courage she has had to develop to survive is an irrestible draw for him.
I also think Kiwoong is the female version of Jongaim--they can't get together because they would be two children wandering the world alone--the prey of people like Nara.

wow...everyone loves the firework scene...hehe and here come another one to join the party . i loved how J is so honest to S about her past, her feelings toward the situation with Nara, and her newfound thought on name calling and action toward others. I think S is the only other person aside from Aunt that she open to. and of course i love how S is acting toward J...hehe...especially his smile. there's definitely sparks flying around.
as for the idea of K and S being twin, that could be a possibility...hehe. maybe K's dad didn't know he had 2 boys (would they allow the husband to go into the delivery room in korea at the time the boys were born??). it could be that b/c of their financial standing that Minsook was forced to give up her other son. S definitely is related b/c otherwise the grandma won't be so attach to S. even though she favors K over all, but she also treats S very well. maybe Nara really doesn't know b/c she seems to be puzzled when Minsook said "you should know" during their confrontation in the early episode. Nara later on thought that Minsook meant her husband is parking car now b/c he lost his job and that they're in financial bind. she probably dislike K's family for the same reason that Sunkeung's wife doesn't like his family in "farewell to tears". Nara was probably from a wealthy family and she doesn't want to be associated with someone with lower class. although I wonder sometimes why and how did they got together in the first place. Love is blind but i don't think that applied to Nara...hehe.
anyhoo...this drama is definitely different from MSMD. like some have said, we don't get emotionally drawn into the drama (at least that I hope we won't be). the name also is very fitting b/c they're a group of bizarre people...hehe. and i'm loving it with all the speculations being draw by viewers. wonder if the writers foresee these ideas in viewers...hehe.

One other little tidbit from the fireworks scene... It was so touching to see Sukhyun take off his jacket and wrap it around Jongnam to warm her up. She has been such a deprived little street fighter all her life, with no one to care for and about her, that it seemed she could hardly believe that someone—especially Sukhyun—would put her physical comfort ahead of his own out there in the cold. Very sweet scene, especially since Jongnam is so appreciative—even if she can't tell him so.
I think all of us need to feel "needed" in a personal relationship. We all just need different things at different times, I suppose. I imagine with a stone-cold, super-domineering mother like Nara, a guy like Sukhyun, who is beginning to grasp hold of his own independence from Mom, would very much want a girl who "needs" him on some basic level. (The alternative is to become the completely emasculated husband he sees in his father.)
Jongnam is very independent, but she's starving for the emotional attention and security that is being awakened in Sukhyun. Actually, she is surprisingly pliable these days in wanting to improve herself, her behavior, and to keep her mother's love and trust. Sukhyun has led a life of self-absorption so far, but we can see that he is truly beginning to see and care about the needs of other people around him—especially Jongnam.
And there's no denying that Jongnam brings a whole bunch of pizzazz to Sukhyun's life. They both have an abundance of what the other needs, in my opinion. There's a lot of chemistry between them and they look good together, too!
