K-Drama: 별난여자, 별난남자 (The Bizarre Bunch/Peculiar Woman,Man)
I still think Jae-doh is the biological father--look at In-Young's father in MSMD--he had a child out of wedlock who he raised--and he was a good man and married when it happened. I think it is more accepting for men to have affairs in Korea than it is for the woman.

Re: K-Drama: 별난여자, 별난남자 (The Bizarre Bunch/Peculiar Woman,Man)
I loved that Sukhyun "recreated" with Haein the time he had spent with Jongnam. A lightbulb is going off over his head, that he feels differently when he spends time with Jongnam (he actually has fun), though I don't think it has quite entered his head that he might actually like Jongnam -- that isn't within the realm of possibilities yet, and he sort of thinks of her as a "cousin" (at least that's how he rationalizes it). He really does still see Haein as his "ideal" -- that picture in his head of the person that he should marry. He's a "good son", and it's enough that they look good together. Isn't that what their parents keep saying about them? "They look good together."
However, I have to side with Haein on the food. Did we miss the fact that those were chicken feet??? Messy or neat, I don't think I would be up for that -- and neither was his aunt ("you brought me these???"). But she comments basically that Jongnam will eat anything! I guess this is left over from her impoverished childhood. It's interesting that Jongnam is not ashamed of her background (I think lying about her parents was more about the pain of missing their love, rather than trying to hide the circumstances of her upbringing). Sukhyun and Haein have been indoctrinated into believing that breeding is everything. Jongnam has no "breeding", and doesn't really try to hide it -- she eats chicken feet, is openly tight with money, doesn't dress to impress, etc. Sukhyun still doesn't quite know how to process that.
I really think the actor playing Sukhyun has improved over the course of this show. He was pretty wooden in "Resurrection/Rebirth", and I wasn't impressed when he started out in this show. But he plays well against the Jongnam character, and has loosened up quite a bit. My only complaint: who the heck is doing his wardrobe???? They have him in lavender, in velvet, in a 3/4 length black and white check coat with a belt-- did someone forget that he has a Y chromosome???

Also.... did anyone notice that the grandma said, "Haein can't be Kiwoong's sister-in-law"? So that probably means that Sukhyun and Kiwoong are brothers.... unless they subtitled it wrong :-/.

Maybe1, I so-o-o- agree with you about Sukhyun. At the beginning of this drama he acted very girlish--and his clothes didn't help. He is at least more masculine now--but those clothes are a hoot--who would wear that stuff?

Sorry..I got confused with names. I mean to say Jaedo (K's dad) in my posting however, I think it is Asian culture who believes that the cousins are also brothers and sisters.

LOL...chicken feet tastes good. Just as good as frog feet. Hmmmmmm......... (reminisces).
Ohh man, from what I'm hearing, I guess Sukhyun had a blast with Haein........yeah right. He probably was just like..."WTF, why am I here?" Haein is so boring! I can't take it anymore. She is officially the most boring character ever. She's more boring than watching grass grow.
In my opinion, I actually like the wardrobe of Sukhyun. He pulls off the colors really well, and not everyone can do that. But still, I find his hands to be extremely feminine. It's so.....clean. Cleaner than Jongnam. That's quite scary.
As of now, I have no care for the developing relationship between Kiwoong and Haein because I don't see it going anywhere. But to be truthful, I think if Haein introduced Kiwoong to her father, he would've liked Kiwoong ten times better than Sukhyun.

The clothes thing is odd to me, too, but I've noticed that SoKorean entertainment has been going through an avant-garde men's clothing jag for at least the last year. It's as though they are experimenting with how far they can go—much more so than the women's clothing. (Remember all the weirdness at the 2005 drama awards shows? Eric was one of the few nominees there who actually looked masculine.)
The jacket Sukhyun wore last night was over the edge for me. Both the wool weave and the style (short length) looked like a woman's suit jacket, not a man's. I noticed that his slacks had a satin stripe up the sides (like a tux) to offset the different jacket length/style. It was tame compared with some of the outfits I've seen on guys over there, and Sukhyun wore it about as well as any man could, I suppose. class blockquote pmellia wrote:

I think he has the most slender, delicate looking hands I've ever seen on a guy. (But I'm sure those hands look just great to Korean girls who have hands that are even more slender and beautiful! Everything is relative.)

The cuff of the sleeves does look like he's wearing a women's jacket! He does seem to wear ALOT of rich and lucious fabrics like velvet and satin. I mean.....only men should wear them once in a while. Not everyday! Ohh well, he's got the cash anyway. Even Jongnam dresses more manlier than him......which I find to be very, very very sad.
I find Korean fashion to be extremely interesting. I really like all the cast members outfits....especially Jongnam's. Her style to stylish but laid-back. I would wear her outfits anyday.
I bet you guys a million dollars that if you put all the cast members hands together and take a picture of it, you wouldn't be able to distinguish Sukhyun's hands. I have this extremely disturbing picture in my mind of Sukhyun prancing around in a field of flowers waving his hands like a little girl.
