K-Drama: 별난여자, 별난남자 (The Bizarre Bunch/Peculiar Woman,Man)
I said before--at the very start--Sukhyun was way too feminine for me to think of him as a man. I mean a lot of American male stars are gay, and I thought Sukhyun looked that way too. But now he's a little bit better--but the clothing has to go. Those short jackets--and girly material. Can anyone see Sukhyun defending Hain or Jongaim against a robber---I mean I can see Jongaim saving Sukhyun, but not the other way around.
Yeah Granny--but you know Nara won't stand for that. Nara will get her way or the world will pay a price.

I really like all the cast members outfits....especially Jongnam's. Her style to stylish but laid-back. I would wear her outfits anyday.I agree with you, pmellia. Especially with the teenage and twenty-somethings clothes for women. Very cute and catchy. class blockquote I have this extremely disturbing picture in my mind of Sukhyun prancing around in a field of flowers waving his hands like a little girl. LOL! Thankfully I haven't reached that point in my view of him. That's too funny.
Ohh yea, I can't forget Haein! And Nara! And Grandma, k mom and Okdoo! How sad is that.
You know what nchristi? Ever since I saw Jongnam and Haein's wardrobe, I've been dying to go shopping. Unfortunately, I don't have the money, patience, or an IQ of fashion to do that. Sometimes, I'm so amazed at teh colors, style and fabrics these people put together. It's ridiculous. I remember one time, Haein wore this beautiful red velvet military blazer. I secretly wanted to go to Korea, sneak in the BB set, and steal that blazer. It was the prettiest piece of clothing I have ever seen in my life.

Everytime I see Nara, I feel this evil presence around me. She's deliciously evil I tell you. She's like a dictator. The dictator of BB. Using her power and money to rule her family.

Re: K-Drama: 별난여자, 별난남자 (The Bizarre Bunch/Peculiar Woman,Man)
Sorry, gotta pass on the feet. Is there actually meat on the feet? I was brought up raising chickens, turkeys (now them there are some feet!). I remember my mom wringing the chickens neck. I remember the poor chicken running around the yard, headless.
So, since I missed last nite's show and have had to read our posts to find out what happened, it appears that Sukhyun took Haein out either to watch fireworks or to eat feet. Which was it? I bet with either one Haein would never show the pure innocent joy that Jongnam did over it (seeing the fireworks and getting to eat the feet).
I did see the end where it showed granny thinking back when she was having a talk with Kiwoong about Haein. Kiwoong told granny that Haein was an angel and that he liked her more than any other guy would ever like her. That he would keep all the other guys away from her. And that thought upset granny so bad she went to Nara's house. Nara and Haein's mother were just about to go out together. Granny wanted to 'talk'. They all sat down (after introductions) and Granny said there would be no wedding. Nara and Haein's mother sat there stunned by this..
Can't wait for tonite!!!! I would have been upset last nite anyway, having to watch Sukhyun with Haein (unless it was no fun for Sukhyun being with her).

Re: K-Drama: 별난여자, 별난남자 (The Bizarre Bunch/Peculiar Woman,Man)
Nsheldon : S took H to the same tent restaurant that he & J had ate at .He ordered the same food, including the chicken feet ,and told her the same line about eating spicy food .H refused to eat it ,and then S chickened out (sorry everybody )
After that they went to the drink stand, got drinks and tickets to scratch .They sat in the park on the SAME bench that he & J had sat on.
Basically, he repeated the wole experience, but with H. And I thought he looked confused like "how come this isn't any fun ? " (because pal ,somethings missing )
Poor Kiwoong ! Maybe he's ready to move on / get over H . Dropping the ring in the charity box is pretty final !

If Sukhyun and Jongnam end up together in the end, isn't is kinda of odd since they are practically cousins? I'm not so sure about this but is it normal for Korean culture because here in America, I'm pretty sure that's not allowed.
This has been bothering me for quite a while now and I wish for it to be answered.

Thanks, guys, for filling in the details on the Granny pronouncement scene and Sukhyun's exciting date with Haein! class blockquote pmellia wrote:

This has been bothering me for quite a while now and I wish for it to be answered. They aren't related by blood and is Jongnam even legally adopted by the aunt? Even if she were, I can't see that it would be anything that couldn't be fixed up if she wanted to marry Sukhyun. There would not be any problem with them marrying in the USA. Even here, some states still permit marriages as close as between first cousins, and I suspect all states allow marriages between second cousins.
In Western civilization, the legal prohibitions are to prevent people with the same family gene pool from concentrating that gene pool further, because children born from in-bred gene pools that are too similar (e.g., brothers and sisters) are successively weakened by inheriting the diseases and malformities that are found within that family's genetic structure.

Is the eldest grandson favored most in Korean family?Very good question. Well, if not favored most because Kiwoong is Kiwoong, such a great soul... then definitely because it is the Korean family's best interest to marry off the eldest sibling/kin first. Just another Asian way of showing honor and respect to your elders.
But here, I think there's something more to it since Kiwoong's mom certainly has a significant, still-secret-to-me bond with Sukhyun. I'm sure Grandmother knows this secret bond and that is why she is hopeful that Kiwoong will marry off first. Hmmm.... the jig will be up soon.
Also our KBS World on east coast is totally behind you guys, so don't know if more specific details to Kiwoong's mom, Minsook, and Sukhyun have been revealed.

Does Grandma have the right to say no to a grandson's wedding? I know why she is doing it. She remembers how K confided in her how much he love his girlfriend and grandma feels pity for him. However, it is just a one-sided love and even if she is able to stop the wedding plans, would H go for K? Believe it or not, a Korean grandparent actually does have the right to openly object to a grandchild's wedding. Well, not only the grandparent, but also the parent(s). For instance, look at Haein's very strict, old-fashioned father. A Korean parent/grandparent can even object to their child/grandchild's simple courtship or dating relationship. Most Asian parents/grandparents... and, of course, I am focusing more on my native Korean culture... are very strict, traditional and quite, bluntly, very judgemental. Hmmm... that's how K-dramas were born... love triangles, forbidden lovers rebelling against their disappointed family members, conspiracies and all that yummy intrigue.
Now as for Grandma in BB being able to stop anyone's plans... I don't think so. But I'm sure she'll make everyone rethink their priorities.
