Funny, I never kept track of which episode I'm on for BB until now. I love spoiling myself reading the posts ahead and then watching the very same episodes that have just been discussed with more attentiveness. Gives me the chance to really pay attention and analyze the stuff you guys were talking about. Sometimes I'm like, "ahhhhh... this is what they were all discussing about.... ahhhhh, I seeeeee." Feels like a book club! Gotta love this type of forum!

Soccer update. It's possible Feb 8 and Feb 15 will be preempted. The Korean World Cup team will be in L.A. playing the L.A. Galaxy and the Mexico World Cup team on those respective dates. They are doing a world tour to prep for the world cup this summer.

She is so completely believable, isn't she?. . ."wholeheartedly agree w/you, nchristi. I didn't understand her sharing the award w/Han Ga In (we hadn't seen much of the drama at awards time), but now that we've just seen Ep. 56, I'm so glad "Jongnam" was an award recipient. She's one very talented actor. Besides Jongnam and Sukhyun, I think Kiwoong is also excellent. In last night's ep, it was sad, as he sat drinking w/Jongnam -- you could tell he totally felt her hurt from loving Sukhyun, 'tho she tried to tell him she liked Sukhyun "just a little bit", he knew otherwise.
And . . . when Sukhyun/Haein were at dinner . . . Sukhyun's fixed stare over the water, said more than words can convey about his feelings for Jongnam. (luv'd the way he totally ignored Haein the whole time.) Just knew he was going to wrap things up early to go check on the Jongnam/Kiwoong "get-together", didn't you? It's time for Haein to bow out gracefully. Sukhyun is very nice looking; he seems to get more attractive as this all plays out.
My take on the fireworks scenes -- incomparable and most memorable most aptly describe my thoughts about the 'private' fireworks scene which deeply touched my heart and soul. The amusement park fireworks scene -- bordered on lust, w/both Jongnam and Sukhyun silently acknowledging their desire.

Hello Everyone,
I.m a new member to this board and I am a new K-drama fan. The BB is the first Korean Drama I've every watched and I am hooked. I love it. I have missed the first several episodes so I've been reading everyones post have really helped me fill in the gaps and catch up on the family history. Thanks! I've really enjoyed reading everyones post!
The last episode I've seen is #47 so I'm a little behind you folks in Cali. I'm in NJ.
I like think the Sukhyn and Jongnam have a great chemistry together, unlike Sukhyun and Haein, to me S and H are very stiff together but when S is with J he kinds of lets go a little, in my opinion. Haein should be with Kiwoong because he doesn't take her for granted like Sukhyun does. Sukhyun never seems to know why Haein is mad at him, it seems to go over his head.
Why does Jongnam call Sukhyun Mr. Pee?
OK I think I've said enough for the time being, I'm just happy I can discuss this with people, nobody watches where I'm at, they don't know what there missing
As you can see I talk alot.

thanks for expanding on your comment nchristi. I am kind of disappointed that it's taking JN and SH so long to see that they definitely have feelings for eachother, but then again, in life we don't always recognize those cues instantly. This is such a good drama.

I am really enjoying watching the character of Sukhyun develop . I did not much like him in the beginning.Remember in the beginning when he got off the plane from the US wearing those shades ? What a hoot ! I also agree that the actor's performances are great .He is conveying alot very subtly . A lot on Friday's episode struck me as significant .
S stopped Nara from hitting J again by grabbing her wrist. He insisted she get into her car ( I was surprised she complied ) He tried to take full responsibility for their friendship .
Two things he said to Nara REALLY got me,though...when he said "don't you trust anyone " & "do you solve everything with money "
When Nara said "do you take after your father " that was below the belt. I don't think that S saw J deliberately ,it just happened and evolved .I've used the word "clueless " before to describe S .
Why didn't Jongnam respond to the slap ? Maybe she was too stunned,or maybe because of the long talk she had had with Jaeok about respecting elders,or because it was S' mom.
It was very touching when S left her in front of the apt bldg,and J looked at him with tears in her eyes.
I'm not sure I believe the American citizenship story . I don't know who S parens are,but if it's Jaedo & Minsook ,I think he will feel betrayed . O the other hand,it would explain alot about the innate goodness in his character.
I hope he calls off this wedding soon ! Use Grandma as the reason !!
And poor Kiwoong....I just love him !! he is still hurting alot, so is so sensitive to J's pain. Have I mentionned that Haien is not good enough for him?

It seems the audience members don't like Haein. Is it a carryover from her being disliked as the other character in her last drama?
Haein has not done anything wrong or disrespectful in this show as some of the other characters have done.

wasn't Friday episode great? I think S's subtleness really showed his feeling for J. I was so happy that he covered J when his mom was about to go for another slap (and yea I was surprised that Nara actually went into the car). I also think Nara's action about this whole thing will only give S more reasons to be with J, to protect her from the likes of Nara. He already felt that he needs to give J what she didn't have before. At first...I thought I would like K more than S, but now...I love them equally...hehe. K is so attentive to others and caring. S is very subtle but also very caring. If S turned out to be K's younger brother, then that would explain his nice-loving personality...hehe.
as for J not responding to the slap...I think she was too stunned to be slap by S's mom, esp for something that it wasn't her fault or within her control. I mean, it was S that waited for her and adamant about taking her home. Also, it's her 3rd encounter with Nara and it was also not a very happy encounter.
pali: i think the majority in here don't like Haein b/c of her selfish personality/self absorbed characteristic. She always think about herself before others. For example, her marrying S wasn't about love. It was more of her having a stable life and a great place in society after marriage (this could stem from her mom). I don't think she knew S that much before the engagement. From the last few episodes, it showed that she doesn't know much except for the fact that he comes from a good family with a good background in education and work. If you were to marry someone, shouldn't you know much more than social status? but yea...that's just my thought...hehe. oh and also that she sometimes treated K as a fall back/rebound (not quite but almost the same) when S wasn't around. that bother me sometimes...hehe.
question about the pre-empt soccer games...would the station show the 2 episodes that we will be missing the following day? or would they go ahead with the scheduled episodes? i really hope that's not the case...hehe.
