Thanks, funniegirlie, for the recap! The devil really is in the details, and with the mystery of Sukhyun coming to a head, I hyperventilate whenever I have to miss an episode! How bizarre -- I watch almost no English TV anymore, and I have absolutely no Asian heritage! The family thinks I'm nuts!

And plus, it's still very early in the series, Haein will sometime light up the way I want her too.

I forgot about Jongnam erasing that message. I was furious over that. I didn't care for Jongnam at all at first.
Haein IS a nice girl. She has a very close relationship with both her parents. I personally think her father would prefer Kiwoong to Sukhyun because of Kiwoong's devotion to Haein. Haein isn't going to get that from Sukhyun.
I think if Haein and Sukhyun marry, he'd end up being a workaholic and Haein would end up being a petty, whiny, complaining wife. She can't stimulate him. If Haein were married to Kiwoong she would be with someone totally devoted to her. That's what she needs.
I think the comment Haein made to Jongnam about becoming sister in laws was an attempt to point out to Jongnam that she should view her relationship with Sukhyun as one of cousins, FAMILY. That way there would be no way they could be anything more.
I think Sukhyun is just so cute... I love how he looks at Jongnam. I notice that he is being less and less interested in wedding planning. He just tells Haein to plan the trip where ever she wants to go. He basically is acting now like, "Hey, you make all the arrangements and then just invite me"...

I thought it was so sad when Sukyun put on Jongnam's hat . I felt for both of them when S went to the restaurant to eat ,and Jongnam continued to work the whole time . S keeps thinking of reasons to talk to / see J,and work is the only safe subject.
Haien is starting to know what is going on,and frankly ,I am worried about what she will do. H rarely voices her true feelings and thoughts,so I think her character could go either way....she can be nice ,but I also think she has potential to be evil. Hopefully I am wrong.
Kscorpio, I seem to remember a scene where K asked J repeatedly to call him "opa",but for some reason she did not feel comfortable -and decided to call him Ajushee instead.
They have started to show previews for the next episode instead of end credits,and tonight S will see a baby picture of himself being held by Gramma.He's gonna know that the whole US story is a lie.
This is what I think.(and I could be all wet) S is the son of Jaedo & Minsook.He is one year younger than Kiwoong.Jaeman & Nara were in the US for a while,but when they came back they adopted S when he was only a few months old.

Ok, I was a little off about the picture.The picture shows Nara holding an approx. 3 month old baby, Gramma ,and Minsook holding a 1 yr old (?) Kiwoong. They are obviously in the courtyard of the (Jaedo) Chang household. So ,S DOES know that everybody is lying.,esp re the USA part. S had come to visit Gramma,and she happened to be looking @ pictures.At the same time Minsook was at Nara's house ,being reminded of the truth(Ahem- too late for the united front)
BTW,one must RENOUNCE their citizenship in front of an official to give it up. I also don't believe someone else could do it for another person. If S is an American citizen (which he isn't ) He would just need his birth cert,and go to the consulate for whatever other documents he needed.
Haien tried to convince S that K /J were dating. K definately gets the whole situation re S/J ,at least from J's viewpoint.You can see that he knows by his face.
We saw a spark of the old Jongnam tonight.She was in front of a pet store,and was looking at a puppy .S caught her looking & talking to the dog,and she was embarrassed.She tried to just go around him,and he said "we are not enemies "(like;why can't we talk?) Her reply was "someone might be watching,and I don't want to get slapped again"
You go,girl !
Still I feel bad for Sukhyun. There's rocky road ahead !

Hi everybody!!
This is my first time posting on this board, but I have been reading it for spoilers since OMR. I'm in Central/ South Jersey, so like a number of people here on the board, I get my dramas on WYBE. Anyhoo, enough about me.
As I was watching tonight's epi (Dajeung goes for her entrance exams) and reading all of your speculation on exactly WHERE Sukhyun came from (because falling out of the sky isnt really a good enough explanation) I had a thought. Since it's already kinda obvious that he wasn't born stateside, maybe he was CONCEIVED stateside. It's feasible that that **tch Nara's womb shrivelled up from her own venom. I get the feeling that Sukhyun's dad (?) has been a playboy since five minutes after he said the words "I Do." I think that Nara figured that adding a bouncing baby to the family portrait would settle that old rolling stone down.
Since that kind of evil should NEVER be allowed to reproduce itself, I think that Nara, with the help (aka nagging) of Grandma, was able to convince a very poor and struggling Minsook that a few of her eggs in exchange for finances wouldnt be such a bad idea. Nara had the money and determinaton to bring Minsook to the US for an IVF surgery.
Does this sound like a good theory to anyone else, or should I go easy on the All My Children and such?

... a couple of clue to make me come to this conclusion.
1. Minsook's husband seems to show absolutely NO affections for Sukhyun beyond a genteel uncle.
2. Nara feels the need to constantly reiterate that HER son is better than Minsook's-- not because of genes, but because he was able to get the best out of life.
3. The first time Haein went to Sukhyun's house, his dad spoke of how Kiwoong went EVERYWHERE w/ Granny as a kid... maybe because she had to bring him up while his mom was out sharing the gift of motherhood.
