For example, I'm watching another drama currently being shown on TV here, and after each episode watching another version with accurate, literal translations of the conversation. I am amazed at the difference. I get the same feeling in conversations regarding Sukhyun's citizenship and other things, too. We get the general picture, but I wonder what is really being said in Korean.

I guess that subtitles are a guideline...we know the gist of what's going on ,but not exact translation.Maybe literal translation is not possible -

because of cultural differences. I know it's that way when trying to speak French or Spanish

Back to the citizenship thing- it just points up again to how many lies were and are told to Sukhyun.

If Nara says good morning ,he should raise the shades and check !

Yes, that's exactly what I love about these dramas--the cultural knowledge I get. For example, in last episode here--Nara found out that Jongnam was the girl who knocked her down. Nara was so cruel to Jongnam--throwing down the calcium tablets--and Jaeok was really on Nara's side. I wanted Jaeok to tell Nara to shut up, but I understand that's my Western eyes and heart. In Korean culture, respect to elders is very important. However, I do wish someone had tripped Nara--SHE'S SO MEAN. I DISLIKE HER SO MUCH!

OK ,my heart is hurting again. I think that Sukyun is putting on a big act in front of Haien ,Nara & Jaeman . When they are not looking,the real face comes on > I don't think he's gonna call off this wedding !

If it's not going to happen ,fate will have to intervene .

On Christmas Eve , S was standing outside the restaurant looking @ J. Her back was to the window ,but she sensed he was there. He had such a look of yearning in his eyes !!!
She finally turned around and ran to the window ,but he was walking away. So they both got to look at each others backs.

When she left for the night ,she found he'd left a gift on her motor scooter.

Kiwoong ,in the meantime , took his coworkers with him and entertained at the orphanage.Haien even told S that's what she did in the past.

I guess I'm still hoping for a big explosion @ the cafe when "Mr Kim " is introduced to Okdoo's family !!!!
