NYC Bizarre Bunch
Hi all, I'm a newbie to the K-section of this site. Normally I'm on the J-pages. But I am watching (and LOVING) BizarreBunch! I watched most of MSMD, but just couldn't bring myself to watch the torture every night. Too much! Whew! I love this new show, it's fun and light and quite funny. And I LOVE the wardrobe! Everybody's clothing just fits them so well, and they put such nice colors/patterns together. Very different from what I'm used to seeing here in NYC, and on American tv.
My point for posting today was to see if I could take a poll of where everybody is watching from. I believe there are several regions represented, and the show is NOT at the same place in every region. This is leading to spoiler possibilities for those who are viewing behind others. I think this is the case with us east-coast viewers: I think we're about a week behind (is it L.A. or Chicago?). Last night's ep here was the one where Ki Woon and Heian take their day-trip. They catch a fish and he arranges the most amazing and spontaneous romantic ocean-side table dinner to eat the fish together....but he's hidden a ring inside the fish. *sigh* I just loved that! Does anyone know how we can discuss this show together without accidental spoilers? I hope two forums isn't the only option.
I'm glad there's a page for this show as it looks like it'll be very enjoyable so far. For me, much better than MSMD. I liked it and watched it, but not every day like this show. :o) I look forward to many fun future discussions with you all!
Take care all,
zEn

Re: NYC Bizarre Bunch
WELCOME, zenstar!
Thanks for joining CJKDramas.com in California. class blockquote My point for posting today was to see if I could take a poll of where everybody is watching from. CJKDramas.com drama discussion is primarily from the focus of what is currently being viewed in California; therefore, anything that has been shown in an episode here is not considered a spoiler on this board.
However, as someone who really does not like to see spoilers myself, I can really appreciate how you feel, zenstar. The problem is exactly as you have stated it—with so many viewing it from different time zones on different schedules, it is not possible to have a discussion that is "spoiler free" for everyone, everywhere. Therefore, the standard for the board is what is currently viewed in California.
My suggestion is that perhaps there is a board more local to your area, such as the New Jersey board, or Philadelphia board—one that may be on the same drama schedule as yours. (Perhaps other members/viewers are familiar with other boards on the East Coast, of which I am not aware)

K-Drama: 별난여자, 별난남자 (The Bizarre Bunch/Peculiar Woman,Man)
Hi nchristi!
Thanks for the warm welcome :o). Do you happen to know if there is indeed a Jersey or Philly board? I guess I should go ahead and do a search, huh?! ^_^ Ok, thanks for the heads up. I'm just so happy to have found this forum, maybe I could just read a page or so behind...
Take care!

K-Drama: 별난여자, 별난남자 (The Bizarre Bunch/Peculiar Woman,Man)
Merry Christmas, everyone. Well I'm starting to like Bizarre Bunch now. Definitely Kiwoong--he's so cute--quite immature but cute. The characters are becoming more clear to me also.
Nchristi-- I love the former Jae-min as Min-jae in OMR--now I understand why you guys on MSMD board loved him--he's just too adorable there.
Also it's interesting to see stars that I've seen in other dramas in different roles. Isn't the grandmother of Kiwoong the former grandma (one of them) in YH?
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.

Re: K-Drama: 별난여자, 별난남자 (The Bizarre Bunch/Peculiar Woman,Man)
I just finished watching Friday's episode. I see they dropped a subtle little bomb in the scene between Nara and K-mom, both coincidentally visiting Aunt at the same time (Aunt has adopted Jongnam).
Nara, of course, doesn't like anything happening anywhere in the family that she can't control and is trying to get rid of Jongnam by marrying off Aunt to a widower with two daughters. Countering Nara's objections that bringing in a stranger to the family—raising someone else's child—isn't right, K-mom says something like this to Nara: "You should know what it's like."
So, since Nara has only one child, Sukhyun, and the implication is that she has raised a child not her own, who is Sukhyun's bio-mom?
There is one other loose end floating about that has been nagging at me. When Okdoo (Byeongdoo's divorced sister) was first buying into the coffee shop, I thought I heard something about Sukhyun's father having been involved somehow with the woman who owned the coffee shop. Anybody remember that?
There's definitely some big secret going on here. K-mom is distressed and resentful towards Nara on some deep level; Grandmother seems to know, too. Sukhyun may not be Nara's birth son. If not, who are his parents and how did Nara become his mother? Could K-mom be his bio-Mom? And maybe that's why Grannie told her that time that she should be bowing and scraping the rest of her life in gratitude to Nara? That doesn't seem possible, but I'm stumped over why K-mom should be so eternally grateful to Nara. ????
