K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)

I'm with you nchristi, this show is getting off to a bad start. It's to depressing. I sure hope that someone at KBS is watching the show to see how bad the subs are.

I sure hope that things start to turn around for that poor woman, if not I will not be able to stand watching it.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)

I guess we're mostly suffering from "Ajumma" withdrawal here. Anyway, I'm really liking this plucky young widow and here kid who can't seen to get all of her food past her face and into her mouth. I'm hoping that the guy that is currently smitten with her is on the up and up, but I'm certain that there will be lots of pain suffered all around before this thing pans out. Had to let out a big, "You go girl!" to the female assistant to that guy who's thinks he hung the moon when she gulped down that drink and finally gave the jerk "what for." emoticon The little sissy ran off with his tail between his legs and will most likely need another fifty or so episodes before he turns the keys over to her and lets her drive. emoticon

I have no problem looking at a familiar formula as long as I like the folks that I'm looking at, and these folks seem pretty cool to me. Can't wait for Il-Hong's boss to take one on the chin too. Comeuppence...if only the world were as good at evening things out as they do in the Kdramas.... emoticon

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)

I guess I've seen so many of these mini-dramas that I no longer suffer withdrawal, though I remember way back to when I did. I used to come home from work exhausted just when 7:30p drama was beginning and it was like walking in the door to a warm, happy family. After months and months of coming home to "family," when it ended I went through a very real emotional withdrawal. But after getting a number of these dramas under my belt, however, I don't miss any of them any more. I just enjoy (or don't enjoy) the journey as it unfolds.

Innocent Woman doesn't appeal to me a whole lot—yet. (But I nearly hated Ajumma for the first month or so.) The characters are a little different from the ordinary and I like most of the cast here. The obsessive guy with the face masks is a new type. Who is he, anyway? I know he's come to do something with the furniture company, but how is he connected? Is he related by family somehow?

I like the fellow at the model home place who likes and helps our IW (Innocent Woman)... he is refreshing to me. The actor brings a sweet, good-hearted quality that is good to see. He and our leading lady make a good couple.

I like the young mother. I'm surprised she is still carrying that 'other' baby around. But isn't that baby sooooo cute?

Robbo... LOL should we call that baby the little octopus?

Nchristi... did it really take you a while to get into Ajumma? That one grabbed me from episode #1.... However, most dramas take me a while. I think it takes me longer than other folks to get acquainted with the characters. I'm a bit slow emoticon

(Oh, by the way Nchristi... I bought, watched 3 times... 3-Iron....)

It sure did take me a long time to like Ajumma. You know how I dislike O-mom's personality? Onim was worse at the start and all three of them together were nearly unbearable for me. Good thing I hung in there, right! emoticon

I'm sure I will get into Innocent Woman, too. I don't expect it will be the same high quality story as Ajumma, but so far it looks promising. Who knows... maybe I will love our Innocent Woman before we're through.

[3-Iron - Amazing film, isn't it?! I guess a picture IS worth a thousand words. emoticon]

OMG you guys read my mind on this. I was thinking that if the misery doesn't end quickly that I'd have to give this one a pass. Thankfully her new job shows some promise (and a love interest?) so hopefully the misery is done with and we can move on to some happy happy fun times emoticon

so Namji is the honest, caring guy that we thought. Will Il-hong's charming personality and life struggles be the turning point for Namji or is he going to exploit her as well? I hope not...she seems to be falling for him. I suppose you could call Il-hong a con magnet. Hopefully her kindheartedness and generosity will be rewarded in the end.

What a shock. I couldn't believe the guy has a gambling habit, owes loan sharks, and is obviously playing IW. Will someone like that really change? Well, I guess he will through the miracle of K-drama because he's one of the main cast!
