K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
Maybe Ilhong will get pregnant again, by DG.
She'll have 3 girls by three different men. She is just like a modern woman now.
I was surprised she got pregnant by Namgi when she hardly knew him.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
I was thinking the exact same thing, AteOyie! With Ilhong's track record, she'll probably get pregnant from last night's fiasco with Designer Guy!
The most annoying scene last night, though, was the Old Geezer trying to pressure Mr. Seo into coming back "home." What a hypocrite! Yeah, sure, Seo has a daughter, but the real reason is probably so the O-Geez can run off with Okbun! If only Mr. Seo goes home, it will probably make it easier for O-Geez to take off.
I'm curious to see how Namgi is going to treat Mr. Seo now that Eom has planted the suspicion in his ear that Seo is the father of Ilhong's youngest girl. Poor Mr. Seo seems to be everybody's target these days.
So, Ilhong's friend pretended to be Ilhong to the Old Battle Axe! That should complicate things nicely. What an old witch. At least it might save Ilhong from some added misery. I laughed when the friend overpowered the old gal, "hurting" her... so she decides to be verbal from now on instead of physical. (No wonder Seo isn't about to go back! Three generations of nasty women. Ayeong is already a chip off the two old blocks.)
I'm liking this drama pretty much these days. It has things that aren't predictable, which makes it much more tolerable. Probably the most annoying thing to me in the past is how much of a doormat Ilhong makes herself. It was refreshing to see her stand up against Designer Guy and put him in his place. He may act all superior, but isn't he suffering wonderfully at home alone? (There's hope for him yet.) He's got that girl under his skin but can't control her. How frustrating is that for a DG type?!

I’m curious to see how this pans out; so once a week/month (?) I’ll watch an ep or so (maybe) and read this thread just to keep up.
nshelden further wrote: I know a lot of people don’t' care for this one but it's my favorite current drama. I really enjoy it. Ilhong reminds me of Okdoo (Bizarre Bunch) because she has such a pure innocence about her. Ilhong is just exposed more to being taken advantage of.
I would say Yinok (in Hong Gil Dong) reminds me of Okdoo, but not Ilhong. I think Ilhong’s “actions” rule out the term “pure innocence” to describe her.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
Ilhong definitely attracts the needy guys with her subtle charm and generosity. From her comments lately, she appears to be content being alone (without a man) raising her girls but there have been a few instances where DG is beginning to open a few emotional doors that Ilhong has kept shut for quite some time and she seems to be beginning to feel the discomfort of the situation. Should she resist all of the affection that is being offered to her? will opening herself up and entering into a relationship with one of these men be the answer? It will be interesting to see the writers viewpoint and whether or not it reflects past or current generational Korean thought.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
I think nsheldon is going to be ecstatically happy with how this drama goes. The dead giveaway was a couple episodes ago when Ilhong and DG met in the park. When she rushed home, she stood outside her gate suddenly aware that her heart was beating fast and wondering why. Yep, those two are destined to get together—eventually.
I've finally come to the point where Designer Guy is getting to me, too. The actor is perfect for this role. He is maddeningly haughty, arrogant and demanding. But alone in the emotional emptiness of his apartment, he's a vulnerable, almost pitiful guy caught in a great confusion of having had his impenetrable defenses totally breached. Now he's little more than a big emotional mess! LOL!
So that leaves Ayeong without a guy. The only available man who is her age is Namgi. I wonder if they'll get together?! Ilhong's sidekick will probably end up with the lawyer (two whacky characters together seems to be a common K-drama recipe). In time, I'd guess Mr. Seo and his wife will probably reconcile. He's not going to get Ilhong and will probably re-think his burst into his sudden freedom. Hopefully his wife will come to her senses, too, and begin appreciating Mr. Seo instead of treating him like he's non-existent as an individual.
I don't even like to think about the Old Geez and his Wife. Could care less about what happens to either of them. Frankly, they seem to deserve each other.

K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
ecause Ilhong surrounded herself with these losers (Okbun, Namgi, Mr. Seo) she is now having all these problems. I know she is nice but nice to the extent of being a doormat. Everybody will just take advantage of her.
Now that Grandma (Ayeong's), she is so mean. I was brought up to respect elders but with what she did I don't think I'll just stand there and take all her abuse. Respect has to be earned. Her friend did not let get this kind of treatment . She stood her grounds.
By the way, how will Ilhong's oldest daughter, who has a crush on DG, reacts if & when DG & Ilhong get together???
