Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)

Last nite DG again tried to get Ilhong to admit she has feelings for him. He wants her to give him any reason at all not to go through with his marriage to Ayeong. Hmmm, seems like HE should come up with his own reasons not to marry Ayeong!!

DG basically is willing to go through with this 'business wedding' unless Ilhong stops him. He needs to say "NO" to the wedding and then start wooing Ilhong with patience and love. (I adore DG though)....

Is Gramps able to just get up and walk out on Granny? Why is he staying with her if he is so miserable?

I couldn't believe Namgi told DG that Ilhong went with him to the amusement park. When DG questioned Ilhong about being with Namgi all she would say is that he didn't have the facts (something like that).

At this point Ilhong just wants to stay out of the line of fire when it comes to Ayeong, her mother and her grandmother. Ilhong obviously is attracted to DG but she is more concerned with her family's safety.

Ayeong's mother has now planted the seed in DG's mother's mind that Ilhong is trash, a tramp and a gold digger, and..... she's after DG.

K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)

I agree with one reader who thought that the title of this show should be "The Stupid Woman"

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)

after viewing last nights episode, I would like to see DG with Ilhong and her daughters. They seem to be a pair whose dynamics would not stagnate. At least with DG, Ilhong is not in a position to "need" a man for financial support but rather someone that she can share her life and her passions with. Namji is out for obvious reasons, Mr. Seo is too whipped and wounded by his ex-wife and mother-in-law to be one that can sustain a long relationship without it becoming burdensome. (I am saddened that Mr. Seo hasn't, until recently, asserted himself and taken on the role of "head of household". His soft hearted side allowed himself to live a life of quiet desperation and misery. How sad.

I'm sure in the end Mr. Seo will return home. But his wife will have learned some lessons about how to treat her man by then (I hope). Mr. Seo may be quiet and low-key, but his life is worthy of respect.

Finally we see DG show some gumption! Good for him. I'm glad to see him make a decision on his own instead of just giving up and allowing himself to be emotionally blown about hither and yon. It will be a big job to get Ilhong to give in to her true feelings, but at least DG has taken the first important step. But, of course, as K-drama goes, she'll probably push him away and tell him she never wants to see him again and our moment of bliss will evaporate. Poof!

LOL .. Yep, I bet you're right about that nchristi. I was so happy when DG made one of those famous Korean Drama UTURNS in the middle of the highway and went right back to Ilhong's. There he just grabs and holds her close to him. He's showing her how much he cares. And I think he kinda suspects that she may have feelings for him too.

Monday we'll see Ilhong pull away from him and tell him off!

DG told Ilhong earlier to just let him take the lead and he will take care of everything. DG is letting Ilhong know he loves her and that he will take care of everyone else if she will trust him. Too bad Ilhong isn't ready for this (yet).

We're replaying Pure in Heart with a different cast and a different story but the same dynamic (Evil witches brewing up trouble for the very "angel" who will end up as their salvation.) The rich snob with a past and icewater in his veins being thawed out by the fairy princess while he stiffs the bride to be after being nearly pulled into the wrong marriage by his nose. Plenty of pain all around until the good guys finally win. As long as they do get to win, I'll go home happy. emoticon

How come Ilhong did not anticipate that by hiring Namgi and being around him will bring a lot of problems such as him finding out he is the father of the youngest girl

AteOyie asked,
How come Ilhong did not anticipate that by hiring Namgi and being around him will bring a lot of problems such as him finding out he is the father of the youngest girl

Because she's stupid, as one of the posters has already said. Some would say good and charitable, but In my opinion, STUPID. She surrounds herself with losers, who take advantage of her and hurt her time and time again. I don't care how good , or how innocent you are, you have to wise up at some point. She just keeps doing the same thing with the same horrible people. Doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity. I take it back, she's not stupid, she's insane.

Sorry to all of you Ilhong fans out there. Like I said, just my opinion. emoticon

LOL... Yes, I'm a fan of ILhong. I think Ilhong is a good person. But I totally agree that she is stupid.... Her hiring Namgi is coming back to bite her in the butt and she should have known better. She has no right to be upset or worry about what Namgi may find out about Jinsol. SHE's the one that is bringing it upon herself.

Ok, last nite ended with Ilhong asking Mr Seo if he thinks it is ok for her, a mother of three childre, to fall in love. I wonder if Mr Seo will think she is in love with him????

Atta girl, Liz!!! It was nice to see that shameless grifter get a few choice pops to the noggin. emoticon I just wish she was as tough with granny as she is with Pretty and the gigilo punk. emoticon

Ilhong sits trapped with DG in his "_and _over." He's really the only good match for her at this point. Mr. Seo is happy as he is and Namgi needs to go back to the big house. He's a far cry from being able to function civilized society. If it wasn't for the little girl, I'd sooner he scoop up his associate, Mrs. Eom, Granny, and Mrs. Seo and make for the high country.

Mother hen (Ilhong) will take the scratches out of all of the damaged furniture eventually. Her character has nothing to do with being stupid. You don't defeat evil by becoming evil. When we run out of nice people, it will be a sad day indeed. Maybe we should all try to stick around for the Happy World shorts that follow each episode. I find that they often put things in the right perspective.
