K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
I agree with one reader who thought that the title of this show should be "The Stupid Woman"

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
after viewing last nights episode, I would like to see DG with Ilhong and her daughters. They seem to be a pair whose dynamics would not stagnate. At least with DG, Ilhong is not in a position to "need" a man for financial support but rather someone that she can share her life and her passions with. Namji is out for obvious reasons, Mr. Seo is too whipped and wounded by his ex-wife and mother-in-law to be one that can sustain a long relationship without it becoming burdensome. (I am saddened that Mr. Seo hasn't, until recently, asserted himself and taken on the role of "head of household". His soft hearted side allowed himself to live a life of quiet desperation and misery. How sad.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
We're replaying Pure in Heart with a different cast and a different story but the same dynamic (Evil witches brewing up trouble for the very "angel" who will end up as their salvation.) The rich snob with a past and icewater in his veins being thawed out by the fairy princess while he stiffs the bride to be after being nearly pulled into the wrong marriage by his nose. Plenty of pain all around until the good guys finally win. As long as they do get to win, I'll go home happy.

K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
How come Ilhong did not anticipate that by hiring Namgi and being around him will bring a lot of problems such as him finding out he is the father of the youngest girl

AteOyie asked,
How come Ilhong did not anticipate that by hiring Namgi and being around him will bring a lot of problems such as him finding out he is the father of the youngest girl
Because she's stupid, as one of the posters has already said. Some would say good and charitable, but In my opinion, STUPID. She surrounds herself with losers, who take advantage of her and hurt her time and time again. I don't care how good , or how innocent you are, you have to wise up at some point. She just keeps doing the same thing with the same horrible people. Doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity. I take it back, she's not stupid, she's insane.
Sorry to all of you Ilhong fans out there. Like I said, just my opinion.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
Atta girl, Liz!!! It was nice to see that shameless grifter get a few choice pops to the noggin. I just wish she was as tough with granny as she is with Pretty and the gigilo punk.
Ilhong sits trapped with DG in his "_and _over." He's really the only good match for her at this point. Mr. Seo is happy as he is and Namgi needs to go back to the big house. He's a far cry from being able to function civilized society. If it wasn't for the little girl, I'd sooner he scoop up his associate, Mrs. Eom, Granny, and Mrs. Seo and make for the high country.
Mother hen (Ilhong) will take the scratches out of all of the damaged furniture eventually. Her character has nothing to do with being stupid. You don't defeat evil by becoming evil. When we run out of nice people, it will be a sad day indeed. Maybe we should all try to stick around for the Happy World shorts that follow each episode. I find that they often put things in the right perspective.
