Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
I like watching this drama (mostly for DG and Ilhongs interactions and Jinbongs character) but lately it has been showing shades of Lonely Bird...same arguments, same crying, same screeming just taking place in different rooms...enough already..get on with the show!

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
I'm hugely disappointed in Ilhong for lying like that. Liz already has an accurate DNA report in her hot little hands. It is simple to get another. As usual, such a stupid lie might "solve" things for a nano-second but it only causes Ilhong (and others) more pain in the meantime. I thought she'd have more integrity than that.
Is there any character left in this group who is an upright person? Maybe only Mr. Seo. He doesn't take action, but I can't recall him deliberately lying or deceiving others. And maybe DG. He's been persnickety and hard to deal with, but I don't recall him lying or deceiving others. He's probably the most honest, upfront character here.
I'm about to bale on this one. Last night's episode was a complete turnoff to me. The constant fighting, crying, lying, conniving, threatening, etc. This doesn't add anything positive to my life and I'm more turned off to this drama now than I can recall with any other. I'm beginning to strongly dislike nearly every character. Not a good sign.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
If OG dies, his family cannot automatically take Sarang under ROK Family Law. Liz is the bio-mother and has joint parental right with OG. If he dies, his family's "rights" are secondary to Liz's rights. The days of children legally belonging only to the father (and his family) are gone. It was abolished legally and so was the Family Registry that perpetuated the exclusive right of male lineage. If Ilhong has some sort of legal guardianship of Sarang that might figure in the mix, but it doesn't seem she has all that much of a legal foundation on which to rely.
I think Ilhong's lie will cause more trouble than she thinks it solved. It infuriated Liz, who seems much more determined about legal custody now and much less willing to be cooperative with Ilhong going forward. While he lives, OG is not going to rip Sarang away from Ilhong, either.
Ilhong is going to be the big loser here unless she gets along with Liz. I thought it was interesting that Liz reminded us that she had not abandoned Sarang for all those years, but couldn't find Ilhong and Sarang due to Ilhong's lifestyle. I appreciate what a good and loving mother Ilhong is, but she has made incredibly foolish, unthinking choices in her life and suffered the consequences upon herself and her children. Some of Ilhong's foolish choices contributed to Liz not getting her daughter back years earlier, too. Both women share the responsibility of Sarang's plight today. They need to work together and with OG for Sarang's sake.
