But, I think MrsSeo is mistaken, I don’t think Furniture Master is owned by Ilhong, but it’s more owned by her [Mrs. Seo's] husband—right?
Didn’t Ilhong gave most of the ownership to him—right? It's hard to know via the e-subs who really legally owns it, but I remember it this way. Ilhong had rapidly increasing profits from her booming company and also a big contract with a US company. Mr. Seo had lost a huge chunk of his company's money when he loaned it to a Mr. Kim—who ran off to China with all of it, leaving Mr. Seo broke. (That's probably why Furniture Master went bankrupt in the first place.) Mr. Kim made a killing in China, returned and paid back Mr. Seo. Seo and Ilhong combined their funds to bid on Furniture Master. I have the impression that they own it jointly (or close to it). However, Ilhong has insisted that Mr. Seo be the CEO and run FM, since he invented the new wood-finishing process and that's how they got the big contract with the US company for rights to use the process.
Bottom line is that I think they both own FM; Ilhong has just insisted that Mr. Seo run FM while she handles her own, original company.
But don't you just know that if Mrs. Seo demands FM as a price for Sarang's life, both Ilhong and Mr. Seo will give in to her in a snap. Thanks, nchristi, for clarifying it for me. This drama is taking too long to finish and I sometimes forget what happened earlier....
No words to describe MrsSeo’s action on passed episodes…
Just unbelievable.
I know she, Lee Bo Hee, is just acting…but I’m not sure from now on if I could ever watch a drama with her in it….
That goes for grandma-too.

Re: K-Drama: 착한여자 백일홍 (The Innocent Woman)
While the deplorable non-stop wickedness continues to prevail, the presentation of the two "black widows" has long since passed the stage of those that one "loves to hate" to those that one just plain hates. As has been my occasion at times when exploring this still new world (that of Asian drama) I've done a little digging on the wickedest of the two witches, "Mrs. Seo" played by Lee Bo Hee. Confirming my suspicion that these veteran talents are not the recent invention the scientists in central casting, but actual flesh and blood people with a recorded history, I googled her name, and ,sure enough, she has a prior existance.
In the 80's, Ms. Lee (born May 25, 1959) enjoyed quite a well-regarded career in the Korean movie industry before moving into the television drama realm at the turn of the 21st century. Though there has always been something very scary behind the take-no-prisoners, calculating, all-knowing, sideways leers offered by her character, this is an actresss whose presense commands the screen. She puts me in mind of the great Gong Li as an entity that went from infant to adult without the intrusion of a confused adolescense. (Head tilted back, regal bearing, and capable of usurping any rank or age priviledge in the immediate area by merely being there.) Your eyes follow her movements while she can follow yours without turning her head. Cuteness did not jumpstart this actress' career. She seems the the kind that looked at the script once, then told the director how it was going to be played. Both of our "widows" began their careers as pin-up/models guarenteed to haul in a certain percentage of the audience just by showing up in view of the camera. Ms. Lee offers the kind of consistant performance that for insures her the oppurtunity to continue to do so.
I hope for the actress' personal sake that the public knows that she's just acting.
Lee Bo Hee as/in Eo Wu-Dong (1985)
Gong Li born to be in charge!

Re: K-Drama: 착한여자 백일홍 (The Innocent Woman)
nsheldon, I too have to agree on the “missing something” part.
When did MrSeo say that he is getting back with his ex. I don’t think he—himself said it, but Ayeong said it to him, which he did not answer back.
Being college educated Ayeong, she sometimes acts, or it’s her personality, like she is immature young lady—just clueless.
Same thoughts exactly—on Sarang’s donor letter. (me)
For sure this is it…the icy heart of MrsSeo will melt—but NO~ ~ ~
Sooooo evil that woman.
Thanks, smoochie, for letting us know that—“there is a light at the end of the tunnel”!
So looking forward.
Yes, I did some research myself on the writer of this drama.
His name is Ko Bong Hwang.
Yes! H-I-S….[BTW, the only other writing of drama he did is 18 vs 29]
No wonder, the women in this drama are evil, naive, clueless, helpless, self-centered, greedy… and I’m sure there are more words to describe them.
Weren’t there any good roll model of women around him when he was writing this drama, hun—hun?
Just riding along for the “end of the tunne”!

Re: K-Drama: 착한여자 백일홍 (The Innocent Woman)
Maybe Mrs. Seo considers her ex-husband "hers" because she now has control of both the company he is running and his wood-grain process. Unless he is planning to leave Furniture Master and work elsewhere, or start up a new company somehow, he is back under his wife's control. After all the low down things she has done, why wouldn't she try to force him to remarry her as a condition for the marrow transplant? Her big thing in life is to get the three things back she lost to Ilhong and make her sweat bullets while it's happening: Furniture Master, her husband, and DG as her son-in-law. She's icy enough to hold out on the marrow donation until Sarang is on the brink of death. DG will give in, too, unless someone like Okbun returns and perhaps has a marrow match herself.
I'm really sick of this TV Novel. I can't stand the villains or Ilhong or Jinbong or Pretty or even Sarang. She may be a sweet, pitiful kid, but I've always found this young actress especially annoying. The way she hangs her mouth open all the time, even when she was healthy she looked like a corpse. It is the absolute worst and most tiresome TV Novel I've ever seen. What a scheduling mistake for KBS to have this one follow on the heels of Here Comes Ajumma!—one of the best they ever turned out.

Re: K-Drama: 착한여자 백일홍 (The Innocent Woman)
Hello Kdrama Family
Robbo4, thanks for the pictures. Both total beauties!
I saw Lee Bo Hee in Terms of Endearment, where she played a funny part and very well, I might add. When I saw her in this I was disappointed, because I liked the goofiness of her last part. But, I know that's what being an actress is.
Recently, I saw her toxic mother on a talk show and she was lovely. Not at all like the witch she plays here. She was dressed in up to the minute fashion too and I had to look hard, before I realized who she was.
Nchristi, you're so right, Ajumma was a great gem.
This one goes around and around, until you're nauseated by all of the characters, the good, the evil and the stupid. What a waste of time and yet, I watched the whole thing like the rest of you. So embarrassing.
Later

Re: K-Drama: 착한여자 백일홍 (The Innocent Woman)
The only reason I am still watching this show is to see if the 2 evil b****** get what is coming to them.
I am really going to be mad if the writers of this show don't do anything to punish these two.
I will be happy when this one is over.
