Well, normally the evil ones don't get what's coming to them. Rather they see the error of their ways and change miraculously into real human beings.

Although, a couple dramas ago (already forgot the name of it) the guy (I couldn't stand) did end up doing time in prison.
But, nsheldon, you are forgetting about your mooost FAVORITE K-Drama A River Flows..... when you got to see your mooost FAVORITE character, Fancy Pants, die.

How could you forget such sweeeeet memories. emoticon
Wait—wait….so can I hope for the dooms day of MrsSeo????? Image

Gosh, the pain Seungpyo is feeling…..when he was sobbing at the couch, I just wanted to sit by him, pat him on the shoulder and say …. “there—there, it’s OK, everything will be OK, but you have to wait for about 20 more episodes." emoticon

Well, I missed Ilhong last nite. Anyone able to do a quick re-cap for me?

Neko: I know how you feel. I also wanted to comfort our DG. He loves those girls as if they were his own. He knew he would do anything to save Sarang...

Every time Mrs Seo smiles that evil wicked smile I just want to bang her head into the wall.

Geeze I feel so sorry for Ilhong. Not only has she had to go through all this pain from Sarang being ill, now she is slapped with DG dumping her. How much more can this woman take?

So Ayeong's co-worker is in love with her. I bet it will be Ayeong that will back out of this NY wedding! I still cannot understand Ayeong's 'hurt' over DG not showing up to marry her. He never once accepted her and continually told her he was in love with Ilhong. Yet she donned that wedding gown and waited.....

Ayeong made a couple comments last nite about DG hurting her. I just wanted to slap her and tell her the only person hurting her is her mother. Ayeong knows DG loves someone else, and Ayeong doesn't love DG either. Yet she's hurt???? More like STUPID!

Aeyong is one really stupid woman. I don't know about all of you, but I don't think that I would give up my life and move to New York to marry some man that does not love me, just to make my mother and mother-in-law happy and wealthy.

Aeyond needs to tell mom that the marriage is not going to happen.

Should be interesting to see what happens tonight.

Ilhong should give up, stay single and devote her entire life to her kids. She is carrying too much baggage.
She should let DG go, even if not with Ayeong, let him go to NEW York, get his MBA then go back to Korea, if they are really meant for each other, they'll end up together.

Re: K-Drama: 착한여자 백일홍 (The Innocent Woman)

I have no problem with Ilhong staying single if that was what she really wanted. But it’s not. I have no problem with DG going to NY to further his education or to go there with Ayeong and marry her… but that’s not what he wants either.

DG made a deal with the devil and he’ll keep his word (if he can).

But DG and Ilhong love each other and want to be together.

As far as Ilhong’s baggage… well, she does have a truckload of that. I guess it would take a lot of love to be willing to accept a single mother with three daughters (from 3 different fathers). But DG is up for it. (Well, he was before Mrs Seo ruined it all)

Namgi… What am I going to do with this guy? He is so STUPID!!! He’s so intent on clearing his name that he would stoop to kidnapping? How will he ever get out of this? He didn’t look happy about what he did and it was obviously not the plan to kidnap Ayeong.. I think he meant to kidnap Mrs Seo. It was Mrs Seo’s car he was waiting for. He didn’t expect Ayeong to be in it.

But he’s still a key player in this kidnapping. Heck, he even put the tape back on Ayeong’s mouth after she cried to her mother on the phone.

Maybe this will be the big trade-off without involving the police or sending anyone to jail. Mrs. Seo can send Namgi to jail for kidnapping. Namgi can send Mrs. Seo to jail for trying to kill Ilhong and the FM workers. If one goes to the police, they both fall.

It'll be interesting to see how this goes down tonight.

Re: K-Drama: 착한여자 백일홍 (The Innocent Woman)

I wasn't happy with last night's episode for reasons that I usually let slide regarding this form of entertainment--incongruence and implausibility. emoticon

  * Mrs. Seo, (the actress apparently having had such a hard time believing her own character would react in such a way that she couldn't even russle up a single stage-tear. [And I'm sure theat Il-Hong had more than a few spare ones that she could have loaned her!]) who has shown a single-minded loyalty money, money, money, and more money-while throwing every single body or entity at her disposal (her marriage, her daughter, her associates...) under the bus in order to gain more, more, more, and still more of the stuff, is suddenly moved to (nowhere near) tears at the thought of her 'precious" daughter in peril.

   * Namgi, already on parole with the threat of a much longer (possibly life) prison sentence willingly takes part in a major felony and suddenly becomes so callous (as mentioned previously by nsheldon) that he would re-tape the mouth of an innocent, frightened, and crying girl (flashback to his own daughter crying due to the taunts of her classmates with an exponential increase to about the 10th power! emoticon ) whom had been left alone for him to guard.

*Seongpyo inexplicably playing along with this absurd deal made with the devil (there may be "honor among theives", but when did he become one of the "theives"?) that causes undue torture, pain, and ill health to the woman he loves and to the family that needs him. emoticon

The only one staying in character from this episode is the elder black widow who laments only that her daughter is being "so easily" extorted from the her hard-earned, ill-gotten gains over something as seemingly trivial as the life of her only child. emoticon

Seeing Ayeong terrified, crying, and in mortal danger, and knowing that her only salvation is left in the hands of a duo of single-minded miscreants and her addle-brained captives has me more than a bit concerned for the life of this unlikely damsel in distress. emoticon

Surely all is not lost in the case of the two black widows, however. With her penchant for always covering all of the bases and possibilities...Deok-Hee probably stands to collect handsomely from a large linsurance policy taken out on the life her "beloved" daughter.... emoticon

Re: K-Drama: 착한여자 백일홍 (The Innocent Woman)

I didn't think either Mrs. Seo or Namgi were out of character. I wouldn't expect Mrs. Seo to shed any tears. Tears are not a measure of love for one's child. Her near mega-anxiety was more in line with what her personality is, in my opinion. Not all women cry when distraught. She is very much a controlled, cerebral type that businessmen pride themselves as being.

As for Namgi re-taping Ayeong's mouth, what else could he do with Flounder & The Boys hovering over him? He's putting on a front so he doesn't blow it with Flounder until he's in a safer position. When they leave, he will probably treat Ayeong very differently. He's not a bad guy in his heart, or cruel to the innocent.

I agree about DG. His 'honor' defies understanding. Once Sarong got the marrow transplant he could have acted differently. Keeping his word for the sake of his 'honor' is just silly in this case. He's cutting off his nose to spite his face.
