class blockquote I wonder if they cut a lot out so they can make tonight be the ending? Guess we'll see. That's a good thought and has happened in the past.

If ever I saw an I'm off to the other world scene, it was Gramps in his white suit, surrounded with unusually vibrant colored flowers, Sarang, a wreath for her head and a flower-ring on her finger. It seems pretty weird that Okbun hasn't reappeared, but maybe she will by episode 174. Or she could just be another one of those loose ends K-drama is famous for.

I'm still waiting to see what Mr. Seo wrote on that white birch tree at the beginning of the drama! With Namgi going out there to work on the tree farm now, I'm wondering if he will come upon the secret wish/message.

Anyone care to give a short recap on Friday's show? (I missed it because we had to pick up my daughter from UCLA-traffic was bad so didnt get home in time). But since tonight is the last episode, I will make sure that I don't miss it-I will have dinner early, and be in my room at 7:25. I even have the alarm on my cell already set as a reminder.

CantGetEnough, you mean Mom's Dead Upset is moving to weekdays?

Well, I forget the shows practically as soon as they air. But Friday they had Gramps' funeral. Mrs Seo was allowed to attend. She was somewhat kicked down a few notches and we didn't see any hatefulness from her at all.

DG's mother gives DG a painting to give to Ilhong's oldest daughter. I guess it was a small step in the right direction and a big step in acceptance.

The ending was just what this old lady craves!! LOL Everyone ended up happy. Namgi apparently is still working at the tree farm and is very happy there. DG seems comfortable enough in his marriage/life that he was just fine with Namgi seeing Jinsol. It was sweet and sappy and I loved it!

Also sweet (finally) was DG's mother showing up at the house and holding her granddaughter.

But what a transformation Mrs Seo had. She even had a look of peace on her face.

Ayeong happily married and hoping to get pregnant...

Mr Min and DG are the only men in that house. They all are stil living together .... 7 women... 2 men....

Happy Ending... (but oh so glad this is OVER!)

The replacement drama aired on KBS World previously. And though I didn't see it, I think I'll be ok sitting it out..

Re: K-Drama: 착한여자 백일홍 (The Innocent Woman)

At the end of the final episode of "Innocent Woman," a notice was tacked on the bottom of a brief screen. It said the next drama will be "You Stole My Heart," and that it will begin at this same time "next week." I don't know about the "next week" part, since we went over the Friday ending date by one episode. I'll go ahead and make a front page for "You Stole My Heart." Either it will begin tonight (Tuesday) or "next week" (Monday?)

There are some definite schedule shifts going on here, but we'll have to wait and see since no one who reads Korean has told us what the time announcements actually are. However it seems that we know the first two: class ul class li 7–7:30p - Mom's Dead Upset class li 7:30–8:00p - You Stole My Heart class li 8:00–8:30p - ? (Perhaps the usual 8:00p Local News?) class li 8:30–9p - ? (Destiny?)Guess we'll know tonight!

Innocent Woman has finally ended…..to my surprise, the ending was very satisfying.
Just loved the scene when Seungpyo found out that Ilhong is pregnant. Ahhh~

Even with the usual ending of “some years later” bits….it was an OK ending.

Namgi is doing good up in the country taking care of the white timber land, Ayeong is going to or is married to her co-worker—Mansu, Deokhui and Manja is reformed, but with a help from Mr Seo and gramps (he had to die in order to save them….which I was somewhat disappointed), Jinsol is no longer the baby of the house, Hyeonmyeong has talent in art, Sarang is kind hearted…..Seungpyo is cute with his dimple smile…Jinbong and Mr Min is a proud parent to a little girl. Ilhong is now happy with her new family and her best friend living together. Even Mrs Cha is kinder now.
The only one missing is Okbun(Ilhong’s MIL)? What happened to her?

Anyhoot—this drama did have it’s ups and downs….but now it’s over Image

Re: K-Drama: 착한여자 백일홍 (The Innocent Woman)

Okbun - I think they had to get rid of her so that there could be a decent family resolution in the Seo/Cheom household. It just wasn't proper for Gramps to dump his wife and family after all those decades, even though he did stray and father Sarang with Okbun. (Kind of like the mafia—fool around all you want but "the wife and kids" are kept separate and sacred.) Gramps had his fun with other women throughout his lifetime but in the end it was "proper" for him to have some loyalty to his wife, daughter, and Ayeong. Really, what would he do with Okbun? Divorce his wife and go off into the sunset with Okbun? Nah... wasn't going to happen. This way, Mrs. Seo and Sarang and the Ilhong crowd were all able to patch things up and become "family."

Now, if Okbun shows up eventually, there isn't any big conflict to be had with Gramps gone. Besides, if she makes it big in showbiz, she'll hook up with somebody more suitable, I'd bet.

Well, it ended on a pleasant note. But I am glad it is over! This one definitely goes on my Razzy Awards list. LOL!

Well, the ending's was nice to say the least. I love Ilhong's hair a year later. <3 I was disappointed about they had a daughter. I was hoping for a son~ But, ah well. Still a nice ending. Everyone's happy.
